#95207 Wii U Online Gameplay and Hardware Problems

Posted by Alianjaro on 23 July 2012 - 06:39 PM in Wii U Hardware

Man you're assuming too much things, especially when it comes to Nintendo Land.

Besides, I don't get why people feel so concerned with that game. They said it would be the Wii U's Wii Sports, and as far as I remember, I don't know anybody that has spent more than 50 hours on Wii Sports...

#95205 New GTA V rumors, Take-Two and Rockstar deciding whether it should be on Wii U

Posted by Alianjaro on 23 July 2012 - 06:32 PM in Wii U Games and Software

I was browsing Gamespot and found this

http://www.gamespot....rumors-and-info

It includes that Take Two and Rockstar are deciding whether or not to bring GTA V to Wii U

I doubt this guys info is legit tho, but there's always a chance...

Uh... I might believe this... If its true, then its great. The poster managed to post that in a way that it could be totally made up yet still be very accurate.

Seems plausible. Seems fun. Why won't Rockstar and Take Two just make up their minds already. I don't really care for GTA (and also because my mom won't let me play M rated games) but I mean seriously everyone is waiting for your response Rockstar/Take Two.

LOL at your sig!

#95078 think i found WiiU DSP sound processor ARM BASED

Is it any good? Anyway, as long as its not the NES sound system then I'm alright with it.

#95031 PlayStation 3 vs Wii - Which had better RPG's?

Posted by Alianjaro on 23 July 2012 - 06:19 AM in General Gaming

I was implying that the PS3 has more on par in terms of quality titles. I love my Wii, and all of the RPGs on there, but my PS3 just has more, equal quality ones, so in this case quantity does matter.

Now it makes sense. PS3 has a lot of JRPGs, which I like more than RPGs. Anyway, if the operation moonfall games hadn't been released, then I'd say it's the PS3.

#94907 Wii U Multiplayer Idea

Posted by Alianjaro on 22 July 2012 - 02:04 PM in Wii U Hardware

Iwata did say that the 3ds could be used as a wiiu game pad. but i doubt that will happen in a financial situation.

He said that the 3DS could be a controller for SSB4.

buy another console then CASUAL GAMER and step away from the console of TRUE GAMERS lol @ pro pad IF U FPS WITH IT MIGHT AS WELL HAND THE KEYS IN TO YOUR FORUM MEMBERSHIP

lol at thinking your post looked core it didnt it looked silly pony GAMER AKA SONY DUALSHOCK

Relax man, he meant no harm at all...

#94906 PlayStation 3 vs Wii - Which had better RPG's?

Posted by Alianjaro on 22 July 2012 - 01:59 PM in General Gaming

I would have to say the PS3 simply because there are more of them. The Wii has Xenoblade, Paper Mario, and (soon in America) The Last Story as well as a couple of others. The PS3 has just tons of both Western Rpgs and J-RPGs.

Number doesnt make it better.

#94874 Nintendo has put themselves in a BAD situation

Posted by Alianjaro on 22 July 2012 - 06:56 AM in Wii U Hardware

and you are forgetting something... developers who push too much into graphics and forget gameplay, are bound to kill themselves... do you know a high end graphics game cost as much as a movie costs? just look how many developers had to close down because their game sales did not break even.. yes, it is not a main factor for a developer to close down, but it contributes..

Kof*Ninja Gaiden 3*Kof...

i actually say the exact opposite. Nintendo has put itself in VERY good situation. here are my points as to why

1. the GPU having modern architecture. this alone was the reason the Wii wasnt able to get the ports of this gen. the cpu wasnt the problem. nintendo giving the Wii U a modern GPU with 2010 or better architecture will be on par with the GPU inside the ps4 and nextbox.

2. the Wii U pro controller. the alternative to the wii u gamepad. now(we have all heard and seen it similarities to the xbox360 controller) developers have a controller they can use(if they choose if they are not lazy) to use primarily for shooters and other games. we know the xbox 360 controller is the primary reason its the chosen console for shooters.

3. Miiverse. facebook is still the most popular thing in the world right now. at first i didnt get miiverse but now i do. "IF" nintendo is able to make miiverse the facebook of gaming i can see this console selling 100 million units. to have gamers interact in an everyday fashion with other gamers about what they are playing can take over the world just like the Wii did(maybe even more).

