#277754 Please someone, make this game for me.

Posted by MorbidGod on 18 March 2014 - 07:32 AM

I know what you mean man. Nintendo teased us with these awesome game concepts but never did anything with them. This is game would be awesome. The idea would work well with the next 3D Metroid.

#277454 Report: Xbox owners are deserting Microsoft consoles for the PlayStation 4

Posted by MorbidGod on 16 March 2014 - 10:26 AM

I wonder if Wii U will sell out X1 this gen.

It would certainly be interesting to see MS go down from 1st place last gen to last place this gen. It would show that Nintendo and Sony's focus on actual games instead of "media" is still what gamers are looking for.

Microsoft was second place last generation. But I would laugh so hard if Microsoft ends up loosing. Then I would cry because my guess on who would win would be wrong. :'(

#276790 When it comes to Donkey kong...

I'll be more than happy if Retro branches off and makes their own IP in the near future.  They've proven they release high-quality games with great precision and attention to detail.  I'd love to see them do something completely new with their next game, but I'd be lying if I didn't say I want to see them release a 3D Donkey Kong game in 2-3 years.

I know, they are very talented. The only thing that makes me think Nintendo doesn't want them for new IP's is simple: Their Name. Retro Studios. Retro, as in old games. I think that's why Nintendo made them.

But, I stand by what I want from them. A new IP. I'd love to see a nee shooter, similar to Metroid In that it has a huge open world but filled with more fighting. But, a new Metroid would also be good.

#276195 Batman Arkham Knight revealed...No WiiU version

Posted by MorbidGod on 07 March 2014 - 06:57 AM

As I say if it's not Mario or Zelda, Nintendo gamers just won't buy it in high enough numbers.

That's what I've been saying. Which, again, is why better hardware wouldn't help Nintendo with third parties. They just use excises.

it is difficult for developeur to propose a WiiU release in the same time as the xbox and ps4 version because the Wii U is a generation behind and so the game will not be the same

I beg to differ. The Wii U is not a generation behind. The Wii U hardware is weaker, sure, but not live the Wii vs PS3. It's more like 360 vs PS3 or N64 vs PS1 is probably a better comparison. But they were still able to develop multiplats back then, and still can today.

Or even PC vs PS4. Because the most powerful PC is light years ahead of the weak and meager PS4. But they are still able to develop Batman for PC and PS4.

You know the secret? Develop for the weakest platform and then port up.

Maybe Wii U sales were less than 1 million because there are like 7 million Wii u owners tops. It's not just a numbers thing, it's comparative, and based on the time the game was released, how much press it gets, etc. There is just so much more to it than sales numbers. And WAAAY more to it than how it tiered compared to Nintendo games.

The PS4 had less sales then the Wii U at the time of that article. And yet the PS4 version of Assassin Creed 4 were more then a million.

He's right. Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freezes doesn't use this at all, did  Pikmin 3 use it beyond a map feature? Nintendo bragged about the second screen, but have yet to do anything damn innovative with it.

He's right it hasn't been used, but it isn't a waste of resources for the developer if they use it. It would elevate your game.

#275942 What I would do to save the wii u

Posted by MorbidGod on 05 March 2014 - 03:20 PM

No company can afford a lose, least of all Sony and Nintendo, the former due to their financial woes and the latter due to their increasing irrelevancy in a market they once dominated.

Also why would anyone trade in a system that has plenty of good games for a system which has no must have games? The Wii U isn't worth the investment and a Wii trade in programme won't change that.

If the Wii U had some compelling games I'd agree, but no one with an ounce of intelligent would trade their Wii in for a Wii U.

They buy them for the present and the future. Both the Xbox One and PS4 will have a vast library of games while the Wii U is plagued by game droughts.

Out of all the consoles the one that offers the least value for money is the Wii U.

The Wii U might have the least value, but that doesn't mean the loads of Nintendo franchises don't make the system worth it. Heck, Smash Bros alone makes the Wii U a worthy investment, and that's not including games like Wonderful 101, Mario, DKTF, Pikman 3, ZombiU,X, Bayonneta 2 and any other game coming out this year and all ready out. Yes, they aren't out yet, but apparently the future promise of games Is enough for those gamers to buy those systems, should be enough to buy a Wii U.

And, truthfully, why do you need third party games when you have a PS3 /PS4/XB1/360? A lot of gamers these days buy more than one console. I'm on me of them.

#275817 COD Ghosts Wii U gets big update; lots of fixes and Free Fall map now available

Posted by MorbidGod on 05 March 2014 - 07:50 AM

If I actually liked CoD, I'd be happy. But let's be honest, it's not like they're up to the point where they're treating this version the same as the others.

