#133435 Editing Miis?

Posted by jono on 19 November 2012 - 09:23 AM in Wii U Hardware

wait, so they're naked?

Yes. They die their skin, if you can't tell. If they're a "favorite", then they get a spray tan.

#130903 Someone explain Nintendo TVii to me?

Posted by jono on 16 November 2012 - 12:21 PM in Wii U Hardware

So I have to pay monthly to netflix hulu and that kind of stuff to actually use it? or is there a free option?

Well, yeah. Tvii is just putting all already existing services into one. Tvii is free, but to do anything with it, you'll need the services it includes.

#130889 Someone explain Nintendo TVii to me?

Posted by jono on 16 November 2012 - 12:07 PM in Wii U Hardware

Basically, you can hook up your netflix, Hulu +, and Amazon accounts as well as your tivo into Nintedno Tvii. Then you simply load up Tvii, find what you want to watch, and it will tell you what services it's available from. You can then easily choose which one you want to watch from with a touch on the screen. That's the main feature.

#129364 A couple un-answered questions about the Wii U

Posted by jono on 14 November 2012 - 03:30 PM in Wii U Hardware

Okay, so you have to quit your game to answer a call?
Hopefully most games will have some sort of auto-save feature.

You can suspend the game and come back exactly where you left off.

#129294 Hello Fans

Posted by jono on 14 November 2012 - 02:10 PM in Introduction Central

BWAHHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! Nintendo, hello and welcome to the forums! Say hi to Reggie for me.

I doubt they talk much. He who spends more then five minutes time in the same room as the physical form of Nintendo (some say it looks like a white hot raging ball of fun), dies of awesomeness. True story.

#128348 What other games are you passing on to afford a Wii U?

Posted by jono on 12 November 2012 - 07:50 PM in General Gaming

What reason would anyone possibly have for passing on Xenoblade? ;_;

I'm passing on nothing, I've sold all the games I don't REALLY REALLY want to replay some day. Maybe the Last Story, but that's unlikely.

#127850 Final Countdown to Wii U

#127661 Best selling game

Posted by jono on 11 November 2012 - 01:18 PM in Wii U Games and Software

If we're counting pack-in titles, Nintendoland. If not, NSMBU.

#127194 Zelda Battle Quest direct-feed footage

Posted by jono on 10 November 2012 - 11:56 AM in Wii U Games and Software

They don't really have storylines...

enemy designs, bosses, areas. There's a lot more to spoilers then just story.

#127119 Zelda Battle Quest direct-feed footage

I'm not watching. This is the thing I most want from Nintendoland; I'm not spoiling myself.

#126696 do u think nsmbu looks better than the mario galaxy series?

Posted by jono on 09 November 2012 - 01:36 PM in Wii U Games and Software

NSMBU has source lighting and effects too.... which it didn't have on the Wii.

Yeah, I know. Galaxy is still more polished and detailed, though.

#126675 do u think nsmbu looks better than the mario galaxy series?

Posted by jono on 09 November 2012 - 01:14 PM in Wii U Games and Software

Galaxy, it makes better use of a variety of visual effects. NSMBU is just a higher resolution.

No. Nothing.

#126310 The first Wii U eShop screen looks weird, mario luigi?

Posted by jono on 08 November 2012 - 06:21 PM in Wii U Hardware

Since we are on the topic, are all the launch titles gunna be available for purchase on day 1 in the eShop? I was thinking why not start taking advantage of the Deluxe Digital Promotion right away? Also does anyone know if we will get Club Nintendo points from digital purchases or just in retail copies?

hehe, just saw you post this on IGN :P I'll answer you both places.

Some of them will be there day 1. If it's like the Wii, then yes, we will get points from select digital games and probably the retail - digital games.

Posted by jono on 08 November 2012 - 06:06 PM in Wii U Hardware

Details I've gathered from the google translate (I had to figure out what they were saying once or twice, google translate stinks lol)

- Download full retial games, software only available through the internet, additional downloadable content for download, and free trial version you can feel free to try (their words)

- get recommendations from Miiverse

- 1. buy software wherever you like, from stores, the E-shop, and download codes you can get from stores

- 2. "you can enjoy high-definition image quality and HD video play when you know the image of video and TVCM promotion of the latest game software, actually played the game. You can also be in the GamePad, watch the video of your choice easily at hand also." Not sure what videos they're talking about here, but probably videos of games you're looking at.

-3. Enjoy trial versions of various game sofwtare; try before you buy, if you play a lot you may find one you didn't think you would like

-4. at the entrance of the E-shop they will put up different perspectives on game software

-5. You can rate the games, comment on Miiverse, see others' comments

A lot like the 3DS E-shop, it sounds. BUT WE STILL DON'T KNOW WHY MARIO AND LUIGI ARE IN THAT PICTURE!!!!!! GRR!!!!!
