Ive been thinking for the past several days over the drought of Wii U news and am now thinking about canceling my pre-order.
Im 80 percent NO and 20 percent YES!

( Reasons I should)
- Im missing out on Borderlands 2, LBP VITA, Resident Evil 6, Dishonored, AC:liberation and more because of the wii u
-I am basically working my job for the next 4 or 5 weeks to pay the thing off.
- No spending money in general.
- Not as much Christmas Money

(Reasons I shouldn't)
-Tons of great Nintendo games and an awesome new console.
-Already paid off Zombi U And Assassins Creed 3
-Missing out on games now but getting awesome games later.
- I can always buy the others later

Can anyone help me out here??

I won't be getting Pokemon White 2 or Paper Mario Sticker star until christmas (parents getting it). I get 20$ a week in allowance, and the reason I started doing chores is for wii u. I know. It hurts. It will pay off in the long run though.

You're asking a forum dedicated to the Wii U.

That makes even less sense than comparing those two things in the first place.

My sister and brother have the iphone 5. Its definitely a lot faster than the old 3g iphone internet wise. However, the question you should be asking is
"Do I want to play one-of-a-kind video games?" or"Do I want the convenience of a smart phone"

The iphone 5 is probably a lot more useful than a wii u and you can use it anywhere. If you are a busy person and aren't always near a computer than get the iphone 5. If you are usually home and have a computer anyways, why not get a wii U?

At the end of the day its all about what you prefer.

Oh my god before you got to the nsbu part I thought you were going to go on a mother dogy rant. Phew. And I mean 3d mario, of course. And although I love the 2d mario's style, I like how 3d changes things up every game. They've been using 'new' since 'new super mario bros' (that's what it's called, right?)

I would be dissapointed with another galaxy...I'm tired of that style. It was amazing, but I want something new.

I just wish Pikmin 3 were a launch title. I can only get one game on launch day, and for now it's going to be Scribblenauts Unlimited (and nintendo land), but if I could get Pikmin 3 there would be no question that would be the game I would buy.

I picked Hardcore, but not because I like those types of games in the Hardcore choice that you put up there. I chose it because almost all of my free time goes to gaming.

Since when have genres gotten into the mix of whether a gamer is Casual, Core or Hardcore. If you spend most of your time playing video games then you are hardcore, it doesn't matter whether there is blood in a game or if you placing down blocks on a screen. Why do companies do this now and people do this now? If any genre is supposed to be "Hardcore" I'd say it is RPGs, not shooting games with blood and gore. I say that because it takes plenty of time and dedication just to beat an RPG rather than running through an FPS in three hours. I just don't get it. It bugs me.

Yes. This is why I chose hardcore. I can spend days play pokemon, paper mario, pikmin...it's not about what game you play, but how long you play it.

After all, it is nintendo. They're hardware is reliable stuff. The only system I've heard stories of breaking is the DSi, probably just because my friends are clumsy. XD

If you've pre ordered the console, than you shouldn't worry about getting there early. Unless you want to be the first and/or get home faster. I'm leaving at 5:00PM for my GameStop just because I want to get home faster ( plus it's nice being there early in my opinion). If you haven't pre ordered, than yes you should worry.

Yeah, then I probably won't be going to a midnight launch. Sorry for all the questions, but how did you know your gamestop is having a midnight launch? I heard they weren't going to. Or did you just call and ask? Thanks `^^

Not to mention, the week Wii U launches is usually the week of Thanksgiving break in most schools. I get to play the Wii U all week, lucky me :3. Going to the midnight launch too.

Lucky you! Do you know if those who preordered need to worry about getting there early? Also, I think I have school on Monday, Tuesday, and maybe Wednesday that week, but I definitely have Thursday and Friday off.

No kids go to midnight launches. If you do end up going you'll likely see a lot of people around 18 to 25, maybe even older. Kids have to go to school in the morning, you see.

14 And if there were a midnight launch it would be sat morning-sunday night so we wouldn't have to go to school. I might go to the midnight launch, but probably not unless I can get some friends to come with me.

Well, just think if you hadn't played it before. A new game for 10$ is pretty good. I have never played it, so I bought it and I am really enjoying it! I just beat Frank.

I like the ways the gamepad is used in nintendo land, because now when you play with 3 people in total the screen doesn't have to split into 4, someone can just take the gamepad.

I've been wanting to get a new "toy" because I'm tired of the current consoles.  I'm considering getting either a Vita or a Wii U.  It seems like Nintendo might be in serious trouble though because the Wii U isn't selling and they've made some serious errors with the Wii U (like the name).  It seems a lot of consumers don't even realize that the Wii U is a new system that requires new games etc.  

 

Would like to hear from people that currently have a Wii U and if you regret the purchase or not.  

not really because I know good games will come. although it isn't very fun yet.

To clarify, A sleeper hit is one no one expects to do well or be fun, but it ends up blowing people away. A bust is exactly the opposite, it is one that people Expect to do well but ends up flopping.

its kind of frustrating to me when people say Zombi U will be a sleeper, when it is the most hyped launch game, And when people say that farming simulator is a bust when everyone expects it to do poorly.

Yes, I agree.

zombiu can't be a sleeper hit because it's the most anticipated wii u game.
Mario can't because it's mario.
nintendoland might count, but it's a pack-in which might disqualify it a little.

Obviously the graphics are too good for 3ds. I'm hoping it's a good wii u game. I really like the graphic style, it looks beautiful.

I wish that was real. It's better than the real box art, but it is very obviously fake because nintendo has already confirmed the blue one.
