I agree, the Wii U needs games not a price cut, I actually think it's very reasonably priced.

Wii vs gamecube is a difficult subject really. The gamecube was had much greater multi-format support and was a technical tour de force for its day. I would have to say one of the greatest things about the wii is is gamecube compatibility. I've actually used my wii more for gamecube games than wii games. Zelda windwaker was utterly amazing. Considering how poorly the gamecube sold it was clearly a fantastic opportunity for wii owners who may have never experienced gamecube games to actually play those games.
The trouble with the wii is many of the top developers had already moved away from the wii to develop for the 360 and PS3 and therefore the wii seemed to get the top nintendo games, a handful of good third party games but mainly a large amount of casual games. The gamecube got a huge range of fully optimised games from top developers even though it wasn't a commercial success like wii. Typically when a call of duty or medal of honor game was developed for xbox and ps2 the gamecube would get a version too of the same game where as with the wii it got far less conversions and because of the power difference they were often cut down versions missing important features.
The Gamecube was a truly terrific console with amazing software support and the last Nintendo home console that competed technically with its competitors. One of the greatest things about it was its fantastic loading speed. It almost seemed like it used cartridges. It would load games so quickly.

The RPG styled type. Oh my god, I freaking love Colosseum and XD. For a game like those to be on the Wii U would be amazing.

Oh dear here we go again, we are a WII U COMMUNITY!!! Can't we just talk, have fun and just enjoy it for what it is, the thing hasn't even been out that long, I will start worrying in about a year or so's time if things havn't chaned at all, you have to understand all consoles have a rough start, there is still plenty of time for things to improve, as I said if things are still the same in a year, that's when we need to worry.

Although I agree with you completely, times were different back then.
They always are but that doesn`t stop the market act in it`s own way and not how gamers on webforums think the market should or will act.
For example, remembre all the hype there was for KZ2. Best looking game EVER and that it was going to save PS3. None of that happened.
Fact is, beyond all hype for graphics, gamers - even gamers on webforums - work in simple ways: people want to have fun. That`s what always mattered and always will.

Well if he is a paid to make Nintendo look bad it isn't working on me!
The more people moan the more I'm reminded how good the Wii U is. For ever moaning post I'll just post two positive ones.
What Sony and Xbox fans think are negatives are positives to me so Wii U bashing falls on deaf ears.

All we need is the president of capcom to quit and have all these companies come back to the warm boobs of nintendo.

No. The PS4 will not destroy the Wii U. Or Nintendo. The PS4 might destroy Sony however...
