I don't know if this is on here yet, (I apologize if it is), but Polygon interviewed Sakurai, and adding / removing characters is driving him insane, because he doesn't want to make anyone unhappy by removing characters people love, but he wants to add new ones. I thought it was pretty interesting. He also talks about the balance of the game, mechanics of certain characters, and so on.

I find anything better looking than his Brawl design. His SFA design would be nice to see though. A young looking Fox would be a cool addition to Smash Bros.

Personally if I could see any one of Fox's designs brought to Smash Bros. I would love to see his Assault design make it. That's by far my favorite.

Assault. Please. I loved Assault

EA is a business. Yes, they are unreasonable sometimes, and some of their employees have big mouths, but some people need to stop being butthurt because they wouldn't make their games for Wii U. Yes, it sucks, but from a business standpoint, it makes sense. EA's sports games have always had trouble selling on Nintendo consoles. They aren't putting them on because a lot of us (including me, because I personally don't like sports games) didn't buy them. I don't blame them. The install base isn't large enough to have a big enough number of Nintendo sports fans to actually make money yet. And out of most of the games they ported over were just that. Ports. They weren't bad. Actually, EA's games are currently some of the highest rated games for the Wii U on the internet. We just didn't buy them. I don't blame EA for not putting stuff on the Wii U at all. Am I happy about it? No. Do I think from a business standpoint, it's smart of them? Yes. Do I think Nintendo is doomed? No.

And for everyone saying "But the XDONE AND PS4 DON'T HAVE ANY BASE YET LOL EA"

For both consoles, I can guarantee that they will sell more of EA's games on launch than the Wii U has currently. It's just the type of people that buy Nintendo consoles at launch and the type of people that buy MS and Sony consoles at launch. They're different.

I WANT THIS. I want to play Star Fox. I loved Assault for the Gamecube. I know a lot of people didn't and liked SF64 more, but Assault will always be my favorite. I'm sure he could do something to make the ground battles more interesting to everyone else too

I think they definitely should have included it, but honestly, if I actually want to get through a Mario game, I'll play by myself, and if I want to play with other people, I'll play with my friends. So actually going online... I probably wouldn't do that much for this game. Not exactly what Mario games are about in my opinion

I'm not sure how much I believe this. This is so vague. That could as easily mean shovelware as any other 3rd party title. I'm gonna wait for the big hit games to come out, like Mario Kart and SSB, but I might see myself getting my first non-Nintendo console ever sometime soon, the PS4. All they needed was Kingdom Hearts... I would have been completely sold Nintendo...

I feel like there are 2 categories of Nintendo haters.

1. "NINTENDO IS 4 BABIES I LIKE GROWN UP GAMEZ"

2. "Nintendo makes good games, but they shouldn't have their own console because I don't have a Nintendo system so they're stupid so yeah I'm right"

This is fake. I could have made this list. Everything on this list has already been talked about by Nintendo, which would mean no surprises. That's not what Nintendo does. Plus, all the  points above are quite valid. I would be really disappointed if it WASN'T fake, as there is nothing I didn't already know was going to be there

Sonic is now a Nintendo system exclusive as of the last Nintendo Direct. SO yes

And the competition for 'stupidest thread' has just gotten fierce. 

First, people started strong with Wii U death threads, and even today, the momentum keeps them going.

Next, we have at least 40 E3 hype/dehype threads, all rooting for the top spot.

BUT WAIT WHAT'S THIS! A genwunner has entered the fray, and has caused a ruckus in the peaceful land of Wii U forums already

Luckily, we have newcomers like this who keep the competition fresh and intense. The other members of this race will really have to pick up the pace after this curveball.
