#294365 Wii U sales

Posted by genev on 28 July 2014 - 08:04 AM in Wii U News

I don't know about NA, but in Europe the preorders for Bayonetta are average,in contrast to Hyrule Warriors, but pretty decent if you take into consideration that an official release date hasn't been announced yet.

As a feminist I can say that these feminist-activists are ridiculous. Instead of trying to promote female equality, they show their boobs and try to steal the champions league cup. These ''measures'' just make feminists look like assholes and honestly have no real effect. If all these female organisations and activists groups gave money to educate women about their rights, many women would live in better conditions. But no they only think they do is to burn their bras in public! Such a great way to promote women's rights <_<

So much this. I respect women and think everyone should be threated equally but some feminists are completely ridiculous. Also a lot of these "feminists" just want to make the point across that they think women are in fact superior to men, what is not the true purpose of feminism.

When I hear about extreme feminist groups I always think of PETA. They have some pretty good ideals like animals should be treated with love and respect, animals which are for consumption should live in humane conditions, people who torture or kill animals should be punished but what do they do to promote all these? They sue Nintendo for pokemon!!!!! For God's sake, it's just so ridiculous!!!

I meant that the ones you mentioned are the only wireless, so you either buy them or buy wired headphones.

#294402 HeadSet out there?

Really? they are the only wireless universal headphones on the market? that seems impossible

Officially yes. Maybe some others will work, but someone has to try it.

This is my senior year -yay.!! Unfortunately, in Greece you don't choose your classes, there are specific subjects that you have to take based on your pathway and subjects that everyone has to take. This year I have:

1)Physics

2)Further Physics(P)

3)Maths(E)

4)Further Maths(P)

5)Modern Greek

6)Ancient Greek

7)Management(P)

8)Economics(P)

9) Basic Programming(P)

9)History

10)Religion

11)Literature

12)English

13)Biology

14)P.E

I give all the pathway (P) subjects, the elective one (E) and modern Greek during Panhelllenic examination, which is the examination that gets you into university and all the others within school in order to graduate :)

#294643 super smash online

Posted by genev on 31 July 2014 - 01:13 PM in Wii U Games and Software

Thought I should also mention Brawl's online being cut off wasn't directly Nintendo's fault.

Really? Whose fault was then? I'm asking because I don't know.

#294290 Power supply dead again

Posted by genev on 27 July 2014 - 12:39 PM in Wii U Hardware

I found out that Wii U power supply is universal so I went and bought one for 400SDG(40USD) and now it works perfectly.
Thank you guys so much

It's not universal. Except if you bought a 3rd party one and not an official.

Ah ok my mistake. Yeah I thought it was AC now. Be insane for anyone to use DC anymore.

Exactly ; insane. A low amperage in AC won't kill you whereas in DC will. lol

#294372 First Gameplay from Platinum Games' The Legend of Korra

It would be so cool if it was in the wii u. It could totally take advantage of motion controls and the gamepad. Now I have to buy it on pc :/

#294360 Power supply dead again

Posted by genev on 28 July 2014 - 03:44 AM in Wii U Hardware

Well that's weird cause it says Made by Nintendo

The nintendo adapter isn't universal like apple's, it just has some parts that work in 220-240.

that is not what I'm referring to. I'm referring to this end:
attachicon.gifIMG_20140727_171421.jpg
This connecter I expect is the same on ALL Wii Us no matter the country, and although the power brick itself may be different for each country, they will all output the exact same DC voltage and amps as the Wii U wants.

And I was definitely not referring to DC being in the walls. AC has been used for electrical infrastructure since the beginning because DC can't travel long distances without deteriorating quickly, but DC has always been required for electronics.

The output is the same, but the adapter will fry if the volts are higher than the ones required or not work properly if they're less. That's why if you buy an official Nintendo adapter from the country you live, you'll have no problem.

#294258 Power supply dead again

The only thing you can do is import one from ebay :/. Unfortunately,  european (official) adapters are only sold by each country's Nintendo. So you'll have to buy an american one and a transformer.

Some countries use different plugs with different voltage.

I'm not sure PAL uses DC anymore think they use AC now.

US,China,Japan and others use this

iluFjLI0JY6Rz.jpg

Europe uses this

Only UK and Ireland uses this. The majority of European countries use a two pole ( two vertical pins) plug. Also, in Europe we use AC.

#294630 Super Mario 3d World

Posted by genev on 31 July 2014 - 12:03 PM in Wii U Games and Software

I'd buy a physical disc online. You can get it new for $48. And when you're done playing it you can probably resell it on Ebay for around $40.

Eshop I'm guessing is still at $60 but don't quote me on that.

Also I've always thought 3D World looked awesome. Haven't gotten around to playing it but this thread got me thinking about buying it again.

The OP is from Europe, so no way he can buy the game for 48$(35€). I bought it for 45€(60$), but it was on sale, full price is 60€(80$) in almost every European country and in some others even more because it's a very popular title .

#294587 Super Mario 3d World

It does half, if you get the deluxe edition you'll get acces to Nintendo Network Premium. Regestering and linking accounts allows you to save up points. For every 500 points you get a €5 eShop code. Every €1 equals to 8 points, which is weird as I seem to be getting a point for every €1 (need to check this out).It

I know it but it's different than the US one.

#294593 Super Mario 3d World

It's unfair that physical copies don't count :(

#294542 Super Mario 3d World

Posted by genev on 30 July 2014 - 02:17 PM in Wii U Games and Software

I don't know if they do this for your side of the pond but in the US anyone who buys a WiiU deluxe system gets the DDP which is a promo for every 60$ you spend on WiiU games digital or physical you get 5$ off. Even the free games like Platinum Rewards of MK8 count towards that 5$ off. So while 3D world is full price think of it this way it goes to knock 5$ off your next Eshop purchase. The promo goes on forever to.

This promo doesn't apply to europe.

#294300 NES Remix 1 & 2 combo pack for NA

Posted by genev on 27 July 2014 - 02:31 PM in Wii U Games and Software

I can say we were lucky about wii games, but 3ds ones? Not so lucky. I had to buy an American 3ds to play rune factory 4 and SMTIV( a European release hadn't been announced when I got it).

P.S Xenoblade really rocks, Last Story and Pandora's tower could be better  :P
