As the title says, I have work all day those three days and I really want to be able to go back and watch all of the livestream content at a later date. Is there a way to watch all 3 days of livestreaming after the streams are over? any help you guys could give tracking down a source to watch it from would be great!

I have a hard time figuring out where to start on my counterargument, so I'm going to just cut to the chase by calling you a derogatory term for a person with inferior mental capacity while strongly advising you to obtain more information on the capabilities and limitations of emulators.

People do not understand budget to sales ratio.
The Last Story sold 200k for Xseed. People laugh at it. Xseed announces it's thier most successful game ever also a success for Mistwalker.
Fire Emblem sold over 900k for a game that only need to seel 240K to be a success.
People seem to assume any game needs to sell in the millions to be a success ort even a very good success. It's not true. Games like CoD,GTA pour half a million in and need huge sales and massive marketing. Games lke Skyrim or Bioshock Infinite despire being loaded iwth problems in finished product and devlopment get so hyped and so much put in too big to fail even when they do.
Games can sell over a million or a couple million and be a failure.

Nope, when will people stop asking for this. A new mario galaxy, it doesn't sell. No 3D mario does, if you look at the sales figures 2D mario games sell the best. This is because, and here's the shocker, it is what people know. We don't want something totally different, we want what we know. As for Metroid (and all other old games like F-zero and such), just no. These are games that would have to go through a lot off change if they want to sell it to current gamers, because they expect much more. That's why Nintendo doesn't dare touching them. Starfox 64 3D didn't sell, F-Zero is only known amongst the older gamers and metroid has been released on the GC so it hasn't been that long. Nintendo should just keep these IP's in the archives and look into new/other IP's

I don't necessarily think this list is true, but as I look at it I realize that most of the Wii U releases are actually 2015, which DOES make sense as I highly doubt Nintendo has much more planed for this year than already announced.

They can't get over the fact that the new CoD has sh!t graphics and the fact that they're copying titanfall?

Nintendo has to radically change in order for this to work.
No one is going to buy cutest Nintendo mascot stuff that does things worse than competitors or does t look and function "cool"
They will be competing against Apple and Samsung. They can beat Samsung. But will anyone be able to look past the company that Makes Kirby and see how awesome their product is?
The answer is actually YES. But... Only if they radically re image. New faces, new marketing, new strategy, way new industrial design. Massive investment in areas like software dev teams, server farms, machine tooling equipment, etc.
It's a cutthroat world now. You've got companies like apple innovating even in areas that aren't theirs-like creating new tools to make smaller components which in turn yield thinner products, etc. then you've got companies like Samsung who steal your tech and largely get away with it. And since Nintendo is japsnese and Samsung is Korean that would get real bad real quick (.look up the history between these nations).
Nintendo is in real danger of just becoming a "me too" company if they aren't careful. And as Microsoft and Nokia are finding out, there isn't room for they strategy anymore.
But Nintendo has never been a me too company. The only problem with that is they sometimes create a worse product just to be different.
If they can really make a go, reinvent (while retaining the good stuff), and reorganize in order to produce superior products that people want and possibly need, go for it.
But it's difficult seeing the current staff as competent for such a thing.
Iwata is good. He's trying to be flexible, open, and visionary. At the sane time he lacks vision. Noes the time for him to surround himself with people that can bolster his goals.
Looking forward to see what results.
Huh. You know, after reading Iwata's goals and your post I realized something. Nintendo sees them in the videogame space for the long haul. Microsoft and Sony have other divisions that can swallow losses when launching new hardware. They are a much bigger company than purely videogames, and that is what has allowed them to have the cash and resources to make good, higher spec gaming machines. Microsoft and Sony are bigger companies with a diverse range of products that allow them to afford it, and Iwata wants Nintendo to be the same way, but with different products. From what I'm gathering, he wants Nintendo to be seen as THE entertainment company 10-15 years from now. There were rumors of a Nintendo theme park a while back. This QOL thing. Nintendo could be looking for other sources of income so they can throw the kind of money into gaming machines that the other two companies are.
I'll be the first to admit this is of course slightly too optimistic, but it kind of makes sense.

Yeah....I kinda hope they ease off the tons and tons of teeny tiny quests in exchange for less yet more involved side quests.
I agree. I want to see more side quests more involved with the fleshing out the story and deeper characters developed in the side quests. The world is massive though.
I'll be curious to see how they use next gen power for things like that other than graphics!! Though those are looking like they are shaping up to be fantastic as well.

You're expecting way too much from Nintendo if that's what you want to see.
Just because I want to see it doesn't mean I think it's going to happen. And it's not too much to ask for, they just don't see they need to be doing it.

I'll be happy if they get Project CARs to get up on STAGE for them and talk about the game on the Wii U console. on top of that, they need the full reveal of Monolith Soft's new game, a reveal of Zelda/Metroid, Smash Bros, and a few third party surprises.

I just want them to expand Retro to where it is the size of EAD and is working on 3-4 western games at a time. It would be a slow process, but that is where I'd like to see them end up.

