#20592 Would you buy additional Wii U controllers?

Posted by Metroid on 11 August 2011 - 10:32 AM in Wii U Hardware

I would buy another Wii U controller if a good co-op game was going to get released on the Wii U.

#20594 Wii U Wishlist

Super Mario 64 2 for the Wii U. With co-op maybe (2nd player play as Luigi)?
They were going to make it for the 64DD if it didn't get released so late. And it would also have co-op mode, and Luigi would be playable...
It happened that I like SM64. I like Galaxy too, but I rather want to walk on one planet instead of 200 planets.

A completely new Super Mario game would also be fine.

#20595 FZero (WiiU) ideas & opinions thread

Posted by Metroid on 11 August 2011 - 11:14 AM in Wii U Games and Software

I think Nintendo is waiting to make it on their next home console (which is Wii U). I wouldn't want to try to play F-Zero Wii with a wiimote and the wheel from Mario Kart Wii attached to it. I rather want to play F-Zero with a button controller (like the Wii U's controller).

F-Zero Wii U will get released, It's just a matter of time.

As you can see, my name on this forum is Metroid.

I like video games. I've played many games, both good and hidden gems.
I like to play on my guitar, I do play on it often to replay some good music from good games. What I most like about games is their music. Sonic is one of the games that always have good music, no matter how bad the game is.
I have many favourite franchises, (Paper) Mario, Zelda, Kirby, Metroid, Pikmin, Sonic, F-Zero, Star Fox, Super Smash Bros etc. Most of them is from Nintendo and parts from Sega.

Right now I'm waiting for Skyward Sword. I think it'll be a very, very good game. I'm talking about "Ocarina of Time" or "Majora's Mask" kind of good.

The game that I've finished the most times must be Paper Mario for the N64. It's the best.

And that's it. =D

Welcome aboard mate. I'm Lord N, the Forum's resident Pokemon nut, and I hope you'll have a great time here.
I'll think we'll get along quite nicely.
2 questions though:
1. Why do you Claim the original Paper Mario is the best? I thought it was universally decided that TTYD was the best :P
2. Why did you not mention Windwaker level of good?

1. It's because the bosses are more epic(and have also very good music), it's very charming, and it was simpler. Kind of like comparing Mario Golf and Mario Golf Toadstool Tour. I also like TTYD very much, it's just that Paper Mario just have that... "it" that I like :). I also like the nemesis in the game: Jr. Troopa. He just never gives up.

2. It has a different overworld that I don't like very much... And those looooooong rides with the King of Red Lions, I'll always remember that part of the game. The story is okay, the gameplay is fun, and the dungeons are also fun. I just have something against the sea part in the game... Everything else is good. But I love everything with OoT and MM. And that's the reason I didn't mention WW ^_^

Feel free to ask more questions if something seems unclear.

And thanks everyone for the welcoming! :D

#20732 4 Controllers?

Posted by Metroid on 12 August 2011 - 01:59 AM in Wii U Hardware

It's been already said it supports only 2 consoles. I'll find the sources later.

Did you mean controllers or did you really mean consoles? Does only 2 consoles supports 4 Wii U controllers? I'll wait for the correction.

But I still hope that the Wii U console supports 4 Wii U controllers. If it's only 2 controller support, then we're back to the SNES age, well... not really. It still apparently (and sadly?) support Wiimote (with Nunchuck) to play mutiplayer with.

I deleted my sig with my eraser I had, it's now on the top of a tree, which is flat.

What will happen the day before yesterday?

Hey there, another musician that likes sonic. We may become to know each other well if you decide to stay here.

Anyway, im superdarkyoshi the eh....darkest Yoshi. Also a guitar player and writer/poet. I am a fan of sonic, I haven't played any of his newest games yet but think generations might be good. How long have you been playing guitar and what's your favorite genre of music? I happen to like blues. Anyway, read the rules and ask questions if you have them. Enjoy the stay

I've been playing guitar for 1 year and 9 months now. I still have much to learn, but I'm getting better at playing guitar for every month that goes. I'm playing guitar about 30h/week.

I don't really have any specific/favourite genre. I like many, but limited kinds of music. I can name some genres that I like. Which is 80s rock, instrumental, blues, acid rock, electro, and video game music.

Do you happen to like rock / being able to listen to rock? =/

Hello there! It's great to meet a fellow musician! :)
I also looove the music aspect of video game. I happen to play the piano and I currently am a piano major at my college. I'm more into video game and classical music. Why classical music? Well...you'll eventually grow to like it if you're forced to play classical music for 5 years, so yeah. xD I wish I can play guitar though, I'm horrible at it, even though I do own an acoustic guitar. Well...keep up with your music endeavor. :) I'm always supportive of fellow musicians!

So tell me, who are you favorite video game composers? :3

Few random info about it: I'm a yoshi fangirl. Do not mind my Kirby avatar...it is just my "temporary" fanbase at the moment after playing kirby games for the entire summer. Of course, I play various other Nintendo games as well.

