#19585 Savings check! :P

Posted by Epic Kirby on 07 August 2011 - 08:14 AM

There's too many games that I need to get to start saving yet, Kirby Wii, Kirby Mass Attack, Skyward Sword, Xenoblade, The Last Story, Kid icarus, Super Mario, Kingdom Hearts, Heroes of Ruin, Mario Kart. Yeah you get the idea...

#19574 Kirby Wii U

Posted by Epic Kirby on 07 August 2011 - 07:32 AM

You knew this coming. This is probably the game I want to come to the Wii U the most because Kirby + HD is going to equal awesome. ;)

There's a few things that I won't from Kirby Wii U and I've put it in a nice list for you:

- Back to the hardcore: Epic Yarn was nice and all and it really brought something different to the Kirby franchise but in a way I'm glad the next game has gone back to the style that made me love the Kirby series in the first place. So, being able to die, flying and more copy abilities are a must.

- Needs to be longer: One of the main criticisms of Kirby is the goodness just doesn't last long enough so I'm hoping that Kirby Wii U gives us a longer experience

- Meta Knight: I think it would be great to have Meta Knight playable through a lot of Kirby Wii U as he's a really interesting character.

-Platform: I think I'd want it to stay a straight or 2.5 platformer, I'm not sure I'd enjoy Kirby Wii U as a 3D platformer but if it's made really well then who knows.

I don't think we'll be seeing a Kirby game on the Wii U for a bit of time seeing as Kirby Wii isn't out yet, Epic Yarn didn't long come out, then there's Kirby Mass Attack. I'd even bet we'd see one on the 3DS before we actually saw one on the Wii U.

So what would you like to see in Kirby Wii U?

#19440 Battlefield 3 Wii U

Posted by Epic Kirby on 06 August 2011 - 01:22 PM

I think I'm one of the few who prefer Battlefield to CoD so I'm pretty happy that it's coming to the Wii U. Not surprised as EA seem pretty serious about the Wii U at the moment. Hopefully Mass Effect will come as well.

#19213 Monolithsoft anyone?

Posted by Epic Kirby on 05 August 2011 - 08:08 PM

Speaking of monolith soft... If anyone from the North of 'Mericas here wants Xenoblade to come to their shores, then advertise the release of the game to EVERY SINGLE EUROPEAN, JAPANESE and AUSTRALIAN PERSON you know. And many that you don't.

Anyway, I hope this is a launch title! I needz me some good rpgin. Haven't got much in awhile (Though SMT:DS Overclocked will quench me for a bit :P)

There's a big possibility of it being a launch title seeing as they have been preparing for it since 2010. It would be great to have a solid RPG to play but I guess there will be Dragon Quest X if it doesn't make launch.

#19023 Wii U's Rejection.

Posted by Epic Kirby on 05 August 2011 - 02:10 PM

I have the same worries as you, I was pretty picked off that such a great game like Dead or Alive barely made the top ten. Its features and graphics are amazing so it was such a shame. I'm still getting Spotpass challenges to this day. However Ocarina of Time shot straight to the top of the charts... a remake...barely using any features... I'm not saying it's not a great game but Dead or Alive deserved better sales. I don't see how people can complain about Petz and Cooking Mama if they aren't willing to buy third party titles that are done well.

Also, Batman: Arkham City (PS360), Metro: Last Light  (PS360), Darksiders  (PS360). If people can buy these games on their own console what reason do they have to buy the Wii U? The only way is if developers make these games really special by utilizing the Wii U controller in brilliant ways.

#17822 What could Nintendo have done to help the 3DS sell day 1?

Posted by Epic Kirby on 01 August 2011 - 04:27 PM

1) Launch Games - Iwata said they could have done better and they really could have. The launch list should at least have had one major first party title but then I guess Street Fighter wouldn't have sold that well. They way they demoed Kid Icarus at E3 really made me believe that it was their flagship title and that we we're going to see it at launch.

2) Launch Window - What i don't get is why Nintendo are shoving all their great titles into the same period of the year when they could have spread them out. They could have released something this summer before Star Fox comes out.

3) Price - For the price they were charging we should have gotten a lot more. People seemed to really want a Youtube App and messaging system and I don't really think it would've been that hard to implement.

4) Third Party - Better third party support from the start would have helped. I don't see why the two best third party games out right now have to be fighting titles. However, it isn't true when people on the 3ds forums say there isn't third party support because there is Kingdom Hearts: DDD. Heroes of Ruin, Beyond the Labyrinth, RE: Revelations, Fantasy Life, Driver, Tales of the Abyss etc. There should be some more though.

