Super Smash Bros. Brawl Tournament: Sign Up Here!

15 June 2011 - 11:44 AM

I'm organizing an SSBB tournament, since we're doing the same over at 3DS Buzz. The limit is most likely going to be 8 people, but it might change depending on how much people join. I might change the limit to 16 people if it's popular enough, but until then, it's going to be 8. Here's the layout for the matches, with the winner of each match italicized when applicable:

Game 1

Set I:

Someone (me) vs. Boba2007 (x3)
Date: June 18, 2011

SuperEnigmation vs. Siemen (possibly) (x3)
Date: ???

Marina (possibly) vs. 0003mg (x3)

Deboog vs. ??? (x3)

Set II

Set III (Semi-Finals)

Game 2

Set II (Semi-Finals)

??? vs. ??? (x3)

The Finals

??? vs. ??? (x3)
Date: ???

Rules, Regulations, and Details:

•Game 1 is the main game where the person who loses a match goes to Game 2 and the winner proceeds to the next set, and Game 2 is the equivalent of a consolation bracket; the person who loses in Game 1 goes to Game 2. If you lose from Game 2, you're permanently out, but if you become the champion of Game 2, you face the person that won the finals in Game 1, and whoever wins that game is the champion!

•There are no items.

•The mode is Stock with three lives.

Absolutely no cheating. Cheating will not be tolerated and will result in the removal of the cheater. Cheating is considered using a device to alter the code of the game, causing unusual and unfair effects. Cheating devices include, but are not limited to, R4, Ocarina, and Gecko.

•Stages will be chosen at random. There will be no large stages or stages that have major gimmicks.

•To keep matches short, they will be timed. The time limit is seven minutes.

•For each round, there will be three matches. The winner is the one with two out of three wins.

•Ties are broken by Sudden Death.

•The stages are Battlefield, Yoshi's Island, Smashville, Final Destination, Delfino Plaza, Luigi's Mansion, Lylat Cruise, Skyworld, Shadow Moses Island, and Yoshi's Island.

If I forgot anything, or if you have any suggestions, please let me know!

I Won't Forget to Post an Introduction This Time. . . .

03 June 2011 - 02:40 PM

Hi everyone! I am Someone, and I'm originally from the 3DS Buzz forums, which Feld0 is from, too. I'm a moderator there, so I may not be on here as often as people who are only here, but I'll still be on. I admire Feld0 for not only being able to manage five or six sites, but for also getting As in school while doing so! I didn't join the 3DS Forums because it would be harder to comment regularly on three sites (I knew I would eventually be joining here), so I don't know anyone that's originally from there. I hope I can help, though, so I'll be posting any information I find (if Feld0 doesn't already post it on his blog)! I don't really know what else to say, since I've explained everything that I can think of (that would be relevant or necessary, of course), but if anyone knows me and knows something I forgot, you can post it below. I already know about three or four users on here, but I hope I can get to know more people on here!

EDIT: Oh, I also forgot to mention that I forgot to post an introduction on the other forum until I had 1,000+ posts, which explains the title of this thread.
