#63451 WiiU Trophy/Achievement system

Here are some of my thoughts.
1) Miyamoto doesn't like trophies apparently, well he also didn't care for online material when making the Wii and look where that got them. I really do not care if Miyamoto agrees with trophies or online play, HIS CUSTOMERS DO CARE, make it happen. We love your game design and franchises, don't make us miss out on them because of your silly beliefs! I STILL to this day would ABSOLUTELY LOVE to play 4 on 4 wii bowling against another team online. That would be so awesome.
2) A trophy popping ruins the 'game immersion'? I find that silly, it is a tiny little thing that happens, do you also turn off your phones, people in the house, animals, and everything else? C'mon. Either way, easy fix, make them shut-offable.
3) If people do NOT like trophies, pay no mind to them. This way both groups get their way, voila!
4) I have 100%'ed most of the Wii material, however, there are a few I haven't 100%'ed. Super Mario Galaxy 1 I only have like, 60 stars on Luigi, I would have finished if there was a trophy. In Super Mario Galaxy 2 I never finished the final level without taking a damage, probably would have if there was a trophy.
5) How awesome would it be to play A Link to the Past, or Final Fantasy 3 with trophies?
Just please, nintendo, listen to the fans a bit more this time around, take a gander around you at what is working for your competition. If Miyamoto doesn't like 'online play' maybe it is because he is archaic and doesn't understand the younger audience and social networking.
I am 30, and I would love a trophy system implemented in the new Wii U.
Awesome ideas. Well done!

Well, in my country the speed is too slow, but is better wait a day to play the game, that buy a game that costs $80 for a game that costs $40. Also, the games come to my country like three weeks after the launch in the United States.wow, i never really thought about that problem... or realized that that was the case, I guess. I know that I've heard a few gamers on these forums complain about the move to digital distribution, because they don't have reliable high-speed internet in their country. is this largely the case outside of the US, or only in a few specific countries?

What???? the pointer in the Wii was the best feature that the Wii has. I prefer pointing in menus and i hope to play the fps game with the wii remote.I sure hope not.
Pointing the Wii remote at the screen just to select your game was annoying.
Maybe it could be optional.

I like the idea.I'm sure the square button next to the power button is the magical screen switcher. It wouldn't make sense to have it on-screen, like in the zelda demo. Just press a button and it probably flips through a few sets the developer or user had pre-set. Some games might have pre-set screen switches, others might allow the user to set what the screen might display and then switch between a few custom settings.
Examples:
Setting 1 = Main game with HUD on TV, map/items on controller
Setting 2 = Main game on TV, HUD, items and map on controller (clean TV mode, I will cry tears of joy if this becomes real)
Setting 3 = Main game with HUD on controller, map/items on screen (+ button needed to switch to item screen here)
Setting 4 = Main game with full HUD on controller, TV not used (full streaming mode)

I agree with you, its looks more matureThe dark blue adds a more mature feel to it. Me gusta. (Now all they need is a black console available on launch day...)

Sure IGN, I going to believe to a anonymous developers and ignore the REAL developers.“Our one and only goal once we got the Wii U hardware was to get Darksiders II running on it. We didn’t even have running the game on the touch screen on our ‘to do’ list. but once we got it running, we just fooled around with getting it on the touch screen as a lark. It took all of five minutes and two lines of code, and boom! – there was the entire game running on the controller. Amazing.”
