In my opinion, there were three main problems with the 3DS at launch.

1) The launch line-up wasn't good. There launch titles seemed to range from poor to decent. There weren't any great games that people would have bought the system for. If Ocarina of Time had been a launch title, or if there was another big Mario/Zelda/Pokemon game, I'm sure a lot more people would have bought a 3DS at launch.

2) The price was too high in my opinion (Up to £220 in Britain). A lot of people would rather buy a DSi with several games than spend over £200 on a 3DS. Especially when the DSi has lots of great games, whereas the 3DS had a poor launch line up.

3) Nintendo focused on the 3D too much. Many people thought that the 3DS was simply a DS with a 3D screen. Most people would be unlikely to upgrade their DS simply to view games in 3D. I think that Nintendo should have made a bigger deal about the console's other features, such as the motion controls and the hugely improved graphics.

So far, the 3DS hasn't been doing particularly well, but I don't think it's doing badly either. I think that it was always going to take time for everyone to understand that it's a brand new console, rather than just a DS with 3D. I don't know whether it'll beat Vita, but with some big games coming out before the end of the year, I think that things will soon pick up for Nintendo.

Wow, that's a lot of free games! I really hope that we get this, or a similar offer, in Europe sometime soon.

Edit: I checked on the Nintendo UK website and it has this article. It looks as if Europe will be getting this too!

Do you mean for statuses? There's unlikely to ever be a dislike button, for the same reason that negative reputation can't be given. A dislike button, would most likely just cause problems between members, with some people being offended if they received dislikes.

There isn't a delete button. If members were allowed to delete their posts, it could disrupt the flow of conversations. If you have a reason why one of your posts should be deleted, you should inform the moderating team and we'll decide whether to delete the post.

I'd love to see a big first party title at the Wii U's launch, but if there are enough quality 3rd party titles then I wouldn't be too upset. As long as there are some quality launch titles I'll be happy, regardless of who's developed them.

Guides will not be Yoshis. Don't take it the wrong way, but we can only trust so many users not to run amok eating each other.

Guides will be Navi.

Navi would be a good rank for guides, although it wouldn't fit in with every other rank being a character from the Mushroom Kingdom.

I love the art style of Ocarina of Time, and I think it looks great. From what I've seen, the Wind Waker art style is also very nice.

The main character I want to see in Super Smash Bros is Yoshi. It's pretty much a given that he'll appear though, so I'll list some other characters I want to see.

That's a very conservative estimate AMAC   ,  I wouldn't be surprised if it was over £300.

And no I wouldn't buy it yet due to lack of funds, it's hard enough even getting the 3DS games I want.

Neither would I, but for now, I'm going to be optimistic about the price. If it's more than £300 I could be waiting until 2013.

I can't wait for Super Mario to make its way onto the Wii U. I'd love to see it as a Wii U launch title, but it sounds like it'll be sometime before this game is ready to be released.

You won't be surprised to hear that I want a Yoshi game on the Wii U. It's about time he and his dinosaur friends had their own game on a console, rather than a handheld.

Playing with friends is fun, but I normally play by myself on the Wii. Either way is good.
