Ha! Just happened to stumble upon this in one of the blogs.
It is a movie about a villain who's tired of being the bad guy and wants to try being a good guy for a change.

#83161 Why I'm Leaving thewiiu.com Permanently.

Posted by ShadowVector on 02 June 2012 - 08:56 PM

Well, I'm technically still a newbie here. I've seen some disagreements and few arguments now and again but no bashing. Maybe that's because I haven't explored the entire site. Maybe I shouldn't? But hey, look on the bright side! At least we're not IGN Forums.

#82656 Developer: “We Won’t Be Working On Wii U Due To Its Complexities”

Posted by ShadowVector on 01 June 2012 - 07:59 PM

Give me a frikin break. I wonder why these "developers" are "anonymous"?
Dem Nintendo haters...

Exactly. Confirmed developers praise Wii U while anonymous developers hate it. I think these anonymous developers are really first-party Microsoft/Sony developers. -_-

I've completed yet another T-shirt design! This one was for a design challenge and my artwork is all about chillin while listening to your favorite music. The arms of the hoodie are designed like piano keys and the sneakers are design after a computer mouse since that is what I used to draw this. :D Because it's for a T-shirt, I was limited to using only 5 solid colors.

This is my first design created entirely in Inkscape (vector graphics). Clicking on the image brings you to my deviantART account where you can download the high-res version of this artwork.

The theme of this design challenge was "art inspired by music", and I think that this song, one of my favorites from Ragnarok Online, is the perfect fit for anything chillin:

Jigglypuff shows no mercy! I've feared Jigglypuff ever since Smash Bros. Brawl. :o

#75257 UPDATED Rayman Legends WiiU LEAKED TRAILER

Posted by ShadowVector on 27 April 2012 - 04:12 AM

It's also the old design. I think it's just the dev kit, really.

Also in regaurds to the placement of objects on the controller,

I actually think this might be confirmation of the feature I heard rumours about. The name of the technology escapes me at the moment but it's pretty much something they use like an eftpos touch scanner (or like the machines on public transport). So this would essentially be in-built in to the controller and let you purchase things on Nintendos online store without entering your details, but if it's true you could use it for game related activities as well, it seems.

You mean NFC (Near Field Communication).

#74945 Epic Making Metroid

Posted by ShadowVector on 26 April 2012 - 07:15 AM

I hope not to see this happen for another couple of years. Why? Unreal Engine 4!...if it even runs on Wii U. Nuff said. :D

NO! That's bad news! That would be absolute horrible!
Metroid is about exploring and figuring out puzzles to get from point A to point B, and not a mindless shooter, because Epic Games only produces mindless shooters!

Yes, but they will be under Nintendo's guidance. The main reason people are so excited about this possibility is strictly visuals. So hopefully, if this is true, we could get a well balanced combination of Epic's graphical style and presentation with Nintendo's well thought out storyline and controls. :)

#74918 Wii U Needs To Sell For $350 just to break even

Posted by ShadowVector on 26 April 2012 - 04:38 AM

The moment I read the part about how they think Mario needs to go to other platforms is the moment that I knew this was total garbage! :P

Also, I remember reading somewhere about Nintendo's "financial woes" and how it is not as big a deal as some are reporting it to be. Aside from the hiccup of the 3DS launch and less-then-expected Wii sales, it's also important to consider that they are investing quite heavily in Wii U development and games, completely revamping their online network, closing deals with major media companies to gain more content on their system, hiring high profile developers, etc. and this all cost money. But I really don't think that they'll have to sell Wii U at a high price point just to recoup lost money from the past months. In fact, they are already recuperating a bit and may soon start selling 3DS at a profit. And then there is their huge money reserves.

As I stated earlier in a different thread, I strongly believe that Nintendo is going to sell Wii U for $319.99 USD. Selling it for something like $329.99 seems a bit too close to the $350 mark and might turn some consumers away, at least during the launch. Selling it for $299.99 might sound good to the consumers but I don't think that Nintendo is willing to take that much of a lose.

I've found several more awesome Sonic pics on deviantART. Hows about if a Wii U Sonic game looked like this:

#74351 Mario Kart Wii U DLC

Posted by ShadowVector on 24 April 2012 - 02:22 AM

DLC is a no-brainer for me. As long as Nintendo makes it worth the money, or free. :)

I'd like to see them add more battle modes over time. Something that goes beyond balloons and coins. Something with a bit more strategy and makes use of the controller in an interesting way.

#72337 Nintendo Renaming Wii U to Wii Entertainment System Was Fake

It wasn't a very believable rumor to start with. :P
