#167570 hi to all

Posted by methatron on 06 February 2013 - 06:00 AM

thanks for yours welcome!!!

(vedi, flame, trolling etc etc)

To Bonac (with google translate, yes i am an useless illiterate  ) i come from genova, everything is right and this year I graduate in medicine and in his spare time (few recently :( ) I'll kill myself to video games, I'm lucky cause have a girlfriend not being addicted to video games like me but she play with me and loves social games nintendo and assassin creed!
i really like the nintendo wii u and even if no one sees it next gen I think we will play legendary games on it. Also appreciate the community of players nintendo,in mii verse, and in the forum, I found that there is an attitude of willingness and genuine desire to have fun ,in other areas of the world of the gamer not exist this feeling (see: flame, trolling etc etc or just too many criticism)

So Bonac where are u from? which is your best game  nintendo (and/or not nintendo,i play with pc too)?

In general, if someone wants to make a petition for a wii u porting version of NI NO KUNI, I subscribe now!!!!!!! :D

P.S.: methatron is my nintendo network id too!

#165447 How is Skyward Sword?

Posted by TheUltimateWaddleDee on 01 February 2013 - 11:29 AM

I do the same thing.  It took me weeks to get through Twilight Princess and I think this will take me even longer, if the reviews are to be believed.

It took me 2 years for Twilight Princess.  Get on my level. :P

#165438 Could the 720 and PS4 out preform the Wii U in launch sales?

It does suck though... it sucks in the discs!

Well I, personally, love it. I've been playing it for a few weeks now (yes, I take that long to play video games. got a problem with that?), and I love the aesthetic and even the controls, which so many seem to hate. Perhaps it's just because my Wii Remote Plus is newer and thus is more accurate? I don't know. :P But yes, the game is quite fun, but I got stuck in quite a few places, which isn't necessarily a bad thing, as it keeps you playing for longer. :3

#162616 New Xeno Title!

Posted by 3Dude on 24 January 2013 - 12:21 PM

There aren't neon colors though. I took a quick look again and everything is slightly desaturated, even during broad daylight and during the sunset scenes. It has a wide range of colors, yes, but none of those are "neon". :P I don't think it's desaturated enough to make the game look bad, but it's definitely a bit duller than say, real life visuals regardless of whether or not there's literally rainbows all over the game. I think it'd look a little nicer if the sunnier spots were a bit more saturated compared to the less well lit areas but it's an artistic direction and honestly I didn't even notice it the first time I watched it

Look again at the neon transforming mechs, and the neon bioluminescence enemies begin to give off as it gets dark.

What you are talking about isnt desaturation. Its volumetric air space.  it simulates the effect of particulate matter in the air. And this is one of tbe best examples ive ever seen. It actually has variations of density in multiple locations at sirprising differences in distance, many farther out than devs would ever bother with.... In fact it may be animated or part of a cycle, an advanced part of X's version of xenoblades very varied weather/environment system. As for the color scheme said effect makes. Reminds me a lot of Nevada honestly.

Regaurdless, your assumption was still very short sighted. Just look at xeno lades Satorl marsh.

Ew! theres no colors! The whole gamez colorless and desaturated!

Yeah! that game gets it! thoughs colors are way better!

Same game, same place, just different time.

#144370 Hacker reveals WiiU CPU/GPU clock speeds

Posted by SNES on 06 December 2012 - 12:12 AM

Clock speed isn’t everything, and sometimes power is a matter of efficiency, not pure numbers.

The only part of the article that matters. Better articles have done the work that this one didn't. The system doesn't need the high clock speeds of yesteryear, because it runs everything more efficiently. It's running the same games, day one, on a system that is smaller than the PS360, with far less heat and power consumption. Demos have shown the system is not a graphics slouch by any means. A basic understanding of development costs would tell anyone that for the next five years (long enough for the generation cycle to age), most companies won't be able to afford the graphic detail shown in UE4, Cryengine, or Luminous, but if they could (since the engines are scalable), the Wii U would handle them just fine.

This obsession over hardware power is stupid, petty, and pointless. Graphic capabilities right now produce some incredible looking games. The next huge graphics hardware leap won't be happening until high end GPU costs come down substantially, and anyone expecting the Wii U to be substantially less powerful than the next gen Sony and MS consoles is going to be very disappointed.
