#174575 Why are people doubting Wii U now because of PS4?

Posted by Zinix on 22 February 2013 - 02:07 PM

The Wii U will succeed, no doubt about that. Every gen since the Gamecube because has said Nintendo is destined to fail, and they've always been wrong.  With the PS4 coming soon, this will probably be the "slap to the face" Nintendo needs in order to reinvent themselves; they need to reevaluate their plan.

#174189 Many game developers were unaware of the PS4's RAM increase

Randy Pitchford
Thanks for the great event in NY @playstation - Very pleased with the commitment to 8gb of GDDR5 memory. Other specs are beautiful too!

Oh you.
Try making good Aliens games instead of talking up stuff.

#173796 Ps4=Wii U in graphics IMO

That third party support is insane. Nintendo had like 6 developers and Sony had like 40. Im not hating but come on Nintendo step it up.

#172170 What mistakes should Nintendo learn from the Wii U?

Posted by Foot on 16 February 2013 - 06:42 PM

Nintendo needs to learn what an Account System is. This means that all online data from a specific person's account (eShop purchases, Miiverse posts, THE F-ING ACCOUNT ITSELF!) should be tied to an account and NOT the hardware! That was just an idiot choice on their part.

Dear Criterion,

I love you.

Sincerely, a person who is picking up Most Wanted on Wii U because of the effort you guys put into it.

P.S. Most Wanted looks amazing!

Finally, a proper port to take better advantage of Wii U hardware and control mechanics. This is definitely on my wishlist.

#170692 The '90s Arcade Racer is coming to Wii U

Posted by Lord Pickleton on 12 February 2013 - 10:34 AM

Here's a portion of a Nintendo Life interview with Antonis Pelekanos...   Full Interview

NL: When can we expect to see the Wii U version of The 90's Arcade Racer? Is it being developed alongside the other editions?

AP: The plan is to release the game in late 2013, alongside the other versions.

NL: How do you plan to make use of the Wii U GamePad controller's screen?

AP: It’s very early to confirm anything as several features are being considered. A few ideas include using it as a steering wheel, a rear view mirror and of course off-TV play.

NL: Will the game feature any local or online multiplayer options on Wii U?

AP: I can’t confirm either right now, but believe me it’s something I would really like to see happen on Wii U.

#168895 Okay, time for all the other 3rd party exclusives to get delayed!

Posted by Cozmo on 08 February 2013 - 02:03 PM

If I were a developer/publisher, I'd tell them to shove it. What's the worst that can happen? You still get to release your game on other platforms and you don't have to worry about additional development costs for a 360 version. At that point, Microsoft would be on the losing end with no version for their console what-so-ever. Their loss.

lol exactly :P but the higher up want the green and M$ is just a minor set back for them.

#168844 Rayman Legends developer just as unhappy about the delay

Posted by tboss on 08 February 2013 - 12:48 PM

... shouldnt publishers work for developers instead of vice/versa.

found BS of activision, EA,and ubisoft devs complaining about the publisher, or showing signs of being held back for BS reasons.

Don't hate the game, hate the publisher

Just a hit count article, don't give it to them.

#165335 Iwata says he may resign if they don't make 100billion yen in profit this...

Posted by AndyG on 31 January 2013 - 10:00 PM

I like Iwata and hope that things can turnaround for the better. If anyone needs to go, it's Reggie. He's completely clueless. VC releases in NA have been a joke and fans had to create a movement(O:R) just to get Xenoblade, The Last Story and Pandora's Tower over here. Reggie's good for internet memes and that's about it. NOA needs someone who knows games and understands the fans. Reggie doesn't.

I don't think he's body will be ready for that :)

#164884 Why should I get a 3DS?

Posted by Dusean17 on 30 January 2013 - 01:03 PM

There is plenty to play on the 3ds.get the XL though so much better than the regular. I will ask you this though. What good games are there for vita, I'm being serious I just bought one.

What games are there? Well it all depends on preference I like:
  • Ultimate Marvel VS Capcom 3 (EPIC Port looks amazing)
  • Dynasty Warriors NEXT (Frantic and great creation)
  • Uncharted (Best looking Vita game)
  • BlazBlue
  • Disegea
  • Gravity Rush (So original and very fun)
  • Little BIG Planet PS Vita
  • Ragnarok Odyssey (Like an anime Monster Hunter)
  • SFXT (not my type of game but still good)
  • Wipeout 2048 (soooo fun!)
  • ModNation Racers Road Trip (Great but no Online)
  • ACIII Liberation
  • Sound Shapes (Super original and great community)
  • Super Star Dust Delta
  • PlayStation All-Stars (We all know its based off SSB even so its helluva lotta fun)
  • Need for Speed Most Wanted  (Incredible game looks like console version)
I could name more but I am at a loss right now.... :)

Love my 3DS. You said you were looking into Super Mario 3D Land. Highly recommended! I'm 34 years old and I still love me some Mario. You won't be disappointed. The 3D is quite impressive in this game too.

As for everything else, the 3DS library is great and it's only going to improve as time goes on. It all comes down to your tastes. If the system offers the titles you want to play, then the 3DS is for you.

The system itself is really cool and offers some cool apps and functionality. The eShop is nice and offers a great variety of digital games as well.

Really? Super Mario 3D Land in fact does look amazing! xD I think you guys convinced me I will get the Fire Emblem Blue Bundle, mostly because the 3DS XL is not my cup of tea but even so Pokemon X & Y are the main reasons for my purchase. :D

#162607 Help me come back....

Posted by umegames on 24 January 2013 - 11:58 AM

I have friends who do this and i can't understand why....
Buying a system is an INVESTMENT!
i too bought one at day one, not because of Mario U and Nintendo land (although i do enjoy them) but because i knew i wanted future games mario, zelda, rayman, smash bros.

Now here you are wanting to turn around and buy it again, you've lost money. Buy a wiiu and stick with it till the next nintendo system. Done.
