Nintendo hasn't backed down from the Wii U name yet, and considering it's spent the last year embedding it into our collective conscious, it would be risky to switch gears so close to launch. If Nintendo does re-brand its Wii U successor, we suspect the “Wii” prefix will make it through the to final round.

They sold too many Wii units for all of the sudden change the name.  Did you guys see Sony changing the Playstation name... No.  It's already in the fabric of pop culture, it would be stupid to change the name now.  We'll just have to get used to it, just as we did with the Wii.

I'm an Architect in training from Puerto Rico and I've been a gamer ever since my dad brought home my first NES (the one with Gyromite and Rob). Yes... I'm that old! Anyways, I've never been too active on forums but the Wii U is definitely becoming more and more of a huge step forwards for Nintendo and I'm hoping to find out more on its development and to make my own opinions about it. Also would like to know people like me, usually without time to game because of grown-up responsibilities. But in general, I like to keep my point of view from a designer's stand point and as a longtime Nintendo fan.

Props for developing such a site for Wii U and hope it kicks ass!
