Theres no online multiplayer on a console thats supposed bring players together weather there alone oor not. The game looks good but screams tech demo (like red steel did) . Ubisoft threw everything into asc 3, farcry 3, just dance 4, rayman, i just get the feeling its gonna be a short lived but enjoyable game u show ur ps3 mates. Im still buying it though

No way. I read that nintendo looked at remaking twilight princess and skyward sword and decided this was the right one to do? All the videos ive seen do not make it look like a game that requires an hd update. Its a bit like watching the simpsons on hd tv doesnt make it look any better than standard definition because its just plain colours and outlines. The other to zeldas I mentioned earlier would have looked amazing re made. And with amazing looking new generation games coming out nintendo really should have shown off a bit with an hd zelda. It could have shifted a load of consoles

This is a tragic but funny story. My wife and I recently split up for a while (tragic bit) and I went back to my mums to stay for a while, I had to go to asda to by new bedding n stuff for the spare room I was staying in. it was a horrible day I was in tears picking up a douvet for one, even the staff felt sorry for me. After I got my bedroom stuff I thought im gonna get a new game to play to take my mind of it all so I went over to the game section and through my tear filled eyes looked for the wiiu stuff, I was stressed and upset so I asked the teenager behind the desk where the wiiu games are. He laughed and said "mate, we here at asda wouldn't stock anything for that pile od s#@t" after that I broke down in the store wanting to die lol

Lol its fine mate, looking back it was a comedy moment, unfortunately its not so funny for nintendo I think

Im still waiting for confirmation that black ops 2 uses motion plus. If it doesnt then nintendo should have the devs executed for loss of buisness as the wii mote should be the controler of choice and as my ps3 gay boy mates (lol joke boys) like using it but but want that extra accuracy and rightly so.

I havent red any other comments because i absolutly love the post! Its a proper nintendo fans questition and my answer is (after a bit ot thinking) wii mote! Im not really a fps shooter guy as if i play cod or mw with my mates on a ps3 or xbox i just cant use analog sticks well enough to be good at the game. How ever i bought mw3 on the wii and using the wii mote seemed a lot more natural. Sure the graphics went as good (although i thought they were amazing for wii) but i loved it more because of the controls. I invited my mates round and i (at risk of being laughed at) put mw3 on and at first, all they said was "this looks crap" but when every body got used to the controls we sat up til 3am playing on line like we wud do at there place playing it on ps3! !! Anyway the end we all agreed that itwas fun but as motion plus wasnt utalised it was good but not acurate enough. I hope black ops 2 has motion plus support as if it did then nintendo wud instantly have 4 new customers in my friends!

Ive always been nintendo and always will. I do however enjoy playing PS3 and XBOX with my friends, and last year i was considering buying a PS3 as the wii just didnt have enough games and big titles for it, i loved it but other than a few amazing games it just became a bit of a joke unfortunatly, i bought wiiu on day one after seeing the E3 presentation as it looked like nintendo had realised it had to step up and PROMISED to compete to win back core gamers for the next generation, but i cant help feeling they havent done that yet, and the news from certain devs about the hardware etc etc is enough to scare off potential new gamers, theres no gta, no borderlands, no battlefield, and now NO FIFA 14 so winning back the masses is not gonna happen. Its a shame Nintendo didnt give us a power house these devs need to make amazing games. Imagine top aaa titles and nintendo classics on a beast of a console? Why nintendo, why didnt you listen. I paid £350 which is a lot, im intersted to see how much PS4 will be cos looking at the tech that has it should be £600! If nintendos pricing was right that is?

after seeing xbox one presentation, i feel like thats what nintendo wanted all along, motion control, all in one, they just made a toy version of it. E3 come on nintendo please do us proud !

Ok, now ive seen the other 2 consoles and the games coming out, and ive seen the nintendo selection first and third party, it seems this gen will be won by exclusive i.p's. Im impressed with how bayonetta 2 looks, (although it did kinda look like a lot of on the rails action, which im hoping isnt the case) so im glad to see the wii u has got some power, i just hope theres no crazy framerate drop in some of the more graphically impressive titles. The new mario, and smash bros did not wow me half as much as galaxy and smash did on the wii, but im sure will sell units which is what its all about now. Mario kart looks fun and will be a day one buy for me. Im still upset that that the PS4 is the same price as the WII U was at launch and is technically a lot more future proof and developer friendly, Nintendo did promise us a console that would win over xbox n ps gamers, this is clearly not the case and if i want to play battlefield or gtv then im gonna have to get xbox one which sucks. Im happier but Nintendo still messed up when it came to power, just a little more and we could have had it all, sigh.

