I was planning on changing mine to some anime thing to pretend that's the kind of stuff I usually have as my desktop, but I didn't find one I liked that fit my screen well, so I'll just post the one I already have:

No, their problem was that they decided to make a console that was going to move away from the casual audience towards the "hardcore" audience, but they weren't willing to go far enough with it, so they ended up staying in a middle ground where they alienate both the casual audience and the hardcore audience. The Wii U is a console without a target audience, and moving away from focusing on one gimmick to another won't fix that.

To me Mario Sunshine is the Sonic 06 of Mario games.
What? I liked Sunshine a lot more than Mario 64. The hub world was much more interesting, being full of secrets and stuff to do and the theme of the game was much nicer. Mario 64's visuals always had a washed out and desolate feeling to them, but in Sunshine the environments were full of warm colors and talkative characters, not to mention that levels had small modifications to them depending on the course you picked for the level, which was a nice touch.
The only real complaint I have with the game are the blue coins. I hated those things.

It still blows my mind how many people here, on Wii U forums, don't own a Wii U...
My membership here predates the reveal of the Wii U, if you were wondering. At this point I'm only coming out of habit since a lot of the people from the Wii2Boards period already moved on.

I don't know what happened but I hope you can try to cope another way next time, spend on a couple of things but not that much of your savings. I know it does help you feel better in the short term when you buy new things but saving is important for your future.
Nice pickups though. I've always wanted to play Catherine but I'm more of a PC gamer these days so I wish it would come out on Steam.
Oh, I'm not saying I won't save anymore, I just know I'll end up making small but somewhat frequent withdrawals now that I've taken most of the money out of my savings, so I figured it'd be best on the long term if I just started over.
And really, I didn't spend that much. A PS4 would have been pricier.
And yes, you should play it, it's pretty great. The presentation is top notch, Fatlus pushes the core mechanics of the game to the utmost limit by introducing new gameplay elements at a brisk pace (and despite outright telling you how to pass certain situations, the game still manages to be pretty challenging even on Normal), the music was pretty rad, Fatlus actually managed to push out a good dub for once and the script could use some work here and there and really could benefit from some ramifications depending on your actions, but it's still a pretty enjoyable story and unlike anything else done on vidya before.
I had a lot of fun with it. Puzzle game of the generation, no doubt.

Alright, so I spent like 90% of my savings because of something sad and now I really don't care anymore, so I just spent the remaining 10%.
Got 7 Ghibli movies. Now I can finally start calling it a collection. Howl's Moving Castle, Castle in the Sky, Grave of the Fireflies (T_T), My Neighbor Totoro, Kiki's Delivery Service, Whisper of the Heart and Spirited Away. No images because I don't have a camera and I'm not allowed to post so many images
And 5 vidya:
... and about 11 books. Two by Milan Kundera, one by Chejov (chekhov), one by Mario Vargas Llosa, three Game of Thrones books, a book for studying, one by Joel Dicker, one by Arturo perez-Reverte and one by Julio Cortazar.
And that's it. I'm looking into buying a drawing tablet and a piano now, but those two are going to take a while.

No, but we're discussing which fruit is objectively the superior one, therefore any piece of subjective evidence goes down the drain.
On the other hand, it's an undeniably fact that pineapples do cause some minor damage to the untrained and, dare I say, inferior tongue, so I guess I'll accept it.
Before I proceed with the question, I want to make something clear: I'm revising the ruleset so that now foods and beverages which contain a fruit, and not necessarily made entirely from it, can now be used to argue in favor of said fruit. Which means the score shall be revised:

1. I havent made anything that can be considered a 'personal attack'. I deconstruct arguments. That happening to make people look stupid is not the same thing as me directly attacking them and calling them stupid. Rebutting arguments is not the same thing as a personal attack. Maybe if you didnt identify yourself by your 'side' you wouldnt feel attacked when I deconstruct it, and would be able to ddistinguish a THING from YOURSELF. Taking an opinion SERIOUSLY, is being respectful of it. Thats not the same thing as always agreeing with it, or treating you with kid gloves.
2. The link I gave was completely censored, and I warned people not to look for the real one, and that they didnt need to find it to understand the context. Also, welcome to the real world. Its not pretty, and Im sorry if it inconveniences you to find how nasty gamergate, aka 'AAAAAA indoctrinated gamer culture' gets, or if you didnt want me to show other people whats behind gamergates facade.

It's funny how every time someone disagrees with they way you present your arguments, they're automatically supporters of GamerGate. I don't know anything about GamerGate, and, really, if I had to side with anyone in this thread, I'd side with the anti-GamerGate side. I'm not sure if that's addressed towards me, but just in case, I wasn't aware that GamerGate's mascot (didn't even know they had a logo or that Vivian James was their mascot previous to reading this terrible thread) was a rape meme. I was deeply disappointed when I read of it here, since I actually liked the concept of Vivian James and what TFYC's were doing with her. It's really too bad it ended up being typical 4chan crap.
I'm with everyone else on the sentiment that this thread should be locked.

3. I post observable facts, and then comment on them. If no one else can make a reasonable retort that doesnt get instantly deconstructed by me, and a slew of facts I post, maybe its time they conduct some deep introspection. For example, made up conspiracies that have recently been shown to not work at all whatsoever in a REAL court of law, and ended up with the gamergater recieving restraining orders, dont fly for a reason.
4. If you want to be comforted by group think echo chambers 'protecting you', and you can do and say whatever you want and nobody will hold you accountable, you are clearly in the wrong place.

I don't see any reason for this thread to be locked or removed. Yes, there is an argument going on, but a lengthy conversation as well. Both are good. The whole reason there is a thread here is because Mourn didn't want status updates to be inundated with the subject matter.
The whole fiasco of gamergate is the essence of this very thread. Factual information is buried deep under spam, hate speech, trolling, scare tactics, misinformation and disinformation.
This isn't a good conversation.
The very fact that this thread is a good representative of the essence of the GamerGate debate is proof of that.
