I feel like Microsoft did this because the XONE kits aren't hooked up to the XBL servers yet, so they had to use this PC to emulate the power that is possible with cloud. They prob did this bcuz everyone know s that Ps4 is more powerful, and considering the box is &499, they needed to show potential, even before the Ps4 price announcement
The problem is, not everyone will have access to high speed internet. Heck, I won't even trust my internet to be 100% reliable.
My main worry is that developers will be targeting these GTX 780 specs, leaving them with a major problem when the official hardware is released.
Yeah thats how it usually works. 360 had straight g5's instead of 360's its first show. Except, they mirrored the ballpark range of console specs, those units are packing titans or 780's. Nowhere remotely close to what the xbone will have, completely blows it out of the water.
This is going to make one ugly bottleneck when it comes time to make the move to actual xbones.
yeah. If I recall correctly the PowerMacs even had a core disabled to better emulate the 360.

I don't see the point in complaining about your name choice.
Everywhere lese lets you change your username, so it doesn't sink in that for the Wii u you have to be abso-horsing-loutely positive you will not have to change your name.
Even I had to change my name because I wasn't 100% comfortable having my last name in my NID. But because I wasn't sure about Nintendo's policy I called them and discovered i'd lose all of my eShop stuff, so I just set up a Mii dedicated to eShop purchases (and I do all of my purchases on that account)

then why am i still playing my PS3 currently?
Because you haven't purchased a next-gen console yet.
Of course, it might be better if we specify exactly when a generation becomes current or last gen. Here's my method:
Before Wii u launched: Xbox 360, PS3, and Wii are current gen and Wii U, PS4, and Xbox One are next gen.
After Wii u launched and before PS4 and XBone launches: Xbox 360, PS3, and Wii are last gen and Wii U, PS4, and Xbox One are next gen. there is no current gen
After Wii u l, PS4, and XBone launches: Xbox 360, PS3, and Wii are last gen and Wii U, PS4, and Xbox One are current gen.

The way they think time works is stupid then.
It's sort of a wibbly wobbly ball of stuff.
But I figure the basic principle is that: If an event was witnessed by a time traveller, that time traveller cannot go back and alter or prevent that event.
It's a pretty shaky theory, but it (or something similar) could explain why the Time Lords could bounce around time until they had experienced the bubble.
Or possibly the Doctor simply damage the time vortex enough in that period of time and space that time travel was virtually impossible.
Ok, I give up. It's more fantasy than science fiction.

Why do those characters look like various "adult toys"?!?!
That's what I was wondering...
Looks like a drinking game. That's all the judgement I'm going to pass about it.

After all said and done, we have what we have. Nintendo obviously intended the Wii U to be as powerful as it is. I just can't shake that feeling that the Wii U should have been the console they should have released in 2006 :-(
They should've launched it instead of the NES. Doesn't mean it was possible at a reasonable price point at the time, though.