I know the recent outburst from that EA employee is completely out of order, but he does make games and he probably knows more about the inner workings of wii u than all of us, it scares the shat out of me, and now one of my favorate games ever, fifa, isnt being made!!!!
Im confused and finding it increasingly hard to understand that a huge games and console manufacturer like nintendo would not make a more powerful machine! I enjoy my wii u but its feels like im clinging on to a dying pet i love.

The point is that if nintendo comunicated and listened to the developers making the games they wanted to see on wii u we wouldnt be in this mess. If anybody says but need for speed as pc textures again ill scream! i play it on ps3 as well as wii u and there is bearly any difference at all. They claim the controler is the next gen part but i have a tablet, thats not next gen! Has any body seen microsoft illumiroom? look it up on youtube, thats inovation. I feel like i may come accross as troll but im not, i run a business of my own and businesses should keep evolving or risk being left behind.
If it was possible id like nintendo offer full refunds to its customers, take back the consoles, salvage any parts, sell them or reuse them and start again. I cant understand why console makers cant make there machines upgradable like pcs, that way insuring customers have the choice to make machines as powerful as they want them.

I spent £350 as i trusted nintendo on there statements, i have been loyal for over 15 years and i feel that they have lied to us.
They are not stupid ! They new what the next gen consoles would need power wise to make developers want to make big cross platform games , and they stuck 2 fingers up at them and i hate to say it, us!
If the next gen sony or microsoft costs the same as what i paid for my wii u, i will not buy another nintendo product until the guys running nintendo have gone.

The fact the fan boys aint ripping me apart says it all, im a fan boy and have had nintendos for over 15 years! I just cant believe tech giants at the top there game can let this happen. Heres what really bugs me,
Nintendo at the end of the wiis life obviously pitched wii u to investors, promising HD next gen graphics, like they did to us, they wanted to bring back core gamers, wowed us with clips of games (that have been canned now) and yet nobody has said "where is all this?" Win back core gamers ! What a joke, forget no gta5 theres no blooming fifa ! Mario kart aint gonna save Nintendo this time, and if heads dont roll at nintendo there properly f..........

Look im a nintendo fan too ( lol hard to believe from recent posts ) i do like the wii u, but im just anoyed at nintendos sheer ignorance towards developers needs, meaning this great console will be snubbed for big new titles i will want to play. I see it like this.........

but thats the thing, they could have had them from the start if they just made a console developers didnt have to down port everything, making there vision happen as they intended it, not a half baked port using different teams and weaker graphics engines, which costs thousands! Its easy to say developers are at fault, they are people at the top of there game who just want to use the tech around to realise there dreams, why should they come up with an amazing concept for a game using tech that is being used in next gen consoles, then have to make a game thats no where near there dream because nintendo were to stuburn to use decent hardware in there next gen console?

it truly is all in one though, and how quick were the apps swaped i mean wow! how long would it take us to stop playing a game and start watching a film on netfix on wii u. now ive heard somebodys argument saying wii u is the only dedicated games console, and all the xbox power is needed for all the services it provides outside gaming.
EXACTLY, wiitv, internet, gaming, mii verse, not exactly a truly dedicated console is it.
So at least do it like (and i hate to say it) microsoft just did.

Oh please stop, FIFA is a great game and has been enjoyed by millions for years so shut it. If nintendo marketed the wii u saying " this machine will have, in time, a few of our new and old first party games in hd, and some ps3 n 360 ports" i could except the wii u as it is now, but they didnt, did they.

we all care about graphics, other wise we would still have black and white t.v's. As nintendo fans its kinda in our nature to say 'we dont care about visuals', defending ourselfs against our xbox n ps owning friends but now we got a console that kind of stands up to them, the problem aint graphics now, the problem is all the games we will probably miss out on, due to a certain amount of extra grunt that for some bizzare reason, even after research, and discussions with developers about what they need to make the games work well, nintendo said, no, this is all your getting! Like a parent holding a cookie jar, and only giving us half a cookie! WHY?

