#294648 GEN2GEN

Posted by genev on 31 July 2014 - 01:32 PM in The Museum

Exactly. When I buy a game I buy it because I want to play it, not because it may be collectible in the future. I want to enjoy it not to have it in a show case ;)

#295160 Gamestop checkout problem

Posted by genev on 06 August 2014 - 07:44 AM in The Café

So I want to buy a gift for for a friend who lives in USA from gamestop. When I try to checkout and go to billing address, there's no option for my country. Has anyone tried buying sth from gamestop with a European paypal? I'm so sad that I can't buy my friend's birthday gift :(. Any help would be appreciated :)

Thank you guys. But I wanted to ask where do you buy your games if not from gamestop (excluding amazon and ebay)?

#295236 Gamestop checkout problem

Posted by genev on 07 August 2014 - 01:10 AM in The Café

That's the thing tho. Gamestop "guts" new games puts the case on display and the disc in the drawer. Employees are allowed to take that new game home and play it for up to 4 days. They bring the game back and it's put back in the drawer and will still be sold as new. Also some stores like ours had a shrink wrap machine in the back. So had some used sold as new "sealed" games.

You're kidding me lol!!!. Nice policy. Thanks for the warning. Because I'll visit USA on September and I was thinking of buying games from there.

I haven't bought w101 yet ,but I'm really looking forward to playing it. I hope it's challenging enough! I love action games that combine strategy elements. Also, you look much younger, if you hadn't said your age I would have guessed that you're about 27.

P.S How many games do you have back there?

#293955 Wii U update version 5.1.0 out now

Posted by genev on 22 July 2014 - 10:14 AM in Wii U News

The downloads are tied to the NNID and the NNID is tied to the console. If something happens e.g your console breaks, you send it to your country's Nintendo and they have the way to transfer the NNID to another console ;)

I agree it's not the best solution, but at least it is one.

#286748 Hello from Greece! :)

Posted by genev on 27 May 2014 - 01:54 AM in Introduction Central

Hi everybody! :D

I've just found this forum and I can say I'm impressed. My first nintendo console was a wii, which I've really enjoyed playing. I also have a 3ds and a wii u. I still haven't started playing it (the wii u), because there is a problem. It was a birthday present from relatives who live in USA. USA version comes with a 110 V adapter, while in Europe we use 220 V. What can I do so the console won't burn? Does the adapter have the problem or the console? I mean can the console work on 220 V? I'm very confused with this power-voltage issue. <_<

Any help would be appreciated.

Yes I live in Greece Nilo7 :D. About my wii u problem, I bought an official adapter for both the console and the gamepad and they work just fine, but I haven't played a lot due to school exams. I'm so excited to play MK8 !!!!

#298365 Club nintendo 3ds promotion (Europe)

Posted by genev on 11 September 2014 - 09:01 AM in General Gaming

Nintendo of Europe has run a number of promotions in recent years that aim to reward customers with free retail downloads; that trend is continuing as we head towards the end of 2014. This time around the promotion is all about the 2DS / 3DS, which is ideal for those picking up new hardware or have simply forgotten — until now — to register their system on Club Nintendo.

There'll be seven games, from which you can choose one freebie, but let's start with what you need to register on Club Nintendo to qualify:

  • A 2DS / 3DS / 3DS XL, registered between 11th September 2014 and 12th January 2015 (23:59 local time)
  • Register a copy of Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS (released on 3rd October), or Pokémon Omega Ruby / Pokémon Alpha Sapphire (both released on 28th November) with Club Nintendo between 3rd October 2014 and 12th January 2015 (23:59 local time), and fill out the software registration survey – a required action if the copy of the game is purchased at retail, and is likely also necessary if you buy these games via the eShop..
  • Fulfilling both of those criteria will allow you to choose one of the following seven games on 3DS for free.

  • Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate
  • The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds
  • Yoshi's New Island
  • Kirby: Triple Deluxe
  • Mario Golf: World Tour
  • Mario Party: Island Tour
  • Pokémon Art Academy
  • Source: Nintendolife

    I'm so happy I haven't registered my new 3ds xl's code :)
