#312989 Gorgeous New Footage of 90’s Arcade Racer for Wii U

Posted by NintendoReport on 13 May 2015 - 04:42 PM

http://nintendoenthu...acer-for-wii-u/

90’s Arcade Racer brings back the days of arcade racing games such as Daytona USA, and reminds you of just how many quarters and hours of life you wasted at those arcades. With a clean and polished visual style, 90’s Arcade Racer could end up being one of the most visually pleasing games on the Wii U eShop to date. If the racing is as well crafted as the visuals, Wii U owners should be in for a real treat when 90’s Arcade Racer comes to the console.

Some gorgeous new footage of 90’s Arcade Racer running on Wii U hardware has popped up on YouTube

#291694 So hypathetically Nintendo allows 900MB more RAM and overclocks the GPU by 70MHZ

Posted by cadrethree on 27 June 2014 - 07:47 AM

Nintendo might have a better shot to up it's visuals with killer software design tools.  It's sounds like most HD twins developers don't want to take the time to make their game engines run with the GPU instead of the CPU's like last generation.  All Nintendo can do is has the best game design tools that anyone has ever had so the developers don't have to think or struggle to port a game over from the HD twins.

#311171 Last day to redeem coins on Club Nintendo.....

Posted by Rockodoodle on 30 March 2015 - 07:05 PM

I was able to register a few old games for 150 coins.  Picked up Paper Mario, Xevious, NSMB2, Pilot Wings, Super Mario Land, Ketzal's Corridors, Dillon's Rolling Western, Harmoknight.....  Deciding between Gameboy Donkey Kong and Kersploosh.

Glad they finally started offering some decent stuff.  Got very disappointing to see what they were offering month to month.  Finally became worthwhile, but it was such a pain in the butt. Decided to go with games b/c the physical rewards were things that looked like to me that they would end up becoming clutter and eventually tossed anyway.

#311028 Iwata Asks: Xenoblade 3D !

Interview has the following sections:

  • We want to make a JRPG masterpiece
  • The moon rock heartbreak
  • Burning bridges
  • Just do it
  • It would be a shame to pass it up
  •

Today I will be asking about Xenoblade Chronicles 3D, which will be exclusively playable on the New Nintendo 3DS XL system. In the case of common RPGs, it's not unusual for them to sell like hot cakes right after release, only for sales to decline soon after. However, when the original to this game, Xenoblade Chronicles1 for Wii was released five years ago in Japan, and because of the way the game was designed with an impressive attention to detail, word of mouth started to spread. Now Xenoblade Chronicles 3D is coming to the New Nintendo 3DS XL system. So we'd like to ask Monolith Soft's2Takahashi-san just what type of game Xenoblade Chronicles is. Thanks for talking with us today, Takahashi-san.

Please read at above link, great interview!!

    This is great!

    Iwata
People said things like "I could stay in that world forever," or "I don't want it to end," even though they'd been playing for over 100 hours.

    4. Played for over 100 hours: The time counter for the Wii version of Xenoblade Chronicles was set to stop at 99 hours and 59 minutes, but the version for the New Nintendo 3DS XL can support a time display past 100 hours. (Up to 999 hours and 59 minutes.)The upcoming game Xenoblade Chronicles X can support a time display of over 300 hours of play. See the Japanese official Twitter @XenobladeJP for details.

#310939 Yoshi's Woolly World Release Date? (Europe)

    http://wiiudaily.com...n-leaked-rumor/

Uh oh. Looks like we’ve had a minor slip of release dates in Europe, as someone has uploaded a set of release dates for various upcoming games to Nintendo Europe’s servers. According to the list that was uploaded, Europe will be getting Splatoon on May 29, while Yoshi’s Woolly World is listed as a June 26 title.

It should be noted that no official confirmation has been given for these dates, but they did appear on the official European press site before quickly being changed to be more generic. Splatoon is currently back listed as a May 2015 title instead of a specific date.

#308721 What Wii U Game Of 2015 Are You Most Looking Forward To?

Posted by Raiden on 11 February 2015 - 05:21 PM

Well think about this. The game was announced in what 2009? Relics Engine and then that company went out of business. Then THQ takes over publishing rights and it has to switch engines again to Darksiders II engine. THQ goes out of business and this game was being made for PS3 and 360. Bayonetta 2 was a game cancelled in development. Nintendo swoops in gets the project going again. Devils Third is similar. It has since switched to Unreal 3 engine. He has said the game has improved a good deal since the E3 build. besides the E3 build actually looked fine but people like XCX faces pick something beat a dead horse and everyone goes with the herd.

Don't expect it to blow minds visually but look good enough and just be a good b rate action game. I don't mean B rate as a bad thing as Pretty much all PG games have the same vibe and they are amazing.  I suspect we won't have to wait too much longer for more info.

#307942 EDM Production and Appreciation thread!

Posted by MatrixChicken on 01 February 2015 - 05:44 PM

Well, hot buttah'd popcorn, I've written this post a few times already and accidentally deleted it every time. ;_; So I'll make this quick! Welcome to the Wii U Forums EDM (Electronic Dance Music) production and appreciation thread! This thread will serve two purposes: for the producers of the forums to showcase and discuss their work, and for the EDM lovers to share their favorite songs.

Let's establish just a couple rules: This thread is meant to lean more on the producers' side, so try not to flood the thread with others' music. Only post your absolute favorite songs. This should keep the thread tidy, and won't deter those who just want to come have a taste of EDM. Label songs as vocal if they have lyrics, and try to keep said lyrics clean. If you absolutely must post a song with inappropriate lyrics, make sure you label it accordingly. Now, let's get started!

If you're an EDM producer, post a link to your Soundcloud, YouTube, or what have you, and I'll add it to this post!

    Producer list:

    ScootriX (MatrixChicken) - Soundcloud

    Hinkik - Soundcloud

    Double Tap (Chaos) - Soundcloud
