Yup! There was an update not too long ago that allowed this... It's a little confusing to do, but it's pretty simple once you figure it out. Just go to your Wii U's system settings, go over to the TV settings, then tap on "TV Audio-Output Type". Then, if you've got the latest firmware update, there should be a little button in the upper-right corner of the screen that says "Output-Cable Setting". Tap on that, and then just choose "Non-HDMI" or "Both", depending on what you want. Nintendo could certainly make it a little more clear as to how to do this, but
whatever. :P Hope this helped! :)

Thanks for that tidbit of info! My settings must be set to output both. I will definitely change it later. Many companies wouldn't even bother updating for this feature, so I gotta give kudos to Nintendo for the update!

I think i'm all finally set for a Mario Kart 8 marathon! I specifically bought this console on day one for this game, so this is a very big deal for me. Not to mention, the audio tracks that they have composed are really outstanding, and definitely a game that deserves to be played with good quality audio equipment!

#198088 Favorite RPGs of all time

I think my favorite are probably the following:

1. Chrono Trigger

2. Final Fantasy VII

3. Super Mario RPG

4. Earthbound

5. Final Fantasy IX

All of these games have some great memories around them, and to me, these are also my greatest games of all time! Unfortunately I don't own any original copies anymore *boo*.

I'm really pumped for Earthbound to be re-released on the virtual console! woo!

#110107 twenty-something and wayyy too spunky for the Wii U

Greetings my fellow gamers and Wii U fanatics!
Like many of you guys and gals, I've come here because of my fascination and desire to own the Wii U. Luckily, this month, I had some extra cash and was able to pre-order and pay off a deluxe reservation, five minutes after a local chain began taking preorders!

Lets see, I'm twenty-*cough*cough-six and a long time gamer. I'm fortunate enough to have had plenty of exposure to the golden era of gaming, Heck, I remember the day I went out to a Kay*Bee Toys with my mom and purchased one of the several sealed copies of Mega Man 6 for the Nintendo NES! Flash-forward to my early adolescence, I was also there for for the Nintendo 64, mainly buying games from Toys R' Us (when they still had tickets and a merch. center, mind you.). After the N64, my interests in video games waned and I sold most of my gaming stuff on ebay.

These days, I'm working full-time and saving up for my bachelor's degree, but I still find time to fit in a game or two of Mario Kart on the Wii. I would be a lying man if I said I didn't buy this system just for the prospect of playing the latest and greatest Mario Kart sometime in the future. :)