Well, thats what happens when you have stupid people targeting Nintendo for frivolous lawsuits like 'My child was attacked by an online predator via pictochat on ds!!!!!'* BECAUSE of that family image, and places like fox and abc news running with it full speed with not a single attempt at fact checking.
* (Pictochat DS was non online capable.)
This is a reaction to things people have done.
All Nintendo has to do is have people sign an agreement before they start using it saying that Nintendo is not liable for inappropriate conduct but they are actively trying to stop it blah blah blah and people have to agree with it before using the service. How do Sony and Microsoft handle it?

guys, it's simple really. Nintendo has dug themselves into a hole and they need to dig themselves out of it, not pretend it doesn't exist.
E3 is actually pretty straightforward:
1) controller redesign
2) cross game chat announced
3)improved Miiverse
4) 2/3rds of time spent on games needs to be spent on 3rd party (Mighty No. 9, Project CARS, other bigger titles that are third party that the Wii U actually has and can be hyped up (not indies)) This is to start giving the correct impression that the Wii U has a library outside of nintendo content.
5) opening presentation with full reveal of Monolith Soft's X and closing the show with Zelda announcement. (Metroid Prime or F-Zero announced/teased a swell)
Once E3 is over, nintendo needs to make sure that the stuff they talk about is other developers games 2/3rds of the time in Nintendo Directs and youtube videos, etc. They need to start securing releases of games like Star Citizen and Kingdom Come Deliverance, racing games, and just going after every gaming market that isn't first person shooter and EA Sports addicts.
They do need to slowly build their way to where they have those games, and need to talk about the multiplatform support and games they do have. and constantly be reminding people that they have 80% of the games the other two consoles have, and then their exclusive stuff as well. That's all it really takes, hype your system, release new and better features for it constantly, and lavish the third party support you have with praise and attention. Notice how these are things that 1) Nintendo can do really easily in their own way and 2) Sony and Mircisoft already do with their system. and 3) notice how nintendo doesn't have to change any of their game development philosophies in the slightest. So they aren't really changing that much.

Anyone else feel when MK8, Super Smash, Bayonetta 2 and new Zelda drops the Wii U will be reborn?
Sales might not take off as much as Nintendo would like but still, I see Wii U selling more than Gamecube despite peoples low expectations.
While I agree with you, I really can't get over the fact that they haven't included cross-game chat yet. I've played my 360 for many hours with my friends online and I realized that I can't get the same experience playing the games I'd prefer to play.

anyone here think Miyamoto would make a good president?
Sakurai. He knows the gamer, He's got a vision and works tirelessly to achieve it. Appreciates the PS4, but understands how Nintendo does things to set themselves apart. He could blend the stuff Nintendo needs to be taking from the PS4 and One and combine it with the good and unique stuff at Nintendo to make awesome stuff happen.
Though he does need to be able to prove himself on a business side I suppose.

Sounds like a perfect match. I also played a couple of Harry Potter games on the original Xbox (made by EA possibly?) that were pretty darn good.
yeah, The first couple Harry Potter games for Sorcerer's stone and chamber of secrets are pretty good. And so was Quidditch World Cup if I remember correctly. Side note- I always wondered why EA Sports didn't take Quidditch World Cup and turn it into a yearly sporting franchise for Harry Potter fans like they do with Madden and FIFA? they'd have every fan of the series in their pockets.
But yeah, the early Harry Potter games were actually really good, and the handheld ones made for some great turn based RPG gaming. I'd love to be able to do grind a party of my favorite wizards or just go on solo missions with Harry. (If you did a game where you played through an 85 hour long JRPG length format, you could open the game up from freely exploring Hogwarts onto other areas of the Wizarding world as Harry gets in to later years at Hogwarts etc.)

Seriously guys, What do you think? Harry Potter 1-3 got turn based RPGs on the gameboy color/advance and I honestly thought they were the best Harry Potter games I've ever played. The gameplay was probably the most solid I've seen in a licensed game like that ever. A game that actually got the budget and talent behind it could be an awesome way to experience Harry Potter's world.
Let me know what you think! Especially if you have played any of the games wishing you could have a good Harry Potter game!

these updates need to actually have new features for the OS patched in, What the heck is Nintendo using their resources on if not this? I swear Iwata is so hung up on the fitness and Wii sports/fit/etc franchises that all he can see are those and his new QOL personal project. I want to at least know WHY we aren't getting new features on the system and where that time is actually going.

Well he seems more game centric than the last moron so it should only be a good thing.
Wonder if he was in charge in the first place the console would have better specs, make stupid Kinect optional and focus on games from the start.
I agree with everything you said, except making Kinect optional. I've seen one in action, I've even watched it sign me in at my friend's house the second I walk into the room based on it's picture of me it has for recognition. I've watched and even just talked to the TV and seen it do exactly what I want it to. Kinect is WORTH the extra $100 and being slightly weaker. It's not being used in the same way the one on 360 was. It's there to supplement, not be the controller.
Honestly, I hope Spencer can get Microsoft's internal game studios up to Nintendo and Sony standards as far as exclusives and IPs that give the console an identity of it's own. Only internal studios at Microsoft will be able to use the Kinect effectively as an enhancement of a game in a way that feels natural. As someone who has seen it in action, I'm a huge proponent of Kinect, though I would like a little more assurance from Microsoft that I'm not being spied on.