5) Eshop - Prices are way too high, need a lot more 3D classics, need some GameBoy Colour games, my younger cousin laughed in horror when I suggested he play Kirby's Dream Land. This is the graphics generation black and white don't cut it. There's only one 3DSWare game and that came out recently. Nintendo Video needs some more compelling stuff, however Oscar's Oasis has been great.

That's about it lol

#16551 Which GameCube games would U want?

If GameCube games are going to be available for download which ones would you like to come to the service.

#12158 Final Fantasy Wii U

Posted by Epic Kirby on 03 July 2011 - 06:21 PM

Would like to see a new version integrating the Wii U Controller.

It would be good to have the option of viewing the stats, HP, MP etc on the Wii U controller and leave the TV for just the action.

#12149 Origin of your username

Basically it's the name of my website and that name originated for my love of the Kirby series and my belief that they are epic.

#12108 Kid Icarus for Wii U

Posted by Epic Kirby on 03 July 2011 - 04:17 PM

Kid Icarus is actually one of the few 3DS games that I genuiely believe would have been better on a console. Not to mention it would be easier to control. I would love to see a Wii U Kid Icarus.

#8397 Nintendo and Storytelling

Posted by Epic Kirby on 17 June 2011 - 03:36 PM

"Ende and Ceres who live in the Elysium kingdom on the continent known as Graecia. Ceres is chosen to sing at the kingdom's harvest festival, but monsters begin to attack when she goes to perform. Ende later finds her unconscious as the army comes to take her because she witnessed the beast. A merchant named Graiai helps the two escape into a tower. Later, they find out that Ceres has been cursed, and in order to lift it, Ende must use the Orichalcum Chain to obtain the flesh of the beasts that live in the tower."

Pandora's Tower is Nintendo, that looks like it might have an interesting story, I usually play Nintendo games for gameplay rather than for storytelling. Pokemon games have always had good stories, though

#3101 Wii U Camera Ideas Thread

Posted by Epic Kirby on 23 May 2011 - 12:22 PM

One of the newest rumours about the Wii 2 is that the controller is going to have a front facing camera. The images it creates will be able to be used in games. It is quite plausible seeing as the Nintendo 3DS has one.  The only thing that makes it seem less true is that it is shaping up to be a very expensive controller  :D . Anyways back to the ideas.

Mii Maker/Video Game Characters

Firstly, I think it will be able to create Miis the same way that you can on the 3DS by filling in the features but maybe it will be hi-tech enough to create all the Mii from the photo and not just the features.

It would be also interesting if it could take a picture of your face and then create the face of a custom game character, for example in an open world game you could take a picture of yourself and it would create the face of the character fro that picture.

Multi-player Face Raiders

Each player could take a picture of their face and then they have to shoot each other's faces and try not to shoot their own face (on the TV). Obviously they wouldn't be shooting each other's faces in the real world but it could still be fun.

Facial analysing

If the camera could analyse your facial expressions as you play, for example, you know in Golden Sun when they ask you to select an emotion on an event that's happened and the characters respond accordingly (you can choose and angry face, sad face happy face) and the characters will respond by your face expression. For example if you select angry they might be like, "Why are you getting so upset for?" and so on.

So what do you think and do you have any ideas for what the camera could be used for?

#395 Wii U Price Discussion

Posted by Epic Kirby on 06 January 2011 - 03:41 PM

I know we know very little about the Wii 2 so its very hard (and a bit pointless) to guess on price but it's still worth thinking about. Nintendo always tries to give a premium experience at the lowest price possible, but with the talks of the 3DS costing $250 the Wii 2 will probably me more expensive than that.

PS3 and 360 are still way more expensive than Wii, and the PSP is still more expensive than. But they offer other things. In a world of economic crashes, cuts, deficits, national debts people might decide to fit everything they need into one system. For example, the PS3 offers the motion controlling of the Wii, the graphics of the 360 and a Blu Ray player. This negates the need to buy a Blu Ray player separately, a Wii and 360. Saving on costs.

There was another good discussion on the forums about whether the Wii 2 will be Blu Ray compatible. I hope so because I don't think Nintendo can justify a high price on the notion of great gameplay and games alone.

So?

-Do you think the Wii 2 will be expensive?
-Is there any price you would not go over?
-Do Nintendo's next consoles have to be more media friendly to justify prices?
