Lack of advertising seems to have been a big problems for the Wii U, i know loads and loads of people who don't even realise its a new console.  Over the last 6 months i've seen more with Mario 3D and MK8, but it seems a little late now, should have done this like 2 years ago.

They closed the Wii servers?  Damn, didn't know that, seems weird seeing as its still so widely used, maybe it was an attempt to push Wii U sales.

Take it you can't connect to the internet on Wii games through the Wii U's Wii mode either then?

I think the only games I ever played online were MK and Brawl anyway, and since they both have (or are soon to have in the case of Smash) Wii U versions i guess that doesn't matter.

Howdy, i'm Paul.  Just thought i'd join up cause it can be difficult to find people to talk about Wii U stuff on a general gaming forum and this place seems active with a nice design.

I fancy myself a bit of a writer, mainly sci-fi and post-apocalyptic but I'll give anything I fancy a try.

Kinda cool, makes sense especially since how overpriced the eShop is, maybe i'll actually get this at some point now.
