there is the odd defective system here and there but i think the chances are so low of getting a defective one that you could easily go ahead with it now. it's up to you though, there is a benefit in waiting but you would have to wait a month or two before you get that benefit of buying a wii u built differently to the ones out now.

This is simply a minor delay for some people, not something huge that requires a recall or anything. Anyone who suffers from issues should imagine the system just launches a week later (by which time they should have a replacement). These issues are to be expected at launch, however it is very unfortunate and I'm very sorry for anyone disappointed, but seriously, it's going to be resolved shortly this happens so often with new hardware it shouldn't be too shocking.

There's only so much you can tell from a tear down, don't expect any real solid information because everything is ultimately just custom made and based on different models.

it will likely not be that expensive, if you do a straight currency conversion from the japanese price it will cost that much, but that's not how they determine prices in different regions. Besides, I think they're not releasing it in EU or US until the price of manufacturing goes down because they know people won't buy it for such a high price

Not necessarily, the PC gets quite a lot of games later than the ps360 launch, but it's not considered pointless. For example Assassin's Creed 3

unlucky, i recommend you go to small shops that no one would normally think to go to, they often have stock and people don't go because they don't think to. I don't know about the US but that works very often here in the UK

Here's a theory, it's totally made up but could be true. Perhaps the retailers takes one or two boxes from every batch they get and open them to make sure there was no damage in delivery and that should indicate the state of the whole batch.

Software sales are double what the wii's were at the same point in their life cycles, proving the people buying the wii u are core gamers. If Rockstar really is considering all options, then I expect them to begin work on a wii u version soon, they still have plenty of time

No there were frame drops on all versions at E3 show floor. These were fixed by September the 13th

i think every game on the wii u will have theyr own forum-board like because thats made and hosted by nintendo, one thing is the miiverse "outside" the games or the social nertwork lets call it because is part of the OS, and another different thing is to have miiverse integration INSIDE the game like this example

and this second thing is what is up to developers to integrate or not, but outside the game i think every game will have theyr own board in miiverse, and you can do a screenshot of any game.

Yes I agree, I hope it's the way you described it but I just imagined that might be too expensive for nintendo to host for every single game from third parties included. But who knows, hopefully you're right

It's just so awesome, a facebook group equivalent for each game, I hope third parties use it because if I understand correctly, third parties have to host the servers for the miiverse for their games so it's optional to have it or not

I can't see those ports doing very well, most people would have already bought/will buy for their current system.

Not necessarily, if you look at the sales of those games they aren't nearly as high as the number of people who want to own them since not everyone buys every game they want when it comes out of course. That's why game of the year editions are released a year after the original and still do well, games like Assassin's Creed 3 and Darksiders 2 are coming out on Wii U mere months after the other launches, no where near everyone who wanted them owns them yet. I know four people who want AC3 but simply haven't gotten round to buying it, two of them are buying the Wii U version and the other two easily could if they decide to get the system
