#199027 New Wii U Ads

Posted by Tre on 23 April 2013 - 06:07 PM

They are great ads for the target audience. Yes, upgrading is the correct word. You upgrade your computer. You upgrade your phone. You upgrade your Wii for a Wii U. Nintendo was smart with these ad. Families understand upgrade. They hear it in any electronics store that they enter.

#137424 Developers Have It Wrong, The Wii U Is Powerful, It’s Next Generation Powerful

Posted by Tre on 24 November 2012 - 10:22 AM

Specs is all people are caring about. That's like people only caring about the ingredients in foods. Just play or eat it or not. I'm done with this internet nonsense. Well back to my Wii U. I'll just play my games which I'm not looking at specs. This isn't the Matrix. You are not looking at coding; you looking at the game.

Please people stop. As a fan of Nintendo, the Wii U should only be compared to the Wii not the PS3 or XBox360. It really makes people seem stupid. You are comparing a 2012 BMW to a 2005 BMW. So please stop it. Compare it to the Wii. The improvements and enhancements made over the Wii. After all it is the next generation console from Wii not the next generation console of Microsoft or Sony. End this now or when the Next Xbox or Playstation surface you will get trolled. Stop trying to pay back the Sony and Microsoft fans that treated you wrong. It is not necessary at all.

#95374 Nintendo has put themselves in a BAD situation

Posted by Tre on 24 July 2012 - 03:33 PM

Well explain to me why every game but revelation looks like crap on the 3DS then? (Talking tech here not artistitaclly)

Seriously no AA low res textures blahblahblah looks terrible.

Even though this shouldn't matter to people who just play what they like. These crap looking games that you speak on depends on the developer. As the system ages, the games will look better. Developers are still trying to figure it out. They don't stop trying until they have done all they can do on the system. Meaning the end of an hardware cycle, thus a new handheld will be in the works then.

I have never understood why people care what other people say about the system that they bought for themselves. When you buy what you like, it doesn't really matter. Example:
Person 1: What do you play on?
Person 2: WiiU
Person 1: That kiddie console.
Person 2: Yeah
Person 1: You must be a kid then.
Person 2: I guess I am.

It doesn't matter. Just enjoy what you buy. You buy the console for yourself not for other people.

#88176 Eurogamer Observations Playing with Wii U

To explain what I'm taking about TV's being some of the problem with latency, there was an article in 2006 about it. So if you have time read this and you would understand why it was the TV's fault more so than the console.

#70099 False Wii U Hardware Rumors Thread

I thought this was a good idea. Instead of making a new thread for every little rumor that comes out, this thread could have all of those in it.

#69441 Wii u the Next-Gen Bridge

Posted by Tre on 04 April 2012 - 10:35 AM

Bridge in this context is used to describe the Wii U as the starting point for the next generation as XBox 360 was the bridge to the current generation. Analyzing every quote, every article, and every video will only drive you crazy. All your answers will be reveal when the console launch. Not when E3 rolls around but when the console launch.

#61819 RUMOR - Ubisoft's 2012 game lineup (Assassin's Creed 3 on Wii U)

Well AC3 will be released in October 30th. This brings up an interesting point of when the Wii U will be released.

#59078 WiiU Renaming Suggestions (New Names)

Posted by Tre on 01 February 2012 - 05:11 PM

I would pick Nintendo Shinka. Shinka is Japanese for evolution which is what the Wii U is. It is an evolution of the Wii into something that is stronger and better that its predecessor. I chose Shinka because it is to reflect Nintendo being a Japanese Video game company while still also giving the console a unique name.

I like that name. That is creativity.

#58679 PS4 and 720 more powerful than Wii U?

Posted by Tre on 30 January 2012 - 05:30 PM

As I said earlier, the PS4 will not be too powerful than Wii U and the next Xbox. That would hinder them greatly. Third Parties want to develop multiplat games. If the PS4 is too powerful of a console then developers won't develop games for it cause they would have to start from scratch. This is a reverse effect of the Wii where the Wii games would be done from scratch hence developers didn't want the extra time and manpower to commit to doing that. It was done for some games and I'll admit that but it could have been done more. This next gen will be closer in power even if the PS4 is two years away. That was one of the problems that Dreamcast had. Exclusives are nice but they are not the only thing. You have to have variety and that's what third parties do.

#56196 PlayStation 4 will probably be alot stronger then the Wii U and Xbox 720

Posted by Tre on 21 January 2012 - 06:18 PM

Yes, Sony is a big company but they are running into money troubles. Awhile ago, Sony's CFO made a statement that they won't put the kind of money in the PS4 as they did with the PS3.
Link: http://www.industryg...estment-in-ps4/

Sony still may be powerful or the one with the most power of the Big 3 but it will not be by far. Just because Sony have many divisions, it doesn't mean they have endless money. If people would do some research on some non biased sites they would see what I mean and what other comm-enters have said.

#30952 Wii U power

Posted by Tre on 22 September 2011 - 06:24 AM

So my original post is correct?

both you and Andy were correct.
It is the 8th generation of video consoles when Wii U debut but it is also what you said in the breakdown of each company. Just as if Sega came back to making consoles it would be their 5th generation.

#20492 The Wii U needs 3rd party exclusives...badly

Posted by Tre on 10 August 2011 - 07:54 PM

Does this make me a pony's mule? Well I like Metroid.

I say it doesn't make you one. I believe people have different taste and I don't see exclusives hindering any console. People will buy what they like. Nintendo's first party games are great for some and boring to others. Some people only like third party games. I just think a good mixture makes any console a great one. I would like to see a console generation with even amount of genres on a system. That way people don't have to worry about not having anything to play.

#17371 Will Wii U Change the "Hardcore" Opinion?

Posted by Tre on 29 July 2011 - 09:31 AM

I'm glad I live in an area where people don't really care and play what they like. No one says anything about a person's console. They say great and each person talks about the game they are playing and how much they enjoy it. There is no mention of hardcore or casual gamers. Media propaganda wins again.
