#310887 Jimquistion - How Hyrule Warriors Does DLC Right

Posted by GarrettReznor on 23 March 2015 - 12:21 AM in Wii U Games and Software

I have to strongly disagree with Son edo. Hyrule Warriors was a great example of additional payable content that enhanced the games experience while adding to it while also not forcing it on you as it ultimately felt more like a preference thing vs cod games where your more so forced to buy the dlc to keep up with everyone else. Mario kart 8 does it the best. Pikmin 3 is the only game where I felt they purposely left content out just to create dlc fortunately it was cheap enough where I wouldn't fault them completely. Should super smash bros wii u copy the same formula Mario kart 8 had for dlc( not including the mewtwo thing)?

That's what I figured. YAAHHH! Xenoblade chronicles x and now this. Some promising and conventional Japanese rpgs coming to to the wii u!
Wow thanks for posting the picture. That even further illustrates the fact that this game was indeed created with the wii u in mind. I also remember a pokemon video a while ago with a sneak peek of what would later be pokken tournament. I'm going to find it and post it for you guys.

Ah ok I've definitely watched that trailer before. I'm just a little confused what kind of game will this be? An RPG or is it a fighter like super smash bros?!

I apologize ahead of time if this forum already exists though I searched.
I personally believe that at this year's E3 Nintendo will officially announce the future release of pokken tournament for the wii u. Everywhere I've read, the general feel is that it's destined for a wii u release. Graphically it looks on par with Nintendos AAA games and Bandai, the ones who helped develop super smash bros wii u is behind the development of pokken tournament furthering my belief. I've also read that it's first release on the arcades is more of a trial/beta to see what works and doesn't work as far as making additional changes to the "wii u" version. Am I being to hopefull here?

Animal crossing and metriod prime would be an awesome addition for the wii u. What is SMF? I am personally hopping for a F Zero game but I fear it's not going to happen for the wii u.

My Wii u games include( Pikmin 3,Zelda Wind waker HD, Super smash bros, Mario kart 8,super Mario 3d world and zeldas hyrule Warriors) super Mario Galaxy 2,punchout, and metriod prime trilogy via wii u shop.
I'm incredibly excited to join this community and hope to meet some fellow Nintendo lovers. I bought the wii u almost a year ago with a small level of skepticism but am so glad I did. Wii u is hands down my favorite console to date, and I've owned/own( ps2-4,360,gamecube, n64. My roommate and I play my wii u over his ps4 9/10 times with his remarks being how underrated the wii u is and why aren't there more games that feature local( split/shared screen) coop/multi-player games.
I'm stoked for the new zelda, star Fox, Splatoon, Yoshis woolly world( not sold yet if I'll buy it and of course xenoblade chronicles x.
Who agrees or believes with me that at this year's E3 Nintendo will officially announce the future release of pokken tournament for the wii u!?!
