#167821 Mario Kart: Arcade GP DX by Nintendo/Namco

Posted by MiyamotosMom on 06 February 2013 - 04:27 PM in Wii U Games and Software

What is everybody talking about? They have the machines in America. They have them in all of my local arcades.

Apparently they did come out in America, arcades aren't prevalent in the US though so that would explain why we don't see them.

#167796 Miyamoto wishes he would have promoted the Wii U better

The rumor is that they fired their US and UK marketing agencies, which is why we are getting the very poor ads we have now.

You may have a point.
His principles are great. But he may actually be a hindrance in some cases nowadays.
Sacrilege I know.
He should be an advisor with someone one step above who is more forward thinking (not necessarily younger). Iwata is not that guy either.

Yeah, like how recently Miyamoto ruined Sticker Star. Very disappointed in the majority of things he does lately.

He's right though, to a point. PC gaming is objectively stronger than console gaming, except in the few instances of console exclusives.

#167841 Ninja Gaiden Razors Edge confirmed for PS3/360

Posted by MiyamotosMom on 06 February 2013 - 05:04 PM in General Gaming

Rayman Legends will be announced for the other consoles/PC/handhelds at E3, no doubt about it. The engine was made to make good looking games fast for all variety of hardware.

Alright, enjoy...? I'll be getting 3U on the 3DS, but I'm not going to bring it up randomly on other topics.

an exclusive game can change and go multiplat anytime.

Simply untrue. There are more factors in it.

Considering how Ninja Gaiden has changed ever since Itagaki quit, it's not too much a surprise. It does beg the question as to whether or not games like Rayman Legends will maintain exclusivity though

Anyone who thinks Rayman Legends will stay exclusive has a few screws loose, that's all I will say on that.

Thanks bud, glad we can agree to disagree.

#167864 Ninja Gaiden Razors Edge confirmed for PS3/360

If you are Bind by contract then yes a game can't be go multiplat but if not, multiplat it goes. Also please explain some of these factors then?

Contracts are the biggest ones, there are also some things on exclusive games that the developers will simply not want to try and port over to the other consoles thus there is very few chances of it going multiplat.

There is also the team's feelings towards a company, like how Falcom has given up on making Ys games for anything other than Sony at this point. There are other factors I'm not thinking of, too.

Not sure how Monster Hunter is relevant to this discussion, but okay...

#167827 Ninja Gaiden Razors Edge confirmed for PS3/360

Yeah, it seemed only a small amount of fanboys actually thought it would stay exclusive.

#167765 Anybody else excited for Dragon Quest X

Posted by MiyamotosMom on 06 February 2013 - 02:32 PM in Wii U Games and Software

Not at all. MMOs always sound good on paper but turn out very poorly, and apparently this one is no different.

#167819 What is Skylanders like?

Posted by MiyamotosMom on 06 February 2013 - 04:25 PM in Wii U Games and Software

It's a fun series, but yes expensive is the right word.

#168257 Lookout for some Wii U News Today!

Yeah, kind of sad the big news he hyped up ended up being Rayman going multiplat.

#167735 Scribblenauts Unlimited Delayed In Europe

Just get the PC version, it's better and cheaper.

#167756 Is there anyway the Durango and Orbis' price won't be over $300

Posted by MiyamotosMom on 06 February 2013 - 02:25 PM in General Gaming

The leaked specs put the console easily within the $350-400 range at launch. They could take a loss and release at $300 however.

#168303 Project Shield Borderlands 2 Demo

Posted by MiyamotosMom on 07 February 2013 - 12:08 PM in General Gaming

Miracast is NOT proprietary and NOT developed by Nintendo. Broadcom just made them a dedicated 802.11n chip for it, that's all. So honestly the Shield, using a Tegra 4, should have the same streaming capabilities if not better.

Posted by MiyamotosMom on 07 February 2013 - 12:10 PM in General Gaming

That changes my view.

Not sure if that was sarcasm, but okay.

#168296 Project Shield Borderlands 2 Demo

Posted by MiyamotosMom on 07 February 2013 - 12:03 PM in General Gaming

Yep, and since it's just got 802.11g or n, the range won't be as good and latency will be poop compared with wii u.

You do know how the Wii U's streaming works, right?

Shield uses the same thing, as it has a TEGRA chip which has enhanced miracast even further since Tegra3.

Insane, honestly more impressive than the Wii U.

#167776 Wii u

System loads extremely slow, but apparently they are fixing that soon

#168282 Project Shield Borderlands 2 Demo

Posted by MiyamotosMom on 07 February 2013 - 11:40 AM in General Gaming

It's for those times you want to lounge about, same reason the Wii U has the streaming option really. It's just a higher quality version of that.

That's when you are in the same room as the PC, with this you can (possibly) take your PC game, for example, into the restroom or the living room.

I don't see this as being used for playing in the same room, there is no point for playing on the small screen when you have a giant screen.
