#307192 New Xenoblade X Trailer discussion

Posted by uPadWatcher2 on 19 January 2015 - 12:50 PM

Monolith Soft has confirmed via Twitter that a localization of Xenoblade Chronicles X is well underway!

"This is a sudden introduction, but nice to meet you. My name is Kawabata and I work as Xenoblade X’s producer. From now on, Monolith staff other than Takahashi will be using this account to send out Tweets to you all, with me taking the lead.

Counting, it’s been about 5 years since Xenoblade’s release meaning you’ve all been waiting for a long time, but, speaking honestly, it feels like a long time even for those of us working here. On top of that, we’re also well underway with localization work, too.

However, I believe we have created something that you will feel was well worth the wait, so I hope you can remain patient for the game’s release a little while longer."

Ok in doing some research  I found a couple things I have a theory on. Granted it could be background that means nothing or something unlrelated but for the sake of argument I have a couple ideas I will post.

This thing can possibly match up with a few items from XB I will post 07jHyAG.jpg
rVJg3Ak.jpgCould be this gate. That small door alone if a few hundred feet tall and the outer part extends past the screen aways. So that is one but there is more
TKTUylM.jpgmaybe the big central part of the mechonis sword minus galahad fortress
9zPuQug.jpg could be just a massive gear from anywhere off mechonis itself.
WVxL00p.jpglast one I feel is a out there idea but throwing it out anyway. One of the colonies. Even colony 6 or 9 what's left turned on it's side for whatever reason
Could be a crashed city from one of the ships that did not make it in story of XCX so that's what I think are some possibilities

#306164 I Traded Wii U, 2ds, and games for PS Vita and games

Posted by Raiden on 29 December 2014 - 09:43 AM

Get Dragon's Crown and Ys Memories of Celceta. Best games on the system. If anyone says otherwise they are wrong. No it's a science fact those are the best games Vita has.

If you want a Monster Hunter like game there is Ragnorok Odessey. Want something like the Souls games there is Soul Sacrifice.

TouiKoden Age of Demons is Monster Hunter ish as well just gritty and demons.

#305897 Vote for Zelda Wii U and win it

Posted by Raiden on 23 December 2014 - 02:45 PM

Jesus...i don't even get where all this witcher hype is coming from when you heard almost NOTHING about the first two.

First 2 games are pretty darn good. CD Projekt unlike a lot of western devs is very careful and put a lot of effort in.  Games are based on books I believe and the 3rd game is the final in the series per developers choice as they don't want to be making games without reason in the series. So mad respect for that.

Also lets them work on Cyberpunk.

#304894 Father of Video Games passes away.

Posted by Raiden on 08 December 2014 - 05:14 PM

Legendary video game pioneer Ralph Baer has passed away at age 92.  Ralph Baer is widely regarded as "The Father of Video Games" for his many contributions to the video game industry.

baerstory.jpg

In the 1960s, Baer envisioned being able to play games on television screens.  By 1968, he had developed a working prototype he called "The Brown Box", which would go on to become the world's first home video game console, The Magnavox Odyssey.

In 2006, Baer was awarded the National Medal of Technology by President George W. Bush for his work that helped shape what the video game industry has become today.

A renowned inventor and engineer, Baer was the holder of over 150 patents over his lifespan.

This man is the reason we have consoles to begin with. RIP True Legend

#304651 Zelda U Gameplay from Game Awards

Nintendo already stated they would creat ZeldaU with exploration adventurisk theme like in Zelda for NES.

It's a huge world yes. And I just hope the opposite of you. I don't hope they fill it up completely. Having blanc spaces actually makes sure the explorer feels rewarded when actually finding something. I think it is needed

#304624 New Upcoming Wii U Indie Title: The Deer God

Posted by Mitch on 05 December 2014 - 11:24 PM

The Deer God is an absolutely gorgeous 3D pixel art adventure platforming game that has recently had its goal reached on kickstarter to come to the Wii U and has just been released on Steam.

photo-main.jpg?1406152818

The game focuses on the spiritual journey and self discovery of a hunter who shoots and kills a deal while simultaneously being attacked by wolves, you are then transported to the Deer God who allows you to reincarnate as a baby deer and look at life from another point of view. You traverse a gorgeous pixelized landscape abundant with various terrains and an incredibly beautiful level of visual depth. The game plays out as a game of exploration and discovery, at no point does this game choose to hold your hand and walk you through what to do, much like the overall message of self-discovery the gameplay mechanics itself also focus on self-discovery. You must determine when to run and when to fight, how to use the environment to the best of your advantage when you're in a tight pinch, this game is by no means a typical adventure platformer where you run and attack enemies head on, being a deer you may not desire to attack with brute force unless you have yourself backed into a corner.

Gameplay of The Deer God on Steam:

The Deer God is truly a unique experience that combines the tranquility and relaxation of a soul searching journey paired with the ever increasing difficulty level as the game progresses and I cannot wait to get my hands on the Wii U version!

#304384 Xenoblade Chronicles X to Have a Deep Sci-Fi Story

Posted by NintendoReport on 05 December 2014 - 03:24 AM

The Dolls’ height is about five times that of an adult, making them around 9-10 metres high. This was calculated as the best human-to-robot ratio when taking fights or field exploration with both Dolls and humans present into consideration. If the Dolls were bigger than that, the map would also need to be bigger, so we decided upon this size not due to budget constraints, but because it would lead to much slower exploration in human form.

15 years have passed since Monolith was founded, and I believe that with this game I have finally met the challenge I had within me, of creating an RPG in which humans and robots can co-exist.

one thing i do not think anyone picked up on yet. Miyamoto said earlier he saw apples in that area before and he said yeah you can eat them also. more importantly i think we may have a change of seasons mechanic in this game a REAL living breathing world.
