#318102 How good is Zelda?

Posted by Tom on 28 March 2017 - 11:33 AM

I figured I'd get it on the newer console, considering that the Wii U is pretty much dead in the water.

And I ain't just talkin' about the forum. :^)

#316536 Super Mario Maker: 60 Levels Confirmed; One by Rayman's Michel Ancel

Cool, this will help my lack of creativity :3 Also, are we able to like, combine our levels togethers into worlds and stuff? so that we could pretty much make our own Mario game? :o

No reviews of the Wii U version yet but the PS4 version is getting pretty poor reviews so far. Probably one for the bargain bin purchase if anything.

Not sure what sites you checked for reviews, I just did a quick google search and read 4 reviews of the ps4 version and most came in at 6.5 or 7 out of 10. I saw one C+ which equates to almost the same thing. Those reviews were all found in the top results. I wouldn't call that poor and it's just about on par with the original reviews if i remember correctly.

I saw one wii u version review from nintendo enthusiast scored it 8/10. It's already cheap at $24.99 . The one review site marked a negative for the game because it was a questionable title to be remastered. What? How can you score that against the game itself? lol

#309931 Wii U really is the best console for exclusive games.

Also who buys blu-rays anymore? I mean seriously. Everyone either watches Netflix or uses Redbox machines. I only get a Blu ray for something truly special. Blu ray sales are falling. Heck even steaming services can do 4k now. I got a million things that can play a DVD and PS3 plays blu rays but I never use it.

Between my ps4 and wii u.
I play the ps4 much more but I do have a few more games on the wii u then the ps4 tho.

I don't own an x1, and don't plan on it since there isn't anything on it worth it to me.

But with the ps4 there are games that won't ever come to the wii u and I just gotta have (battlefield, mgs, gta, etc...)
But then same for the wii u. Kirby , smash bro, mario etc..

So I guess I'm in between.
I think it just depends on what type of gamer you are as to which system would have the most games

Yes I have the Wii U and the One and I can definitely say the U gets sooooooo much more play time.  Games on the x1 are so sparce and far between.  Although PC still gets the most use.

#309399 Wii U top 3 games (for new owners)

Posted by Fig on 21 February 2015 - 02:52 PM

Let me say that there are several games worth owning, and you really can't go wrong with all of the games listed so far.

The first three games I would recommend are;

1. Mario Kart 8 - excellent entry in the MK series. Great multi and single player experience. Online races and DLC add tons of replay value.

2. Rayman Legends - might be the best platformer on Wii U. Great multi and single player experience. Superb use of the GamePad.

3. Super Mario 3D World - IMO, perfectly takes 2D Mario and puts it in a 3D space. Wii U's flagship Mario title is tons of fun, again, alone or with friends.

Nintendo is Love

Nintendo is Life

Nintendo is Perfect

Nintendo is Eternal

End of discussion.

#305514 Describe why you love your choice of Sony/Nintendo/Microsoft/etc.

Nintendo just has a certain magic that no one can deny. Both my brother and one of my oldest friends were "Nintendo consoles so much less powerful than competition. Ew." sorts of people. But they both shut up the first time they played Nintendoland. Now every time I'm coming over I get told to bring "the forks and knives game" (animal crossing mini game)

More or less this. I'll play indies and a few more mature or less family-friendly games by myself, and then play on WiiU with family. I think the only game my sisters have liked as much or more than a Nintendo game was Rayman Legends. Maybe Runner2. Pretty telling.

Another time some random guy in my school library was trying to be all condescending about my choice of console for this gen (Wii U obviously) then I mentioned smash bros, and all the smugness disappeared, his eyes lit up and he was like "Oh, I love that game!"

To quote Will Smith "Can't nobody do it the way [Nintendo] do"

Also "Haters, sick of the hits"

And "I see in [game journalism] pages, they refer to me as soft, yeah... more like Micro-soft" ok maybe not that second part so much.

Simply put, as I've said before, Nintendo right now is the most focused on creating fun, complete gaming experiences, and are doing the best job of it.
