#49290 Idea: Super Mario U

Posted by Crackkat on 26 December 2011 - 09:08 PM in Wii U Games and Software

hmm, i totally agree on getting a new mario adventure, and i like the idea of going back to the castle, but i would like to see a sunshine two just as much as this idea. i think both would be equally awesome, the online feature however i think would be pointless and a waste of the team's time, i love that nintendo only include online features when it really works and is necessary, in this case, it really isnt. the scattering of toads throughout the world is a cool story, but i think it should be done ASWELL as have peach be kidnapped cos its tradition (especially for a classic return to the castle).

and nice box art ;)

#49291 Wii U Price Discussion

Posted by Crackkat on 26 December 2011 - 09:12 PM in Wii U Hardware

Nintendo SAID they learned the lesson with 3DS. If they did, I expect they'll give it for $300 USD or $350 USD. Anyway, I will wait for 2013 or 2012 holidays so I can get a bundle or the black version.

is the black version confirmed? im getting it midnight launch either way but curious

#49327 Wii U Price Discussion

Posted by Crackkat on 27 December 2011 - 07:49 AM in Wii U Hardware

Nintendo should definetly not go above $400. If they price it at $400, the launch line-up better rock my world. However, I don't see them pricing it at $400. I would say $300 or $350, depending on if it comes with a pack-in game. One thing they could do is 2 controller bundles:
Wii Remote Plus/Nunchuck(no tablet controller): $300
Tablet controller(no wii remote plus/nunchuk): $400

i agree they will definately not go over $400, no way, especially in this economic climate, i totally see it being $300-350. but i don't think theres even the slightest chance of a bundle without the tablet controller, its the main focus of the console and i think most games will use it, if not all. however i do think they should do bundles with and without wii mote and nunchuku.

#49874 Wii U Price Discussion

Posted by Crackkat on 30 December 2011 - 02:17 PM in Wii U Hardware

reggie said in an interview that they're not going to have a high price at launch then drop price a few months or a year later. he said theyre going to start off as cheap as they can, and keep the same price for 2-3 years; he said they dont want people to wait for a price drop, but rather buy it straight away cos there isnt going to be one. and it will definitely come with a game.

#50236 720p, 1080p... whats next?

Posted by Crackkat on 01 January 2012 - 10:16 AM in General Gaming

Well how many people do you know that have a 3D TV? I think that the current 3D TV wont be the ones to make the claim to fame but I think that it will be ones without the strange glasses. Just like the 3DS.

i agree, my dad wants a 3D tv but refuses to get one with glasses, he even asked in a TV shop for a glasses free 3D TV and the women was like "no sorry they dont exist yet, it only works on the 3DS cos it has a small screen but maybe someday in the future" was pretty jks :P

#50238 Next Handheld

Posted by Crackkat on 01 January 2012 - 10:25 AM in General Gaming

Observe my drawing it has two screens. It is much different than the psp go too. The size, it's capabilities, the function, and the graphics.

The basic point is it is different.

Posted ImageLike this but slidable and better graphical.

Bigger Sized Version :D

awesome :o

#50240 Future of Pokemon

Posted by Crackkat on 01 January 2012 - 10:30 AM in General Gaming

so we all know that pokemon has been going on for soo many generations now that its ridiculous (in a good way). and the amount of pokemon that has been created is huge as well, so big that they seem to be running out of ideas for new pokemon.

anyway my question is, how do you think the future of pokemon will pan out, they cant just keep on creating more and more pokemon can they? are black and white the end? is pokemon going to come to an end? i hope not, what do you think they possibly could and will do in the future to keep pokemon alive?

