Earlier this month, Square Enix announced they had a new game coming to the Wii U, and it would be revealed at PAX East. In this last day or so, much has been revealed about this game, prior to the start of PAX East.
There’s a lot of information with this one, so you can check it out after the break:
A German podcast member announced that he had indeed already seen the game, and that the title of the game is Deus Ex: Human Revolution Director’s Cut. You can listen to the podcast using the link provided, but please note that it is indeed in German. Go figure.
In addition, Amazon has put out a pre-order for the game, so rest assured that this actually a thing. Amazon says that the game is to be released in North America on May 7th.
Nintendo Life has a very organized list of new improvements in this game:
In an interview with Eurogamer, executive game director Jean-Francois Dugas and game designer Emile Pedneault have given us some insight about the game itself and what sets it apart from other versions of the game. Dugas talks about what makes this game so interesting for the Wii U:
It’s a new console. It has a lot of new interesting features in terms of the controller.
But also in terms of Deus Ex: Human Revolution, we had been talking for a long time about creating this ultimate edition where there would be new content and we would have a chance to revisit some of the aspects of the game. We thought with the release of the Wii U it was a great opportunity to do that, to take advantage of this new console but also create the ultimate package for the game.
We really did quite a lot to make this package very unique, and give the old fans who already enjoyed Human Revolution a new purpose to enjoy it again.
Furthermore, some information was given about the “Neutral Hub”, the gameplay mechanic which utilizes the Wii U Gamepad:
One of the first CGI trailers we did in 2010 showed Jensen’s vision turning into Smart Vision, and you saw an enemy with all this information. Now it gets closer to that feel, that wasn’t present in [the original] Human Revolution.
We used the GamePad to improve the immersion of the game. We found that this touch-screen, the GamePad and everything, is closer to the vision of Deus Ex, where you are someone who is augmented and you have systems implemented in you that give you the edge in combat in all situations.
All the systems are now linked to the Neural Hub. All your maps, your inventory, your augmentation menu, your mission log, are now systems in Adam Jensen.
You have the impression when playing that the Wii U GamePad is part of Adam Jensen and one of his useful augmentations. It doesn’t break the pace.
Square Enix is delivering, but could they show us anything new with the game at PAX East? What do you think about this new break?

Someone on Wii U daily made a few good points in my opinion:
"What the pundits are failing to recognize is that what we're looking at isn't the WiiU's real launch. Nintendo isn't pushing it and they're not heavily advertising it -- and this is intentional -- because It's clearly not finished (i.e. the UI isn't finished, console selling games aren't ready) and they don't want it to be overplayed by the time the real push will be on.
Nintendo had to launch a new console when they did because the Wii had prematurely reached the end of its life as a revenue generator -- no new 3rd party support and coasting on fumes -- and Nintendo was posting its first ever loss. Investors demanded action and Nintendo had to give it to them. They couldn't go another year with the Wii while they finished its successor. It simply had to be put out immediately, ready or not.
This may turn out to be a winning strategy however. The WiiU launched with a 1 year head start on the PS4 and n'X-Box.
What this gives Nintendo during the next holiday season are the advantages of having a perfectly polished console and a big lineup of excellent Nintendo IP and 3rd party games versus Sony and Microsoft's new consoles inevitably with bugs to work out and limited libraries like any brand new console. Nintendo will be "launching" into the next generation console war with an excellent library and a polished console that developers know how to program for out the gate.
Has anybody seen a single ad outside of the internet? I have not. Not one. Do people think Nintendo wouldn't have an advertising budget to flood the airwaves with TV ads? Of course they do, they're choosing not to use it yet. Nintendo is intentionally holding back while they get ready to go head to head with the new consoles from Sony and Microsoft.
I expect a crescendo to build starting at E3, culminating in a huge ad push around the back to school and holiday season. By Christmas, there will be all these 3rd party games, many of which are releasing on the new Playstation 4 and Xbox but there will also be Nintendo's IP including WiiFit U, Pikmin 3, Zelda Wind Waker HD and probably the new 3D Mario game that will be playable at E3. Oh, throw in the exclusive LEGO City Undercover and the insane potential of the Pokemon Rumble Blast collectables. Which console would you get if you could have the AAA games in addition to all of Nintendo's franchises?
PS4 and n'X-Box will inevitably have teething problems -- all consoles do. While they sort those out, Nintendo will already have a perfectly polished console with a ton of titles at the time they're both launching for Christmas.
I'm very confident that this strategy will put Nintendo ahead or at least give the WiiU a fighting chance up against more powerful consoles."

Since they have a new CEO, they better stop being butthurt of Origin not coming to Wii U and publish games for it.
Also:
Sort out DLC/microtransactions
Increase the overall quality of their games

^This. Nintendrones whine that 3rd parties don't like Nintendo, but they refuse to buy 3rd party games.
Unfortunately, that is very true.
Nintendo owners complain that they don`t get good 3rd party support, but when they do, not everything fits their tastes and most of the times they will just buy it for another .

And we get left out in the dust again. I can't wait until Nintendo blows everyone at E3 away with our monster IPs. Then we will get some 3rd party action. Who will be laughing then?
i'm calling it now wii u gets great games this year gets a 50 dollar price drop when ps4 comes out and everyone buys it coming out as top console

The NFC suggestion is stupid. What does buying a toy to unlock a character bring to the game besides more money for Nintendo? It also makes the game seem very childish. I'm almost 19, I don't buy or play with toys anymore. And if I did it would only be collectibles that would stay in their box.
All the other suggestions are fine, but honestly the series doesn't feel stale to me. Every MK has been different to the last, so I think we can trust Nintendo to do the same with this one.

"Reggie Fils-Aime: Oh yeah. More powerful hardware. That’s worked out real great for them in the past. I have a riddle for you. Whats big and red and comes around once a year?
Scott Moffitt: Santa?
Reggie Fils-Aime: No, Sony’s financial reports"

How about we just say that all the consoles are equally great and we just buy the systems and games that we all want! No Sony is better or Nintendo is better. They are both great and we will have fun with the consoles like we have the consoles before them.
Edit: I say this with enthusiasm in my voice not anger!
