Lets be honest, most of us havent even touched a wii u yet, it wouldnt need a genius to work out that a smaller pads the next thing. I mean every console needs a make over a few years in. And nintendo wouldnt say hey our consoles too big, yeah that white/back box that makes the gamepad work, we'll bost our revenue making the box smaller. They wud have to re-sell the gamepad

The tech available im sure would make it possible to make a smaller pad with the same screen. It almost reminds me of my old atari lynx mk 1 ! Which a few yrs later was made smaller. ( the lynx was an old hand held console by atari which unfortunatly never took off) I love the gamepad but i hope nintendo dont gives us better smallerpad a year down the road.

I keep looking at the gamepad, and as much as i like it, i cant feeling that its very big, and theres lots of plastic compared to the screen size and stick positions. Whats ur thoughts.

im really sure about the fact that with the wii u will born a huge nintendo online comunity, because the wii online infrastucture was awful , nintendo must work hard on theyr server to offer a good online service

AND OFC making first party games with online multiplayer... this one is important and for the moment they are doing it wrong with nintendo
land for example and other games

I agree simple nintendo based online games would have been a revalution

It's not a matter of launch game picking. It's a matter of whether the developers are done making the game or not. A few launch window titles may make it to the launch day date. Reggie specified on that when we saw the announcement for price and date. And just because it might be a console seller doesn't mean it will be a launch title. Super Smash Bros. Melee was a system seller and it was a launch window title.

Come on, if u were multi million dollar invester in nintendo, and they said, "black ops 2 will be available for every console but wiiu because we wud rather u bought zombiu , how quickly wud u pull ur money out

The only people comparing it is us. If u want a slightly better ps3 with no nintendo ips and $500 dolar price tag then wait.

Well sony wont be coming out with a ps4 for a long time. They are making a new slimmer slim which will cost about $299. So whenever the ps4 comes out i bet nintendo will have somethign new coming up also.

And i also read that sony is saying that there ps vita and ps3 together can do what the wii u does. The only thing with me on that is where is the proof?
The vita has been out for a while now and i dont see it working.

Right now the wiiu is in a world of its own.

Ive heard that to but does the average consumer want to buy a vita and ps3? Nintendo has given
us the two but better and half the price

I always do with a nintendo console. As a gamer (a casual one mind) im 33 now but getting the new nintendo console is something i will always do and always will, you cant beat the unboxing with a mate and both going wow at the same time at a gaming memory like "wii sports on wii or mario galaxy, or rouge squadran or need for speed underground on gamecube, or zelda oct or starfox on n64, or super mario world or f zero on snes anyway i cant wait to do the whole unboxing thing with a friend n a few beers

Theres no online multiplayer on a console thats supposed bring players together weather there alone oor not. The game looks good but screams tech demo (like red steel did) . Ubisoft threw everything into asc 3, farcry 3, just dance 4, rayman, i just get the feeling its gonna be a short lived but enjoyable game u show ur ps3 mates. Im still buying it though

anyway gc games that i loved were rouge squadran 2 and need for speed underground (the best looking driving game on any nintendo ever, all chalanges welcome ) with hd upscale which i would love to see.

If you do grab a few Wii motes make sure their Wii Remote pluses.

Im still waiting for confirmation that black ops 2 uses motion plus. If it doesnt then nintendo should have the devs executed for loss of buisness as the wii mote should be the controler of choice and as my ps3 gay boy mates (lol joke boys) like using it but but want that extra accuracy and rightly so.

Wtf are we all talking about? There are so many posts about can wii u compete with the next gen ps n xbox, the answer is "why should it, and no, because its not the same. Nintendo is bigger then both of them in gaming buisness so if they wanted to compete in the tech war im sure they cuud.!! But nintendo i feel are taking the casual gaming market seriiously by intergrating our tv and gaming market together with a controller every one can use. ( ive got a ps3 at home with love film but the controller for a non gamer like my wife is unuseable) but the tablet is attractive to her so gaming will be easier to get into for her as well as the tv side of it. So not only have i got a console capable of amazing graphics im more than happy with but my wife can use it aswell! Lol its the first console shes asked me to by.

I havent red any other comments because i absolutly love the post! Its a proper nintendo fans questition and my answer is (after a bit ot thinking) wii mote! Im not really a fps shooter guy as if i play cod or mw with my mates on a ps3 or xbox i just cant use analog sticks well enough to be good at the game. How ever i bought mw3 on the wii and using the wii mote seemed a lot more natural. Sure the graphics went as good (although i thought they were amazing for wii) but i loved it more because of the controls. I invited my mates round and i (at risk of being laughed at) put mw3 on and at first, all they said was "this looks crap" but when every body got used to the controls we sat up til 3am playing on line like we wud do at there place playing it on ps3! !! Anyway the end we all agreed that itwas fun but as motion plus wasnt utalised it was good but not acurate enough. I hope black ops 2 has motion plus support as if it did then nintendo wud instantly have 4 new customers in my friends!

I thought the new wiiu bond game looked the worst out of all the games shown last week. I know a games arnt all about looks, bond is a big franchise so if the devs only bothered to make it look like wii game, they prob didnt bother to make it play well. Lazy!

I will be the first to say the gamepad is clearly a peice of art, maybe like the ipod was????? The wii u is not just a console but the main hub for all your t.v entertainment. Which is truely genius, BUT, if you buy one for your kids in there bedrooms, wouldnt you rather they just played games on it? So a simple version with a standard pro pad still might be better for that, and cheaper still!! Any way im blown away with it and all my fears have gone, well done nintendo

Right ive just come back from holiday so ive not been keeping up with my post. First off im 33 yearss old not a kid! Secondly and ive said before ive never seen this clip of some one talking about the wii u and im not even gonna bother watching it, i just repeated what a GAME store manager told me, if u wish to say i got it from a video ive never seen then thats ur problem, im no lier and i dont no why u supposed nintendo fans would doubt my post!!!!! Im freekin pissed off and dont think ill post again as the wiiublog haters are far far worse than the ps3 and xbox trolls! I dont even care now so blah blah

Oh and now im smiling again, if u read wiiublog news it looks like a retailer is selling it for $249 which would make it aprox £199!!!!!!!

although, like i said before i think at launch retailers swill try and grab another £29.99 out of us!