#50284 Future of Pokemon

Posted by Crackkat on 01 January 2012 - 12:39 PM in General Gaming

Well, being the resident pokefreak, I think it's only fair to state what I think will happen in the future of pokemon. Something that many people seem to forget is that Black/White both were advertised as a new beginning. This, along with various evidence leads me to believe that Gen V is as close to fully fledged reboot that we will get from the series. for those of you who haven't played, Gen V takes place in Unova, an completely isolated region of the Pokemon world. Until you beat the primary story, you can not catch Pokemon from other regions. This symbolizes that the game was meant to be a new game entirely underneath the Pokemon umbrella. Another fact that supports this is that Gen V takes place several years after the events of the previous generations (This is evidenced by how a former member of Team Rocket now has a family in the Unova region), and it was obvious that this was GameFreak's attempt to, for lack of a better term, reintroduce/reboot Pokemon to a new generation by creating a game that is still inside the primary world that they had built, but yet isolated enough that new fans could pick up and play without having to concern themselves beyond the Unova region if they want to. The final fact that proves that, at least as far as I'm concerned, that Gen V-VI will not have remakes, is that in the offical Pokemon Tournaments that the Pokemon company hosts, that every team for last years entry was only allowed to have Pokemon from Unova.

As for the future,we can make logical guess about what will occur. First piece of evidence about the future of pokemon games is simple. In June, Nintendo released Pokedex 3D, which featured fully 3D models. From this, we can assume two things, the first of which is that the next pokemon game will be on the 3DS, while the second is that it will feature fully 3D sprites for the pokemon. Another assumption that we can make about the future of Pokemon is that it will involve my namesake as a character at some point in the future, as after the story has been completed in B/W, you learn that N has been spotted in a faraway land.

As for Them reusing pokemon designs, I will state that while the general idea is the same between Woobat and Zubat, the two are different enough to prevent confusion. I believe that pokemon could truly be able to exist as long as they keep the designs between generations different enough. If they ever run dry, I'm certain that they could take inspiration from the various different wildlife that exists outside of japan. I would enjoy a pokemon game that features a pokemon models/inspiration from Australia.

Anyways, that's just my 2 cents :P

wow, beastly reply :P but i unfortunately havent got round to picking up white/black yet so i didn't know a lot of what you said, so thx for clearing that up. i think you're right that the next game will be 3D on the 3DS but my question is what will the gameplay be like? will it be just another game like black and diamond and ruby and gold and blue etc or will it be a whole new type of pokemon game? because for it to be like all the rest, they would need a whole new generation of pokemon which i think its too soon for, i think they should make something different with the same pokemon from black/white.

I think they should make a pokemon mmorpg because there is a large amount of pokemon.

thats genious, i want it now!! :P

#50300 Wii U sales wont go so well?

Posted by Crackkat on 01 January 2012 - 12:58 PM in Wii U Hardware

i see no reason for wii u to struggle, the innovation alone will sell tonnes!! then you've got the nintendo name which will sell a good amount too. furthermore being the first next gen console, people want next gen, they will buy wii u, the line up is absolutely incredible for a system this far from launch - over 23 games already announced!!

now you've got to remember the loudest community is the vegeta community, they make it seem like everyone hates nintendo when it really isn't true. 5 people i know have laughed at wii u already, making it seem like everyone would, but then 5 other people i know came out and said they thought it was really cool, and i never expected it from them but it happened, so trust me, open minded people are everywhere, they just dont shout it out loud like nintendo haters shout out their opinoins

#50323 Wii U sales wont go so well?

Posted by Crackkat on 01 January 2012 - 02:12 PM in Wii U Hardware

Seriously I have no idea how people will think that the wii u will do bad as it still has wii's motion technology which will provide casual gamers with their HD games. Which in my opinion is the only reason people switched from wii to anything else which means it will be able to support casual and hardcore by providing the best of both. Seriously what other argument have you heard against wii that isn't derived from graphics????

you're totally right but what some of this forum's members are worried about, is the majority of people being stupid and hating on the name and reputation, but in all honesty i dont think the majority of people are that stupid.
here's a vid of a gamer who doesnt own the wii, isnt interested in nintendo that much but has been won over by wii u already :D
