#316910 Nintendo Directs live on!

Posted by Raiden on 15 September 2015 - 11:55 AM

http://nintendoevery...-will-continue/

Nintendo Directs will keep airing in the future, Nintendo has confirmed.

“Nintendo Directs will continue,” the company said in a statement to IGN. “But we have no details to provide now on who will be featured or the topics that will be covered.”

It’s been several months since we last saw a Nintendo Direct. A “Micro” presentation was held in June, and prior to that, Mr. Morimoto hosted a Japan-only broadcast in late May.

#316864 Wii Zap U prototyping

Posted by Nukie on 11 September 2015 - 03:46 PM

A while ago, I posted a series of images of the "Wii Zap U" which was my design of a rifle like Wii U Zapper.

The link below shows some early concept art and the progression of the idea.

Now an opportunity has arisen to turn my ideas into real prototypes, so I ask for the help and support of this community.
Dremel New Zealand are giving away a 3D printer, the winner being the one with the most votes.

The link below will take you to the competition submission page,  scroll though the entries until you find the picture above and give it a vote please.

After voting, please leave a reply so I know who to thank.

Another idea I have is for Wiimote FPS/Shooter fans.
A case or holder for your Wiimote that has levers which actuate buttons.  The levers will reach towards the [A] button.  A simple design might let you press plus, minus, D-left or D-right without moving your thumb too far from [A]. If I make one, I'll happily post the designs here for other members to use.
Thank you for your time.

#316771 Wii U Refurb with Nintendo Land and Super Mario 3D World

I much prefer the white consoles since they don't smudge as easily. I'd get this in a heartbeat if I didn't own a Wii U already

Kinda an easy one, but I did it for a site.

#316670 The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD (Review) | ZyroXZ2

Posted by ZyroXZ2 on 01 March 2016 - 11:53 AM

I admit it, I automatically gravitated towards Laura. I... I think I might have a problem... ._.

***AUTO-MERGED: 3/1/15***

I agree: the next main Zelda game just can't come soon enough! But with a tendency for delays, perhaps something to chew on might help ease the anxiety... And what better than an HD version of Twilight Princess!

And finally, this will be the last update provided to this thread.  Those of you who found me through this forum: I want to thank you for having the courage to check out "just another" YouTube channel being posted by a forum member!  I get that these things can be hard to trust, so those of you that had the fearlessness to watch my videos: I thank you kindly!

Some of you are on my social media and already know why I won't be updating forum threads anymore.  For the rest of you: the channel will be shutting down at the end of June 2016.  And for the losers that I easily tracked to individual forums that only dislike my videos when I post them: you finally got your win, and I hope it makes your day better!  Yes, I've known who you are for awhile now! :D

Farewell everyone, and best of joy with your games, not your systems!

#316656 Chasing Dead FPS Wii U

Posted by Raiden on 18 August 2015 - 10:44 PM

chasing-dead-656x426.jpg

2020Venture is developing a new game for Wii U known as “Chasing Dead”. It’s a sci-fi/horror first-person shooter that will likely be distributed via the eShop.

Here’s an official overview:

When a second Earth unexpectedly and inexplicably appears in our skies, a team of operatives, astronauts, and scientists are sent 955,600 miles across space by NASA and the US Military, however all contact is lost a few hours after their arrival on.

You take the role of a hardened and fearless ex-marine named Jake, whose main objective is to collect any pieces of research left behind by the missing expedition team. You will venture through snowy Russian tundra, traverse the hot deserts of Afghanistan and venture through the ruined cities of Ukraine as you fight off creatures that were created through mankind’s self-destruction. Use any weapon you can find from firearms to blunt instruments to battle the endless hordes of zombies and mutants that plague this alternate Earth. This brave new world is fraught with horrors as players try to survive lethal perils such as a crashing airline flight, an abandoned mine, a dilapidated hospital and a haunted house.

As you collect data modules and listen to logs left behind by the original team, you will steadily come upon the horrifying revelation that lead to this parallel Earth’s demise. But above all else, you must achieve the one thing that no one else on this hellish Earth has been able to do, survive.

Chasing Dead is tentatively scheduled for 2015. Visit the official website here for more information.

#316598 Super Mario Maker Overview Video

Posted by Mewbot on 13 August 2015 - 10:27 PM

It looks so good.

SOOOOOOO GOOOOOOOOOOOOD.

Also this confirms splatoon amiibo are compatible, and the Mario Smash and Party Amiibo both work so I wonder what their effect will be in the game?

#309264 The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD (Review) | ZyroXZ2

Posted by ZyroXZ2 on 13 August 2015 - 04:37 PM

I'm not really into this whole remake/port situation, but then again, the Wii U admittedly isn't exactly bursting at the seams with games to play!  So I took the dive and gave this PS2 port a shot!  Does it stand the test of time?

***AUTO-MERGED: 8/13/15: Donkey Kong Country 2 Review!***

Rare Replay is awesome, there's no doubt about it.  But it doesn't have ALL of Rare's best gems, and it CAN'T.  Microsoft may have bought Rare, but without the rights to Donkey Kong, there's a series that ranks up there with Rare's best work.  This one!