That's a hard question... I like many video game composers. But if I have to choose one, it would be Yuka Tsujiyoko.

Hey, I happened to play Yoshi's Story a few days ago. Trying to get all these 30 melons in all stages. It's a difficult challenge to succeed with. I've currently finished 14 stages.
I'm also trying to finish 100% on Yoshi's Island. I'm currently on 4-3.

#20840 Rayman Origins

Posted by Metroid on 12 August 2011 - 11:53 AM in General Gaming

I've played both Rayman for the PS1 and The Great Escape for the N64 and for the 3DS (which is a port from the dreamcast version), they're great games.

I really have high hopes for this game. I think this game will be a success.
I'm also waiting for this game. Isn't it getting released in November...? =/

#20849 Do you think Nintendo should move to the iPhone?

Posted by Metroid on 12 August 2011 - 12:14 PM in General Gaming

Don't do it Nintendo, it's a trap!

But seriously, playing Mario games on iPhone isn't the same as playing it on the Nintendo's consoles. I can't see any positive at all about this "play Mario on your iPhone".
I hope that it'll never happen and I don't think it will happen. Nintendo, stick to your consoles and only your consoles. That would be wise.

#20853 What if Old School games had current sound effects?

Posted by Metroid on 12 August 2011 - 12:21 PM in General Gaming

Definitely the original sound effects.

But on the other hand... (thinking of Pac-Man's OM-NOM-NOM-NOM sound effect :P)

Do remixes count?

Sure. Wouldn't be a problem ^_^

I love every music that everyone have posted, good job! Some of them I haven't even heard before, until now. Thumbs Up for everyone, I mean it :D

#21030 What is your favorite color?

Posted by Metroid on 13 August 2011 - 01:49 AM in The Café

Mine is both Green and Black, but voted for Green :P

#21110 Zelda Wii U Art Style

Posted by Metroid on 13 August 2011 - 07:45 AM in Wii U Games and Software

I voted for Realistic style. Have played TP and seen the Zelda tech demo on the Wii U, makes me want a realistic styled Zelda game for the Wii U.
It will look very good!

#21115 My drawings

Posted by Metroid on 13 August 2011 - 08:05 AM in The Museum

I like non-colored pictures. Black and white images have a refined quality about them, without the distractions of color. I really like those pictures, Waller. They look cool, nice, and detailed. Good job!

#21407 What is your favorite Legend of Zelda game?

Posted by Metroid on 14 August 2011 - 04:22 AM in General Gaming

I've played and finished all Zelda games, believe it or not. And my favourite Zelda is MM for some reason... When I think back to the temples, they were not quite fun.
But the rest of the game is very entertaining IMO.

I think Skyward Sword will be Nr.1 on my TLoZ list when I've finished it ;)

#21499 Pikmin 3

Posted by Metroid on 14 August 2011 - 10:52 AM in Wii U Games and Software

Well yeah i know you guys obviously don't care about graphics but if you're expecting Pikmin 3 to have ultra realistic plants and enviroments or to even have large maps and more pikmin onscreen well you can just put those dreams aside cause it was developed on the Wii and all they might do is just upscale the resolution and add new controls.

How can you be so sure that Pikmin 3 won't have ultra realistic plants and enviroments or to even have large maps and more pikmin onscreen?
Nintendo didn't come far with the game before they moved the project to the Wii U. When it's time, Shigeru Miyamoto will say on Iwata Asks that
"Pikmin 3 won't be a launch title for the Wii U. We'll need more time to make Pikmin 3's graphic perfect, make everything look as realistic as possible. And making the maps more exploring. We won't be happy until that's being taken care of. (laughs)"

Iwata: (laughs)

#21795 Your Favorite Video Game Music

Just look at how many I've posted... You can post until you're satisfied :)

#21802 ROB returns?

Posted by Metroid on 15 August 2011 - 09:55 AM in Wii U Games and Software

There were only two NES games that R.O.B. was compatible with. Gyromite and Stack-Up. Though Gyromite had a catchy music that I remember. But Stack-Up is one of THE worst game ever.

R.O.B. has appeared as a cameo character in various video games, such as Kirby's Dream Land 3, the WarioWare series, the Star Fox series, the F-Zero series, StarTropics, Viewtiful Joe and his head appears in Pikmin 2, called the 'Remembered Old Buddy'. R.O.B. is also featured as an unlockable character in Mario Kart DS and Super Smash Bros. Brawl.

It shows that Nintendo have missed him.

#21813 is nintendo being cheap?

Posted by Metroid on 15 August 2011 - 10:44 AM in Wii U Hardware

I'm playing games on my home console. If Wii U doesn't doesn't have a built-in DVD Player to watch media with, it won't really bother me. When I buy the Wii U, I just want to play on it. If I need a DVD Player, I'd go and buy one.

But that's only me. Stuff like that isn't really a much of a problem for me. But it would make many gamers happy to have a that feature. And the Wii U price would also increase.
