It could easily be done on the wii U.The hardware has the power to have beutiful graphics and you can use the controller to turn and it would be a good game to have some online with a bit more serious tone than mario kart.

It depends on the video game it is true thought that the only one left doing cartoony style games is Nintendo and the others are all indie devs.Some games benefit from it but I feel that the games are too limited to what they can do in the genre.I mean that's why mario is so adaptable that they can make up anything to make him fit into the surroundings and I hope more games did this but whatever.AS long as pokemon is still 8-bit sprites I aint gonna mind

Metroid is a Nintendo shooter, though it does lack online.

It's more of a adventure though instead of a shooter.It can be tweeked into a shooter but that would ruin the franchise and make it a halo clone

I was wondering what Nintendo next ip will be?

Nintendo over the years have made a great effort to make a juggernaut franchise per genre.For racing there's mario kart,for fighting there's smash bros.What I am saying is they have tried hard over the years to make sure that every genre has a nintendo franchise.Now they have lacked in 2 things shooter and online.They wont make a fps game as they are a japanease company and they cant make fps games so obviously that would mean Retro Studios could work on a fps.We know they can because of Metroid Prime Hunters on the ds.Thge other is the social aspect.Nintendo has always lacked in online connectivity but they would need a social game which brings people together and into a community.Games like Monster Hunter,Dragon Quest have all done it but Nintendo has never tried to do it themselves and I think they would be great at it because one thing we do know is they are the masters of gameplay so usually games like monster hunter and dragon quest kind of get boring after a while.So maybe we will see an online mmorg along with a fps at this e3

They both do different things amazingly and have unique games.The 3ds is great for Nintendo franchises along with niche,casual,puzzle and rpg games mady by the japanease devs.The vita is great for shooters,racers,and games made by western devs

So what ever you are into.They both are great at whatever they are trying to do.

It world definetely be interesting and I definitely think it would be fun and unique to bring to the table.I already hate how all home consoles are the same that's why I loved the wii because it was different.Same with the psp and ds they were both different and unique games were being made for the hardware and it would be fun to have 2 different types of consoles on the market each providing unique experiences unlike ps3 and xbox who are really going by exclusives

Well it depends on the sales of the upcoming game on the 3ds and hopefully people will stop sucking mario and link so much to pay attention.But yeah I hope that many developers who are making games on the 3ds will opt to make a version on the wii U.I dont mean with hd graphics and all but similar to what apple does with thier ipod and Ipad.Games are made for the ipod but they can be played on a large screen without any enhancements.

I think it depends on the developers.The western developers are obviously going to be more attracted into developing for the psvita while more japanease devs will move to nintendo as to be honest that's really the only platform they have where there is a market for japanease games.I mean the market is switching from Japanese devs to western devs and japanease games are barely selling and yet they have found a nice niche market in nintendo systems

I was disappointed the most with third party.There were barely any good third party games and the ones that were good none ever bought them and just continued to buy first party software.THis is a problem for Nintendo for a long time but it really went to the extreme on the wii when games like mario galaxy selling at 10 million while No more heroes barely at a million(last time I checked),I cant help but think we are partly to blame for that for just buying nintendo software and not supporting third parties...And I am sure this will happen on the wii U as well.Sure it has great third party support but really you wont ever see a blockbuster in sales figure on a nintendo platform from third parties..

I do think that Nintendo really tried thier best to support the console throught it all.They had an amazing ideas but they could never really nail it down but then every now and then you would play a game like mario galaxy and Skyward Sword and you realised why they ever made it in the first place.that was thier initial idea and in some retrospecte it has done that.

