#61106 What is Nintendo hiding?

Posted by esper on 11 February 2012 - 07:40 PM in General Gaming

Just to be clear, Gamecube was the most powerful console of that generation... what were they laughed at for?

I dont think it was specs, I think it was polygons. Sony said the PlayStation 2 coul run ?00,000 polygons, Microsoft said the Xbox could run ?00,000 polygons and Nintendo said the Gamecube could run ?0,000 polygons.
People laughed at the difference in number but what people didn't know was that Sony and Microsoft gave out polygons and only polygons, Nintendo factured in things life lighting and textures and came to that number.

#85160 Ubisoft won E3!

Posted by esper on 06 June 2012 - 07:37 PM in General Gaming

Ubisoft>Nintendo>Sony>Microsoft>EA

Ubisoft's one low point was right before the e-sports segment, the bad comedy skit.

Nintendo I had high expectations they talked about mostly stuff I already know but seeing footage of them was entertaining. Too much NintendoLand.

Sony didn't show anything that really intrested me Beyond looks nice but don't know anything about gameplay, The Last of Us also looks nice but in a apocalipse game I want to interact with every thing and I didn't see that. Finally WonderBook why WHY?

Microsoft had Usher come out and do a praformence for no reason and South Park was the only thing that I wanted to play.

EA what happend seriously I don't remember.

#61749 The wii

Posted by esper on 15 February 2012 - 01:30 AM in General Gaming

The Wii did better than I expected Honestly. Way back when this generation started with Sony, Microsoft, third parties and gamers going on about TEH GRAFIX. Nintendo not having the resources to go for a super powerful console, went with new ways to play. In my opinion Nintendo was not going for the gaming audience and I had no idea where this would take them. I was expecting motion controles to give me some fun times and the first party games to be avarage good not great. But Wii bowling was way more fun than I expected. For third party support i was expexting shovel and only shovel but Zack and Wiki, De Blob, No More Heroes, Sonic Colours, Okami, Epic Mickey, and Monster Hunter pleasantly suprised me. As for first party sofware it amazed me a lot better than I was expecting. The virtual console letting me play SNES and N64 games that I missed was awesome. While the Wii was not able to support my gaming needs throughout this generation it didn't matter that much as I love my DS and my PC brought me fun times. The Wii did better than I was expecting, it has it's faults but sence everyone has spent the last six years repeating those over and over again I won't touch them. So inconclusion I like my Wii but I don't love it.
