please let it be $350!! 300 is a little worryingly cheap, but if it does turn out to be 300, then i would expect that nintendo sacrificed profit as opposed to power, it really seems that they care about third party support next gen and future proofing their console. a company who has made the power house of ever gen will not lose that reputation just from one generation.

Let's hope not but like I said before Nintendo fans should prepare because this is Nintendo. A console 2x more powerful than ps3 isn't bad. My only concern is third party engines... It has to be powerful enough to run next gen engines to get the multiplatform titles.... If not I will be sad.

im honestly not worried about this, the third parties know that its gonna take beastly systems to run their next gen engines but they still chose to commit all key releases to wii u. meaning they think its powerful enough, eg. EA, Activision, Ubisoft

See that's the problem right there. People are getting excited over these games that have been announced so far. All these games are running on engines designed for ps360. What about the next gen engines. We haven't seen any exclusives built from ground up on wii u yet... Maybe killer freaks but even that looked like it could have been on ps360. I'm talking 2013-2017 game engines.

im not talking about games though, im not talking about the already confirmed current gen games on wii u, im talking about commitments from EA, activision and ubisoft to develop games for the system and put all key franchises on the system

Nintendo should definetly not go above $400. If they price it at $400, the launch line-up better rock my world. However, I don't see them pricing it at $400. I would say $300 or $350, depending on if it comes with a pack-in game. One thing they could do is 2 controller bundles:
Wii Remote Plus/Nunchuck(no tablet controller): $300
Tablet controller(no wii remote plus/nunchuk): $400

i agree they will definately not go over $400, no way, especially in this economic climate, i totally see it being $300-350. but i don't think theres even the slightest chance of a bundle without the tablet controller, its the main focus of the console and i think most games will use it, if not all. however i do think they should do bundles with and without wii mote and nunchuku.

reggie said in an interview that they're not going to have a high price at launch then drop price a few months or a year later. he said theyre going to start off as cheap as they can, and keep the same price for 2-3 years; he said they dont want people to wait for a price drop, but rather buy it straight away cos there isnt going to be one. and it will definitely come with a game.

i just want VISUAL proff of what the Wii U can really do. im not going to get excited and my hopes up until im sure of what it can do. it all sounds good but i have been fooled before and im almost sure nintendo isnt going to give out the specs like a lot of people think. since gamecube they have held back on giving spec.... we still dont know truly how powerful the 3ds is.

i see what ur saying, but in the end, it really doesnt matter if the developers don't make games that use the full potential

so in the end, it all depends on the developers, the wii u could be a beast, but we would never find out, or it could be weak. but it all comes down to what developers do with it, and since developers are commiting to it, im convinced its powerful enough to take whatever they have in store for it.

Nintendo SAID they learned the lesson with 3DS. If they did, I expect they'll give it for $300 USD or $350 USD. Anyway, I will wait for 2013 or 2012 holidays so I can get a bundle or the black version.

is the black version confirmed? im getting it midnight launch either way but curious

ok but im just not getting excited about assassins creed and darksiders and games like that. im not sure they are going to be far superior what the ps3 can do. but there was the one developers for thq that said the wii u version will be like having a blu-ray dvd vs standard visuals that are ps3 and 360.

thats exactly what im talking about, its developer testamonies that are the best source of info on the wii u's power, and its looking to be future proof for next gen

the 3DS and vita cameras arent nearly as bas people think, if u know how to set them to the right settings for ur environment, it can turn a blurry image into a much clearer one, trust meh, my sister studied photography, she somehow manages to get the 3DS camera to work immensly

a lot of this is very promising, yet i hope its not true. i want more, i want splinter cell 6, not just the games listed above, i also want 4 tablet support. i also want analogue triggers and an earlier release date.
