I purchased this game today, and it is being shipped to my local store for pick-up (free shipping that way). I am very glad to support this developer, even though I'm not really a fan of this series. They have put so much effort into this title that there is no way I was going to NOT reward their efforts.

 

Hopefully I have a few minutes of fun when I finally bring it home. :-) This purchase was all about supporting a developer who actually cares, and not really much else. Here's hoping that voting with my wallet pays off.

Yeah....I'm not sure about this line of thinking either. So you spent $30-60 on something you probably won't enjoy just for third party support? Would you buy a candy bar you hated just because someone spent a lot of time making it and you wanted to help them? No of course not. They do it as a business and hey, its a great game and I hope you enjoy it, but thats probably not a very good reason at all to spend money on anything.

I don't need a "to do list" in my games. I play them to have fun and not do the most random crap just to make myself look better by upping my gamer score.

Not really a DUMB thing to say. Most people end up getting 2 consoles anymore. So really if I have one of the other 2, it doesn't matter if it doesn't come to Wii U anyway.

And aren't people always clamoring for MORE Mario, Zelda, Metroid, Smash Bros, Mario Kart, etc? Franchise games mostly have the same core mechanics at heart. Maybe YOU are tired of them alan666, but don't go throwing the rest of us in there when I'd still rather be playing the same sorts of games I grew up with as opposed to a million FPS and sandbox games that aren't much different from each other.

It probably transfers your points over because it uses Origin instead of XBL or Nintendo Network to store that data.

Loving the game so far. Not sure where this "doesn't look as good" thing came from cause it IS the PC textures.

Unless your HD tv is bigger then 36", you can't tell the difference between 720p and 1080p anyway.
