I think no one saw a Kid Icarus WiiU game coming, but it would make sense....

it won't make any difference now, the damage has been done, i had Rayman on order after i enjoyed playing the demo, but even if it was released this month i still would not buy it.
There are a lot of "Ubisoft-can-not-restore-this-I-will-never-buy-rayman-again" voices on the web. I believe that we should stick behind the "petitions", "voice-of-the-fans" and the outcry of "Ancel and his devs". The only way to do that is actually buy the damn game if it is released in Februari. Not doing that will be childisch and will not only destroy our outcries in the future but will destroy the freedom of Ancel and his devs. Giving those stupid marketeers the "see, we told you so".
So f these actions turn into results and the game gets released in feb. Forget your pride and just buy this piece of history.

#170081 Why Nintendo should be important to Sony and MS

I believe that a lot of parents buy Nintendo related products for their kids. The software and identity are much less scary for parents to buy for their younger children. I for one would not buy a 360 or PS3 solely for the kids. So in fact, it's because of Nintendo that children grow up with games and are hungry for something new when they are a bit older. Other than that, Nintendo is the key innovator whose efforts freshen up the gameindustry time after time. Fourpointcontrol, thumbstick, rumble, dualtouchscreen, motioncontrol. I think that without the big N things would become stale very quick.

Oh sure, this is not my life, its my hobby, and I am really into it now. Maybe if there was nothing troublesome going on, there was not so much to feel connected too. So lets all enjoy this ride!

Back on topic. Poor devs, I really feel sorry for them. Only losers because of this Marketing decision. The DEVS, Nintendo, The WiiU gamers, and Ubi themselves. Raymans would have sold really well because there is NOTHING else to buy between now to end March. By posponing it to September they automatically sell less.
I dare to question if the combined Xbox360, PS3 and WiiU sales in September would equal the sales of a solo WiiU release in Februari.
UNLESS: Rayman is targeted for Next gen consoles ps4 and Nexbox...then it will be a launch game..and sell loads!

#168628 Repositioning the WiiU

Do I enjoy the minigames and the possibilities shown by Nintendoland....Yes I do. But even Miyamoto said that for instance Pikmin3 will be mostly about HD and not so much about the second screen.
There is however 1 big selling point that is almost NOT mentioned but I think it would be very easy to market it .
The Off TV screen play on the Wii Gamepad. Only imagine the commercials about this. Bored husbands watching As the World Turns, Bored children watching boring tvshows...and last but not least, bored wifes watching sports tv. It's so easy coming up with more interesting commercials too.
I really like the fact that I can keep on gaming on the pad, watch and react on miiverse...and go online.
They did reposition the 3DS, not anymore is the 3D effect the focus point. The should do it to WiiU too. Reposition it, forget Asynchronious play and promote the other superb functions as mentioned above!

#166163 Mario VS Sonic ... again
Posted by Lupaie
on 03 February 2013 - 03:06 AM
Just a little bit more than 20 years me and my brothers and friends always argued about who was better. Sonic or Mario, and aside from the logic things like speed, acrobacy, attack the fight mostly evolved into a systembattle between Nes/Snes and Megadrive/Mastersystem.
Today I was cleaning the kitching while my kids were playing in the studio. All of a sudden i overheard the youngest(4) saying "no, Mario!" then countered by the oldest(6), "don't be silly, it must be Sonic"....but then, when I went into the studio the two set up the xbox360 with Sonic Gens, and the WiiU with NSMBWiiU, and were actually comparing screens while racing towards the end of the levels. Mario won...of course. Because he's better
