#211334 Is the wii u THAT underpowered?

Posted by Lebon14 on 26 May 2013 - 01:24 AM

The WiiU isn't as underpowered as the haters might make it seem. Is it underpowered? Yes. But FAR from as much as the Wii was to the PS360 combo. I think that those screens shows it. W101 is not a launch game but isn't a game that is far into the console's life either and Knack, whatever that game is, doesn't even look graphically better, is it? I see them both on par.

#183153 NASDAQ: Nintendo Must Sell 500K Wii U Games to Recoup Loss

Posted by Lebon14 on 15 March 2013 - 08:50 PM

That's a big number, but I'm sure Ninty will do it :D

I have the same feeling here. I'm pretty sure E3 will make the U sell like hotcakes. That said, they'll make up for the loss in no time!

#178388 Nintendo and Crytek... could it work?

#178383 EA EXPOSED

Posted by Lebon14 on 02 March 2013 - 06:03 PM

Summarise? can't be bothered to watch the video.

EA wanted Origin to be the fundation of Nintendo's online offering "Nintendo Network". Nintendo said "no" and EA was butthurt. AFterward, Crysis 3 was cancelled for WiiU (even though it was running and ready for release) because EA and Nintendo were in conflict. Not because of Nintendo, because of EA being too butthurt. Because of EA being butthurt, third party support will be reduced for a minimum for WiiU because most of multi-platform you can think of, EA has a part of it. Nintendo had every right to say No to this. It's like you made something, a big project. Then, you needed help for a detail and ask your friend. Then, since he helped out, he wanted to take full credit for making the project you were working on.

EA needs to die in a fire.

#177124 Wii U sales fall below PS Vita's for the first time

Just wait until the games are released.

...or announced ;)

E3 *winkwink*

#176304 How do you think Nintendo could advertise better?

Posted by Lebon14 on 25 February 2013 - 05:13 PM

Just communicatie what we have:

WiiU:
- Nintendo's next gen gaming system is right here right now with:
- Triple A Exclusives
- huge back cataloque with Virtual Console
- continue playing while TV is occupied
- eShop
- integrated social network designed for gaming
- unique experience with Gamepad
- crossplay with 3DS

And then create a video not showing people playing, but just showing some scenes of the top of the bill released and upcoming games

and say, with the most emphasis possible, that the WiiU is NOT a Wii upgrade. That it's a completely new console.

Hey guys.
I frequent a French linkdump and this one came up about video games. This guy is selling 30 years of videogames history on ebay :

For half million dollar.

Like any gamer out there, if I had the cash, I would buy that RIGHT NOW.

#165006 Yarn Yoshi

Posted by Lebon14 on 30 January 2013 - 06:49 PM

A part of me despise the "yarn" part of this future game. I'm probably just disappointed because I was more looking forward to something like SMW2: Yoshi's Island (SNES). I don't say that it'll be a bad game, I'm sure it won't but... I can't shake this bad feeling.

Btw, I've got nothing against Kirby's Epic Yarn.

Never cared for this game...

Just give me a game that looks like skyward sword :)

Never really cared for Skyward Sword. That work both ways you know.

I've said already but... DAY ONE purchase for me!

#158542 Pokemon Series Questions

Posted by Lebon14 on 11 January 2013 - 11:06 AM

normaly it would be (in the case of sapphire an ruby) the: story would be diffrent as in who you would be fighting a different cause(the enemy), pokemon you would find, each game has a different legendary pokemon.

The story... I wouldn't say "different" to describe it between versions. I would describe it more like "similar". Also, to note, Red & blue and gold, silver and crystal had the same story in their generation. Yellow reflected more the anime. Afterward, starting for Gen III, all stories were similar.

Beside the changes are aesthetic and pokemon-wise. Seriously. The third version usually adds in more features and alter more pokemon and usually more legendaries are available.

Imo, get one version and get the 3rd game except for gen5 where there are only two versions of the two games. In other words...
Get red or blue/green and yellow.
Get gold or silver and crystal (I have Gold and my bro has crystal)
Get ruby or sapphire and emerald
Get diamond or pearl and platinum (I personally have both Diamond and Platinum)
Get white or black and white2 or black2.
When they are out, if interessed, get X or Y and, if it gets out (probably), Z.

However, for old games, if you want a full pokedex in the 6th gen games, with no use of Internet for trading, you will need :
Two gameboys color and a transfer cable
Two GBAs and wireless adaptor
One DSlite
One 3DS
A cheating device for GBC.
A cheating device for GBA.
A cheating device for DS.
All pokemon games, I mean every version.

For normal pokemon, you can simply trade through another version. For Mew, you can do the glitch in red/blue (be sure to plan ahead!) or use a GBA cheating device in Emerald to get to the Faraway Island. To get Celebi, you need a cheating device to make a legit capture. In 3rd Gen, use a cheating device to get Jirachi and Dioxys. For the fourth gen, you'll need a DS cheating device to get Arceus, Darkrai and Shaymin. For the fifth gen, you'll also need the DS cheating device to get Victini, Keldeo, Meleotta and Genesect. All the pokemon that I named that needs a cheating device is because they were only given through events (i.e. Going to a pokemon event irl or item distributed through Mystery gift that gave access to said legendary). Starting Gen III, you need items. Otherwise, it'll be caught in a non-legitimate way and the pokemon won't obey you. Otherwise all other pokemon are available for capture and evolution through normal playthrough. You may need multiple playthrough in order to get them all since some are in settings like "Choose me or the other" (ex.: Starters, Latias/Latios, etc)

OK, I rambled enough. I'm writing a walkthrough here.

P.S I won't tell you how to obtain or name such cheating device because some of them will be against forum rules.

#158162 Super Mario 64 Remake/ Sequel

there you go

That's pretty much the remake, However, it feels so different than the original and going from console to portable device didn't do any good either. For one, I would love to see a proper remake on the WiiU (for cheap though) without doing what they did in the DS version.

#142298 Rumored xbox 720 CPU specs... 1.6GHZ

Posted by Lebon14 on 02 December 2012 - 06:48 PM

This CPU drama makes me remember when Intel released the Core 2 line. The LGA 775 Pentium 4s were known for their clock rate and yet, when the Core 2 was released, some were barely clocked at 1.6GHz and could easily beat the f* out some P4s. Adding a core or 3 changes a lot of things too! The clock speed is only part of a bigger picture.

Also, if the clocking gets too high, there are also other issues appearing : heat (which can be a serious issue in a home console) and CPU lifetime. There are a lot of stuff to take into account when you create hardware.
