#49237 My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic

Posted by Lady Rarity Pony on 26 December 2011 - 12:59 PM

Wow, I need to type something about the brony community. I want to share what I think but it's gonna take a while to type up.
For now I'll just say it's a great community with many different kinds of people from all around the world. Plenty of true friendships just waiting to be made.

#49134 For Everyone

Posted by Brian6330 on 25 December 2011 - 07:10 AM

Hey guys, this here is a gift to all of you guys. (First thought of doing a poem for N, but then I changed my mind and thought of this)
It's a poem/speech.

Hope you enjoy:

Here we are again,
you, me and everyone else.

We come to read,
have fun
by doing a pun
and be a clan,
a family,
a...
community in unity.

I'm writing this from my heart,
even if I can only express a part.

To me,
you guys
are like brothers
and sisters.

Close to each other,
but yet still so far...

What I'm trying to say is that a forum is a personal experience for me. I feel like I'm part of something, like a family.

I just wanted to express that to you guys, so I thought I'd make a small little poem/speech-even though I can't say all that's in my mind and in my heart.

Thank you for reading

#48100 What do you think of the FPS genre?

CoD FTW!!!!
Just kidding, their formula is getting old.
I'm actually starting to get tired of shooting games. :/

I would like to thank Brian for quoting Waller, because if he hadn't I would have never noticed the white text. :P

#38939 R.I.P. Mr Brian :'(

Man, you had me worried for a second there. I thought we lost one of our best members.

Oh, and my condolences.

I at first thought I died too, but I saw that I still had phone reception, so I didn't die.

Man, sad that a teacher like that had to die. Good teachers that you get along with is like finding a needle in a hay-stack... (Depending on where you are and what kind of school you go.)

#37040 An idea for a shooter/RTS game for the Wii U

Someone's been watching Disney movies.

Yeah, because Pirates never really fought against the Navy and the East India Trading Company in real life, did they? :P

#36288 An idea for a shooter/RTS game for the Wii U

Posted by Mad Man on 14 October 2011 - 11:56 AM

I've had this idea for a while, actually. It's a bit different to the normal shooters out on the market, where you've got you're guns and you're out on the battle field, just shooting people willy nilly. A large portion of this game would be spent out at sea. The idea behind the game is Pirates vs the East India Trading Company/Royal Navy. The character should be fully customizable (On what else should you spend your stolen money? Except for more weapons that is - and bigger ships.)
The basic concept is that you become a pirate, and you have to find a crew to join (I'm thinking that perhaps the game logs into your system's clock, and depending on what day of the year it is there would be different crews to join, sometime none at all). At first it's unlikely that you'd start with more than a small schooner, but you can sail around to find ships to plunder and potentially steal. With this money you can go out and buy guns, swords and clothing, or if you have enough, ships.
This game should probably have some fantasy elements, such as the Kraken, the Flying Dutchman, ect. if only to keep it interesting after a while. By the time you encounter these "bosses" you should have a big fleet of ships. This should take most of the attention off the main character for a while, and bring in a more RTS style theme to the game, where you use the touch screen to take control of your fleet from a birds eye view, trying to tackle the enemy, or flee as the case may be.
Later on in the game you may possibly be caught by the Navy. I'm not sure if I want to introduce a sort of 'Game over' scene where you get hanged, but I'm definitely open for your crew to be caught and be hanged. Perhaps you'll be asked to become a privateer, and you'll be given the choice to work for the Navy. This would not be a bad choice, especially if you get a bigger ship, a bigger crew, and a bigger amount of loot.
And how about online? Perhaps you and your friends could come together and fight along side each other, or fight against each other, battling over the treasure.

#35583 Boss encounters you had trouble with.

Posted by Brian6330 on 09 October 2011 - 06:53 AM

I'm currently stuck with one of the bosses on Ocarina of Time. I think he's called Bongo Bongo. The annoying thing is that unlike in other dungeons, it takes a while to get back to the boss room in the Shadow Temple. To be honest, I've been stuck for a while with most of the bosses in that game so far. :(

Get the ice arrows before you fight him. To get them you have to beat the temple in the dessert and then beat the Gerudo Training Ground.

Trust me, it's worth it. (Couldn't beat him without it on my 3Heart run of Master Quest...)

Does anyone know why episode three has been delayed for another two weeks? I don't think I can wait that long until the next episode. :(

Apparently
Spoiler

#33715 hi there

Lord N is your brother?! Why did he introduce to you that way, then?

Anyway, welcome to the forum! I'm Waller, but everyone calls me weird. I see that you have already seen the rules, so I won't link you to them. If you have any technical problems with the site, you should contact either Feld0 (Currently going by the name Twilight Sparkle), or AMAC.

You'll have a great time here, and I hope to see you around!

Lol, you fail to notice that Auzzie made you a question.

I had forgotten that tiny little fact :P

#33651 Sony has annoyed me yet again.

But it's not got any groundbreaking new technology.

To be fair, cramming a quad-core processor with comparable performance to the PS3's Cell processor into a slim little device is quite an achievement. I find it hard not to call that, at the very least, groundbreaking.

To be fair, that was quite a reasonable article for Jack Tretton's standards. For once he hasn't actually criticised any Nintendo or Microsoft products. The PSP did do quite a lot to change handheld gaming; It was the first handheld that could do realistic graphics and they were hardly going to mention that the DS outsold it in that article. The PS Vita is also pretty ground-breaking, in the sense that it is a handheld that can reproduce a console experience, The multi touch pad could also turn out to be a great innovation.

Wonderfully said, AMAC. But I would like to add that the 3DS is just as capable of reproducing a console experience. The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D is the perfect example of that, though Super Street Fighter IV and Dead or Alive: Dimensions are brilliant titles, too. All three of them deliver a very meaty "full console experience", in my mind.

All is going according to plan. You're going to build up your taskforce and when it's at its peak, we're going to fire the Orbital Friendship Cannon and destroy you all in one blow.

#32907 Ban the last poster!

Banned cause now I know how the Jedi order(or what remained of it) felt after the events of episode III. One of their greatest friends betraying them, and then all but destroying them. Well Bronies, I have one thing to say, and one thing only..... There will come an episode VI! It may not be anytime soon, but it. will. come.
