If this were to happen with games like CoD: Ghosts, I'd be much more likely to purchase them. Black Ops 2 online was a deserted wasteland.

Are you measuring the selling success of games like Blacklist as a ratio of copies sold to install base? We can't compare absolute numbers sold because PS3 and 360 have been out for 8 years and have huge install bases compared to Wii U.

Sounds nothing more than the logic a fanboy would use to justify their purchase. I'm sure many Sony and Microsoft fanboys feel the same about their respective console's games. Nintendo's games are amazing, but to say that their quality of gaming is above everything else on the market is laughable.
It's not fanboy logic. There's a reason certain old cars are worth more than other certain old cars. There's a reason why certain old anythings are worth more than other certain old anythings.

Sometimes I don't like not having such streamlined online features, but at the same time as a family man I really appreciate the fact that Nintendo is the only console manufacturer/game publisher left that really emphasizes local co-op. The claim of modern online gaming is that the machines are connecting people, and it is nice to be able to play games with people that don't live nearby, but I think they're also disconnecting us from those around us. I appreciate robust local co-op features that encourage gaming as a family, with friends, etc all in the same room where we can see each other and really enjoy the experience together.

Its so many things to do in the game its chaotic... plain and simple Nintendo makes FUN games and my wife and kids are going to get a LOT of gameplay out of this.
My thoughts exactly. I showed my wife (who is not a gamer) the trailer and she thought it was awesome. Then even the next day she told me she couldn't wait to play it with me, without me even mentioning it. Big success in my mind! I look forward to having it around to play as a family

How is the picture quality of Wii games on the gamepad? With it being a native 480p screen I would imagine that it looks really sharp.
Yes, I do have to say that what I've tested so far looks EXCELLENT. Twilight Princess, which on my HDTV looks like a muddy, blurry mess, looks PERFECT. Everything is crisp and easy to see.

I am still updating. Anyone notice any difference in performance/speed in OS?
I have noticed some improvement getting around in Miiverse. It's still really lame but better than before. I shouldn't have to wait AT ALL when I open the console settings. No other console is like that.
The update changed that. Plus you don't have to use motion controls when you have a classic controller pro.
Ah okay. So this means I CAN play Ocarina of Time (VC) on the gamepad?!

I've never been one to buy covers and that sort of thing. The only thing I can think of off-hand is to check out the Wii U Pro Controllers if you are interested in that kind of controller.
For me personally the most worthwhile investment I've made in an accessory was a good wireless headset.