Who cares about N64 and GC guys, that argument is no longer relevant, im glad theres a lot of us nintendo fans who feel the same way at this time.
When nintendo were developing the wii u they must have looked at ways to win back there old customers who have gone over to PS and XBOX, im sure there list looked a bit like this,
1. Games, NOT first party but 3rd party, if these customers were truly in love with mario n zelda, they wouldnt have bought xbox's.
2. Internet and online play, obviously.
3. Power, most people have HD tvs now so nintendo should make use of that. And after all, no developer creating new and existing i.ps for next gen consoles ( supposedly like ours ) wants to be restricted by lack of power and the inability to run the newest graphics engine.
4. Make it seem more adult, if they keep slapping a picture of mario next to a nintendo logo nobody will believe nintendo are evolving.
They did well with the zombie u ad campaign, but it was hardly a ground breaker.
5. BIG BIG BIG Marketing campaign.
Its a fairly simple list but if they were serious about winning back gamers thats what was needed.
Heres another example of there failure with this console.
Unreal 4 we all new it was in development last year, and you my not like the games using unreal but for christ sake ps3 n xbox users do, the wii u cant use it, what ever anybody says, unreal said that unreal 3 is what the wii u will use. WHY THE F*#K WOULD YOU NOT MAKE A CONSOLE POWERFUL ENOUGH TO USE AN ENGINE HUNDREDS OF DEVS ARE CURRENTLY PRODUCING GAMES WITH FOR NEXT GEN CONSOLES! WE WILL MISS OUT AGAIN!!!!!

Im beggining to believe that because people and devs bang on at nintendo about making there machines more powerful, the old guys still running nintendo have said, "we no best, look at our track record, which is fair enough, but please please please, dont leave nintendo on a bad note, step down guys while your still seen as legends, i dont want to read an article headlined "the rise and fall of nintendo" with pictures of we all no who underneith.

I said something similar to this a while back and "unsurprisingly got abuse from NEARLY everyone on here", its interesting to read Everybody's views a few months on. I'll try again, we all bought wiiu because...
1. we love nintendo.
2. its different and innovative,
3. we were promised big 3rd party support and the big AAA games our sony and Microsoft owning friends were getting
4. tvii which linked all our entertainment hubs together
5. Better online facilities

Now as a customer I trust nintendo and I bought one on day one.
Now I feel like an idiot, even my friends who arnt hatters or trolls, who love nintendo but just went over to ps3 for more adult games (im 35 btw) are shocked and amazed that over a year in and theres still no real amount of games to warrant paying the new low price let alone the price I paid on day one.
Theres no info on tvii, and a lot of the big franchises arnt even making it on to the wiiu ? Where the hell is fifa ?????
I hate to admit it but nintendo have either...
1. F.ed up big big time, (which is fine, we all do it), or..
2. Lied to us.
I hope its not the latter so if they have messed up why not start again and market the big nintendo games and indie games only the system.
If you reply with the answer "dah, who's gonna buy wiiu if there arnt any big 3rd party franchises", the answer is us, who in there right mind would buy a wiiu to play the biggest 3rd party games? There are hardly any being released. So why not market new indie games and first party title only? How many people bought angry birds? So there's a massive market for indie games. If you don't like what I say please dont respond, its weird lol

Ive always wandered why console manufacturers dont design there consoles with the ability for customers to upgrade the systems power. They do it with p.cs and as long as they designed it so its just a matter of plugging and unplugging components it would be a perfect solution. If your happy playing simpler games like Mario and indie titles you leave it, but if you want bigger mmos or shooters you buy an upgrade. All developers need to do is release the the game online and if your system ain't powerful enough it directs you to an online store and you order order your part. Players online ids will show how souped up they are and im sure that it would start a trend similar to people souping up cars etc.

I would love it, but i think developers who have been working on all 3 next gen consoles will all tell us the wii u just cant keep up. Im sure 3d mario will look great but look at killzone on ps4 , if wii u games look like that at the end of its life id be happy. Plus surely as a marketing campaign we would have seen at least one game with next gen graphics if it were possible. Its like launching a 3d tv with no 3d content to show it off, lol i can picture it at e3 nintendo stepping up saying, "here is the next generation", playing clips from zombie u, nsmbu, and tank tank tank, everybody saying "where? what the.." and every now and then a voice bellowing through the speakers saying "behold".

If the game looks better why no comment or developer tweets or footage? That would get a buzz going for wii u. It wouldn't do them any harm sales wise as if you want this game you'll buy it on whatever machine you have. Im expecting a game that looks current gen but maybe slightly better shading in places. Like need for Speed most wanted.

The only people comparing it is us. If u want a slightly better ps3 with no nintendo ips and $500 dolar price tag then wait.

Well sony wont be coming out with a ps4 for a long time. They are making a new slimmer slim which will cost about $299. So whenever the ps4 comes out i bet nintendo will have somethign new coming up also.

And i also read that sony is saying that there ps vita and ps3 together can do what the wii u does. The only thing with me on that is where is the proof?
The vita has been out for a while now and i dont see it working.

Right now the wiiu is in a world of its own.