It really made sense so much in paper though.It was a console that was based on the ds which as we know is like the ps2 in handheld consoles by having the largest amount of games from mainstream like cod and final fantasy to a more niche market that appealed to every type of gamer.With casual games like Brain Academy and Hardcore like Metroid and Fire emblem to a bridge games like Professor Layton..it was the best of both worlds and I am sure this was thier idea for the wii but somewhere it went wrong.Lack of hardware,online,motion controll

Pokemon MMO has been a Nintendo game many Pokemon fans have been wanting since the beginning of time. Making it work with the Wii U with the new controller and using it as your Pokedex and able to take pics of wondering pokemon to add them to it. (Pokemon snap style)

Yes but the pokemon demographic is different than zelda's.Pokemon is targetted toward kids and lots of kids buy it.So I highly doubt they would make a pokemon mmo as of the abuse on the interent and mmo's in general.It would make sence with a zelda game as it appeals to a different type of gamer a more muture type of gamer

What are your opinion on the Nintendo Wii

-The best selling game console of the 7th generation with over 94.97 million units sold worldwide
-Brought Motion Control gaming into the mainstream market and now is a standard by all gaming systems
-Over 54 titles titles making more than a million units with games like wii sports selling at 76 million,mario kart at 30 million,and smash bros with 9.48 million.
-brought in different types of gamers
-suffered from a lack of third party support,under power system,terrible online and some didn't like the fact that motion controls were gimmicky instead of enhancing gameplay
-By far had the largest collection of niche games that wouldn't be even made if the wii was a general console like the ps3 or xbox which are dominated by the fps market

so yeah,what are your opinion on the system,where do you think it went wrong,where do you think it went right,do you think Nintendo supported it all the way or did they give up

I think Nintendo really doesn't need to have anything new.Now I would love it if they experimented with some new ip's but really they have huge juggernauts for almost every genre
Racing=Mario Kart
Fighting=Smash Bros
Platform=Mario,Dk,Kirby
Stragedy=Pikman,Fire Emblem,Advanced Wars
Shooter=Metroid..if they put more emphasis on the fps part
Adventure=Zelda,Metroid

So yeah while it would be good to have something new,they really have almost every genre filled with a huge money income juggernaut..the only game that I think they possibly lack is the online component and that's going to be filled with 3rd party and let's not forget that Sqaure Enix is bringing Dragon Quest 10 on the wii U+wii

Sounds less likely than Star Fox or F-Zero to be honest.
Retro are working on something that everyone wants them to do. Now, I'm not sure if they meant that internally or externally, but I've never seen people on the internet saying they want Retro to do Mario, or nowhere as much as Star Fox or F-Zero. Heck, I've seen more people say Zelda than Mario.

At least, that's how I've seen it.

but one of the devs saidf that it's thier crowning achievement in history.I highly doubt a star fox game or f-zero game will be that void and only 2 titles that I think would make any dev get wet from excitement would be a mario or zelda title

I think Nintendo is going to wait for e3 and then really show the full power of the 3ds.Maybe an firmware update,full retail games,ability to connect to the Wii U but yeah,It's a interesting machine and we'll see what it has in store for us

Btw: did you know that the Wii U is 3d capable so if you have a 3d tv you can connect it up

To be fair they have competition all around them.None buys a sony walkman anymore and instead opts for an ipod.People instead of the sony bravia choose a toshiba or samsung and now in console race they are being bet by Nintendo and Microsoft.
I think they relied way too heavy on the playstation brand and began acting cocky.Nintendo and Microsoft knew what they were doing but it just seemed the ps3 way just a collection of the best technology that was out right now.Plus that price point didn't help
Hopefully thier next gen will be more tradinional like the ps2

I dont have any handheld and looking at Sony and Nintendo's track record I am going to wait for a light version.ONE WITH DUAL THUMBSTICKS NINTENDO.But yeah the lauch in pretty good,I would've like to see more unique experiences that I couldn't get on a ps3 but yeah it's fine

Zelda has a pretty good fanbase.

I don't like some Nintendo fans either though. Some think that their games are the best, when that's all they play. Same thing with the systems.

true,I hate the ones that only buy Nintendo first party software and forget that nintendo is not good at every genre
