#264261 Amazon Prime/Hulu not on E-Shop?

Posted by GreenPenInk on 01 January 2014 - 12:33 AM in Wii U Games and Software

I uninstalled them a while back and now when I search it tells me they aren't on the E-shop.  I can search through my downloaded software and I see them but again if I click download it brings up an error.

Anyone know what is going on? Is doing a factory reset the only way to get them back??

Reformatted it... and now I can't connect to eShop at all. Sadface. Error 107-3058 I think.

#241541 Anyone playing Splinter Cell: Blacklist

Posted by GreenPenInk on 25 August 2013 - 03:46 PM in Wii U Games and Software

How often do you load in this game? Once per mission?

#242381 Anyone playing Splinter Cell: Blacklist

Posted by GreenPenInk on 28 August 2013 - 04:27 PM in Wii U Games and Software

It loads initially on the plane which is like the hub, and then it loads the mission and then you are set until the mission is done.

So although loading is bad it's infrequent enough not to ruin the game.

 Thanks.

For someone who is itching to play a shooter and doesn't want to get one on the PC.  Will this game scratch that itch or should I wait for CoD: Ghosts?

edit:  Like if I played, I would want to be a sniper rather than the guy slitting throats, but I would slit throats when necessary.

You can play it as a shooter, although its no COD. You can stay in the shadows taking people out though if that's your thing. That's the 'panther' style of play.

 Thanks bud.

#242100 Batman Arkham Origins Wii U version - Still worth buying?

Can you post a link for me to the details of what we're missing? (anyone)

#226589 Bayonetta 2 going to appear in the Nintendo Direct

Posted by GreenPenInk on 26 June 2013 - 10:12 PM in Wii U Games and Software

You mean Platinum because that was in the first game. Actually I think in the first game her long hair actually merged into her outfit. Now it's short so it doesn't merge but it's still made out of her hair.

I'd be kind of choked if I was a girl. Or maybe I'm just being oversensitive.  Whatevs.  Still going to try it out most likely.  It makes my head spin a bit, hoping that's just because the trailers are full of only the most action packed sequences.

Yes, innovating with a hair cut . LOL.

 Hahahah.

#226576 Bayonetta 2 going to appear in the Nintendo Direct

Posted by GreenPenInk on 26 June 2013 - 09:20 PM in Wii U Games and Software

I heard that her magic comes from her hair and her outfit is made out of it so when she uses her magic she attacks with her hair so her outfit comes apart...or something. I haven't played the first game either.

lol'd for real. That's the most amazing explanation for gratuitous boobage in a game I've ever heard.  Thumbs up Nintendo.

Um.  I haven't played the first one.  And just yesterday saw my first trailer for the game.  Does Bayonetta periodically lose her clothes when she does special moves?

In the first game yes, and I do believe that had made it over in some form to Bayo 2, but this time with short hair  :D

Hahah what the. I guess Nintendo is always innovating.

#226588 Blizzard's Hearthstone Wii U

Posted by GreenPenInk on 26 June 2013 - 10:05 PM in Wii U Games and Software

Blizzard has never implemented Play to win models before, have they? Sure, they've offered cosmetic items in WoW, but those are irrelevant.

I feel like they ruined Diablo 3 with their real money AH.  I didn't mind that it existed.  They just ruined all the fun parts of the game for players trying to milk it.  They could have went for a happy medium and in the long run made more money IMO.  Even though that video talks about getting back to their roots Blizzard is a colossus that is as evil as EA now. :)

Looks like a lot of fun.  I played Elements a lot a couple years ago.  I wonder if Blizzard would be able to stop themselves from turning this into a strictly cash cow franchise though.  I feel like at some point they'd start charging for single cards etc. and then it would be pay to win and not fun anymore.

#225889 Club Nintendo Platinum

Posted by GreenPenInk on 24 June 2013 - 10:44 PM in General Gaming

I'm currently sitting 220 coins away from platinum status for the year and am planning on getting Lego City Undercover in the near future that would give me +50 coins, I could download Yoshi's Island for 30¢

giving me another +10 coins, I'm on the fence about Luigi U which would be another +40 coins leaving me at 120 coins remaining.

Has anyone heard any rumours of the rewards for gold/platinum this year?  If it were you would you make the push to platinum status?  I'd probably buy some Wii games if I was to go for it sadly it seems there's no way I'd be able to find a new Xenoblade with the #pin which would be the #1 game I'd want.

Yeah, I'm getting the vibe I should just save my money. My OCD will give me a tough time for the next week but I think I'll make it.

I'm stoked to see the new list of items that will be available to purchase.  Hopefully they're worth it for you two BSC/Goku seems you both have a huge hoard of coins.

#226575 DICE: Frostbite 3 engine could be scaled for Wii U

Posted by GreenPenInk on 26 June 2013 - 09:18 PM in Wii U Hardware

Honestly, if you want a Halo killer on the Wii U, Nintendo will need a new IP. And I believe Miyamoto is working on that game. He has said in the past he wants to make a First Person Shooter. A "Halo" killer from him would be AMAZING. Hopefully he is working on said game and we will see it soon. But he is busy helping all of Nintendo make better games and teaching the young developers. Which is important too.

Ahhh. Things like this make me want to just fast forward one year.  I feel like the difference in mood on a forum like this between now and next Christmas is going to be crazy.

We'll win them back. In a perfect world this would just mean they only wanted to do make games for the Wii U when they could do it right and maximize it's potential. However, I get the feeling this just means once Wii U sales hit a certain threshold they'll put out rainbowty ports.

#230036 Disney Infinity Trailer - Best Trailer I've Seen In A Long Time

Posted by GreenPenInk on 08 July 2013 - 07:17 PM in Wii U Games and Software

It looks like it's a lot of fun but only if you invest a lot of time into the game.  If you can download things other people have created and play through their levels then I'd definitely be interested.

#225648 E3 and the Gamepad

Posted by GreenPenInk on 23 June 2013 - 08:57 PM in E3 2013 Archive

I wish I could remember which article it was and even so it was nothing concrete but it was mentioned their Zelda U will make full of use of the gamepad and be fully integrated in every part of the game.  Nothing but talk at this point but it's possible they're not showing off the gamepad until they have a flagship game (or two) with which to show it off.  I'm also of the opinion unless there's a meaningful, fun and intuitive way to incorporate the gamepad into the software just let it function as a second screen/helpful utility.  Not every game needs to use it for the sake of using it.  Let it build up some momentum and show off it's functionality so developers are tempted to use it rather than feel forced to use it as an afterthought just because it's part of the system.

#225847 E3 and the Gamepad

Posted by GreenPenInk on 24 June 2013 - 04:16 PM in E3 2013 Archive

I think it would be cool to have a mini-game(s) for off-TV use....just kind of a bonus-doesn't have to be anything major.

I think a feature like that would be good in instances like crafting in an MMO where usually it's a horribly boring time sink watching progress bars while you're stuck at a crafting station.