The fact they spent the resources to fix these problems should be a good sign though.

Posted by MorbidGod on 05 March 2014 - 07:38 AM

people won't buy a console if there are no games for it, thats the fact of the matter, nothing Nintendo can do can change this, if someone hasn't already got a WiiU who knows the WiiU's situation they won't buy one because of backwards compatibility or a trade-in scheme,

Well, I do agree generally games are needed and that these ideas won't work. However, a lot of people have bought the PS4 and Xbox One and there's not a whole lot of great must have titles for those.

#275256 Retro Studios calls Wii U a "Powerhouse" - confirms new game

Like DKC:TF!  Lovin' it!

I can't wait to play that game.

#275243 Retro Studios calls Wii U a "Powerhouse" - confirms new game

Posted by MorbidGod on 01 March 2014 - 10:33 AM

I see a lot of people saying that the two statements that the Wii U is "a powerhouse" and "more than adequate to make good games on" contradict each other... How on earth???

Let's assign these statements to numbers... If "powerhouse" is 10, and "adequate" is 5, then can't "more than adequate" be anything above "adequate"?

lol sorry about that... I just can't stand it when people make logical errors online. xD

Peoole on the internet don't understand Wii U = Able to make Damn Good Looking Games.

#275143 Retro Studio: Wii U "great box to make games on." New game already in...

Posted by MorbidGod on 28 February 2014 - 04:12 PM

Doesn't matter, we won't see it until 2016 by Retro's rate.

Hopefully not. And with the studio being the size it is, it could be that they were working it while making DKTF. And hopefully not a Metroid, but if it is I'm still buying it

Oh, and he doesn't know what he's talking about. Wii U sucks. Its not powerful at all. SNES is obviously more powerful xD

#275093 Unofficial PRE-E3 Talk

Posted by MorbidGod on 28 February 2014 - 09:27 AM

They should show space. Lots of space, emphasis on space. Then some desolate planetscape.

Then whirr up a load engine-like noise before cutting.

People could guess Metroid, but they could also guess F-Zero, Star Fox, and heck, even go so far as Sin and Punishment.

Then there will be that one guy who'll be like "Oh geez I almost thought that was FF7's opening scene."

That would be awesome!

#274950 Unofficial PRE-E3 Talk

Posted by MorbidGod on 27 February 2014 - 01:05 PM

The hype idea is cool.
The question is: would that imply revealing to much of the E3 show? Because if i does, just do it as they always do.
If Nintendo had a lot of games coming this year (1st and 3rd party), then a teaser could be a good choice. I just believe the majority of the press conference will be about Nintendo and Indie games.

For the actual show, i think last year showed that there`s a difference in showing your games being presented by Iwata on a video and being shown on a stage in front of the crowd. The last one just doesn`t create enough hype or excitement.
So, i`m crossing my fingers for a live  show again. It`s way more engaging and memorable.

In terms of games, i think there will be some 3rd party surprises - even if just old or known franchises.
Metroid will be there; Smash will be announced for July and a Wii U pokemon/Zelda for the holidays; Starfox will be shown as a Nintendo exclusive RPG.

That`s what i want to see! :)

The pre-E3 trailers on Spike would be a little teaser but not enough to reveal what the game is. And those games would be nice. A new Stat Fox would win it for me!

I think they will hint at something with a teaser, maybe some quick concepts. I wouldn't see it releasing this year unless it was a Paper Mario, Mario Golf or something of that nature. If it's the next galaxy they could tease and plan on a release in 2015.

Mario Galaxy U teaser would be nice! For a Summer 2015 RELEASE!!

Yes, don't Mario  games release anually as of  recently? I don't mind though. They're always good.

Zelda U has been confirmed. Therefore, this E3 will have the biggest hype level since 2011. Tickets to the hypetrain are already  sold out, according to my anonymous sources.

Which leads me  to the point.. ah, sweet rumors.  Can't wait. I'm surprised that  no E3 rumors have popped up yet. This stuff  usually starts out soon.

Aside from Zelda  they'll have Hyrule Warriors, Yoshi Yarn and Smash Bros.  They'll probably have some games only a few people care about and mediocre third party support. But with Zelda, nothing else is necessary.  They could devote an entire  1-hour Direct to  Zelda  if they  wanted. However, the Wii U needs another smash hit. Probably will be  some casual stuff. I also believe they will talk about smartphone stuff I guess. But what they need is Metroid. Be it  3DS or  Wii U, they need Metroid.

But unless Zelda dissapoints (which it  never does) this E3 is  confirmed to be  a  big succes already.

They need more then Zelda shown to win E3. And they really need to win this E3.

Never to early for E3 Talk, that always starts as soon as the previous E3 ends.
