#304070 Super Smash Bros. 4 Discussion Thread

Posted by KeptMyWiiUAndLeftTheForums on 28 November 2014 - 12:18 PM

I'm not sure if I just suck at fighting mario online or if the only mario players I've faced are really but every 1v1 for glory opponent who used mario has kicked my ass. Almost every one of them just up tilts me into about 30-40 percent then up airs me and by then I'm at 50 percent :/ I also struggle to hit them which only makes matters worse.

Meh. Don't really have to have either of those figures, but...I'll consider it.

#303665 Does the Gamecube Controller Adaptor work with Brawl or MKWii?

Posted by grahamf on 22 November 2014 - 07:09 AM

Owners of the adapter have confirmed that it doesn't work in vWii mode. Maybe if enough people complain, there'll be an update supporting it.

I hope so.

Wii U > Wii when it comes to just pure quality.

Wii U > Wii when it comes to everything except sales.

#303059 Elric's Poetry

Elric, YOU MONSTER.

After all this time, you finally show your face...And YOU'RE NOT A GOLDEN ALBINO WIZARD?

Shame on you, Shame...

In all honesty, I enjoyed them.

#302906 Address about what happened

Posted by Arioch on 14 November 2014 - 03:31 AM

I'm sorry, but what the hell are you thinking? This is you're response to everything? A passive aggressive argument on the justification of your behavior?

There is no need, none at all, for you to have made this post. In order for things to move on and relationships to improve, you take the situation and learn from it. You don't consistantly antagonize the userbase and then make an apology expecting everything to turn out peachy and everyone giving you another chance.

I'm still pretty miffed about a certain moderator telling me he would talk to me on Facebook Monday and then not doing it. I'm over it now. Forgiven but not forgotten. Putting family you can talk to every day over an online friend, is not how I, for one, roll.

I'm really not sure what else to say. Other than that I prefer honest people, like Ryudo. I'm sure if he was in the whole Facebook situation, he would come out and tell me, "I will talk to you on Monday, unless I'm busy with family. They come first and I will choose them over you."

This is honestly kind of disgusting, believing that you are more entitled to attention than someone's family. Real life, NO MATTER WHAT, takes priorty over internet interactions. A person is not required to mention that their life takes priority over someone elses. If you are a decent person, you would understand this idea and realize that not everyone can cater to you at every waking moment of the day.

I don't need to go through your post like N, and rip it apart, when it is already filled with holes.

Porhorse, I'm not spending any more time dealing with you, I've already dumped in more than enough.

I'll end it with what I've said to you before. People treat you how you treat them.

This thread is going to end in another back and forth.

Sometimes it's best to just take a break, relax. It isn't always necessary to post everything on your mind or "air" dirty laundry.

Also, apologies or other discussions regarding issues like this can happen through PM's which would be much more personable and allow the forums users to not come across things that really shouldn't be posted publically.

#302907 What Are Your Thoughts on Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric?

If anything... aside from bugs, glitches, frame drops the game is just bland both artistically and in game play. It does a great job at being almost mediocre.

#301935 Nintendo Searching for Lead Graphics Architect - The Future Awaits

Posted by BrosBeforeGardenTools on 05 November 2014 - 02:36 AM

I guess. If the next generational leap is as big as this last one then I can't see it getting much better though.

As soon as system power becomes negligible, I think it might actually work in Nintendo's favor. I could be wrong though...

2.5 hours left... Is it typically best to view the Directs through Nintendo's own site? I use to do that, but sometimes I get disconnected.

I usually prefer YouTube although i did not have any problems on NIntendo's site last stream

Description of Duties

Nintendo Technology Development is looking for a lead graphics architect in the system-on-chip architecture group in Redmond, WA. The group is responsible for the architecture of Nintendo’s game console SoCs. The graphics architect plays a key role in determining the SoC architecture. The job responsibilities are:
  • Evaluate HW graphics (GPU) offerings from SoC solutions available in the market based on performance, power, and silicon area.
  • Evaluate the performance of the SoC solutions for both proprietary and standard graphics APIs.
  • Determine workloads and simulation models for both performance and power characteristics of GPUs.
  • Keep track of GPU architectural improvements in the industry and devise strategies to incorporate them for future Nintendo gaming platforms.
  • Act as the graphics architectural evangelist working with global Nintendo teams for future and on-going programs.
  • Work with external SoC vendors as the Nintendo focal point for graphics GPU architecture.
  • Should be prepared to work through architecture, design, validation, and bring-up stages of SoC design in cooperation with internal and external teams.
  •

We all know Nintendo (Sony, MS) are always researching and developing future products, just as any tech company. This certainly validates that. It will be interesting to see what comes of this in some years down the road when Wii U and New 3DS production stops.

What do you think Nintendo will do for it's next console? Will Nintendo keep backward compatibility? Will it be a home console/handheld all in one?
