#93320 Wii U CPU confirmed (by respected game producer) As weak.

Posted by Dragon on 14 July 2012 - 04:57 AM

I think if you keep your expectations of the wii u at about 1-2x current levels you won't go far wrong but if you start thinking its going to compare well with the next xbox and playstation I think you are heading for a big disappointment.

So you're saying that the PS4 and 720 will be a huge jump like everyone is expecting? This sounds like hypocrisy at it's best. "Don't expect Nintendo to make a huge jump, but expect Microsoft and Sony to do it."

The leaked documents of the "720" show a $299 price point for a Holiday 2013 release bundled with Kinect 2.0. There's not much room for extra power if they want to keep that $299 price point.

#93306 Rockstar Games teases Red Dead 3 Announcement

i love red dead too :) what is red dead revolver? i never heard of it, i will check it out

Red Dead Revolver is the first Red Dead game. It didn't get near as popular. I suppose if you grew up liking Grand Theft Auto games from the GTA III era, you might like Revolver.

I think this pretty much confirms Nintendo isn't skimping out with power this time.

#76429 Will the Wii U have "cross game-chat"?

Posted by Dragon on 01 May 2012 - 02:20 PM

It likely will. Nintendo will need this feature to attract the social gamers.

#75451 Sega:Wii U is more powerful than current consoles.

Wasn't it also reported this game will have a deferred  lighting engine on ps3, 360 and PC but not wii U. Also the wii U has more memory for a start this is a serious advantage it has. Still seems very likely to me the wii u gpu will not be cutting edge, although it may be caused by having to create visuals for both the controller and the main screen.

Is there any chance we can have some normal debate about specifications rather than some idiot posting rubbish about trolls. There has been enough leaks, reports about the wii U being similar performance to 360/PS3 to be a valid position to take.

It won't be that long before we get an idea of the final specification of wii U by seeing what its capable of to see whose guesses were right or wrong.

Don't you freaking call me an idiot. I was talking about the trolls who think Nintendo will always be completely behind because they think Nintendo is strictly for kiddies and old people.

#74584 Crysis 3 not coming to Wii U:(

Posted by Dragon on 24 April 2012 - 07:07 PM

He means it will be able to play the latests version of Cry Engine at 720p, the 360/PS3 can not support the latest version at 720p, I don't even know if they can support the latest version of 360/PS3 at all.

Good point. But I still think the Wii U has more power than people think it has. CryEngine 3 might be able to do 1080p 40fps.

There. Cheer up. Confirmed by both wsippel and IdeaMan. Crysis 3 can run on Wii U at 720p, if it misses out on Wii U it's not a hardware issue. It's an NDA issue where Crytek can't say anything until E3. Why do you think we haven't heard about anything Wii U wise from the big companies like EA or Ubisoft? (Killer Freaks updates have not happened since being revealed last E3)

Yeah I mean that it will probably run it at 2xAA and 720p with lower textures and a lower fps. Still awesome, but laughable compared to the PC version that will have high resolution textures, AF, 8xAA, 60fps, and true 1080p.

That makes no sense. The Wii U wouldn't stay at 720p and a low FPS like the previous gen. It should at least be able to do 1080p, 4xAA, and 40fps.

#73210 What do you want from the Wii U Graphically?

Posted by Dragon on 19 April 2012 - 02:02 PM

I hope for these to be true:

True 1080p
60FPS
4xAA
High-res textures

Money isn't a problem. At least for me. I will be willing to blow $600 on the Wii U.