4. last but not least the Wii u gamepad. obviously this is the selling point of the console. "IF" nintendo gets it right with this controller it can literally change the electronic world as we know it. so there have been rumors of nintendo OS for Wii U being android influenced or actually running on android. but imagine what this device can do...video chat, internet, downloading your favorite apps, and controlling your tv(you can literally play your favorite game and watch tv at the same time). i believe nintendo will get some exclusives next gen because of the gamepad. i like(for a luanch period game) what ubisoft is doing with Zombi U. it just cant be done on xbox and playstation current consoles(we will have to wait and see if one of them decide to copy nintendo with their next gaming console controller). this controller can literally replace or prevent you from having to buy a tablet plus it plays your favorite nintendo franchises on it without lag.

all in all if 3rd patries dont bring their franchises to nintendo upcoming console it wont be nintendos fault. they have put a pretty good platform together for developers to be able to bring their games over successfully. we will just have to wait and see if and or what excuses they would use to deny us their franchises on nintendos upcoming home console.

Exactly. Plus Iwata wants the Wii U to change the world. It may seem idyllic, but it is totally possible since there's nothing like the Wii U on the market right now.

#94871 Grand Theft Auto Petition

Posted by Alianjaro on 22 July 2012 - 06:46 AM in Wii U Games and Software

People who sign petitions aren't necessarily people who buy games.

You've got a point here. We can only blame humanity's non-sense I guess...

#94819 About the power of the Wii U

Welcome to the community!!! Oh and thank you very much for this topic, people have to understand this.

#94799 Nintendo has put themselves in a BAD situation

Posted by Alianjaro on 21 July 2012 - 03:26 PM in Wii U Hardware

I think this is worth reading.

IMO Nintendo has officially gotten themselves screwed in terms of the Wii U. With Microsoft's SmartGlass and Sony's Vita/PS3 CrossPlay, and both being optional accessory's instead of almost necessary Wii U Gamepad, Microsoft and Sony can stick with traditional controls and make their consoles even MORE powerful than what we are all expecting. Now I hate how people think that Gaming is all about graphics but in reality, it's about the Gameplay experience in which the Wii U delivers this aspect in the best. HOWEVER, with Hardware costs having to be kept down to include the Gamepad, the graphics won't be as good as PS4 and XBOX Next, so trolls will have another reason to hate on the Wii U and third-parties will see this and once again pledge their games on Sony and Microsoft, leaving Nintendo in the dust...again, like they were with the Wii. Undoubtfully though Wii U WILL succeed because of the Loyal Nintendo fans, though we will see a repeat of the current generation.

This would have been a good reasoning for the last two gens. From what you`re saying, I can understand that you are taking in account that the next gen PS360 won't have a tablet-like controller. I honestly think they will. If they don't, they will overall just release an enhanced remake of the PS360, which wouldn't sell well. OK it would be more powerful than the Wii U but if it doesn't sell well, companies won't take the risk to develop games for it. And you know that if Sony screws up with this gen, they're gone. Microsoft is a little bit under 0 in terms of profits since the XBox and are now beginning to get more money. They can't afford to fall again deep under 0. Of course, Microsoft won't die, but if it sees that the gaming department doesn't do well, they will close it. If they do make a tablet controller, they will A)Set a very high price and lose money or B)Set a reasonable price and be fairly equivalent to the Wii U in terms of power, which is the more-than-likely scenario.

Nintendo has put itself in a VERY GOOD situation.

#94657 Grand Theft Auto Petition

Posted by Alianjaro on 20 July 2012 - 09:34 AM in Wii U Games and Software

I refuse to sign this petition, and am so appalled at the very idea that I am posting this message.
Let rockstar run their own business how they want to.

Their business depends on the fans. If the fans want the game on the Wii U, then its good for them...

#94620 what about physics gc and wii were fantastic just thought id ad a physics thread

Posted by Alianjaro on 20 July 2012 - 06:10 AM in Wii U Hardware

Monster hunter 3 huh.

I take it you are referring the extremely rare phenomenon of jiggle physics in a video game being used on something other than breasts.

Oh wait! My bad, I was talking about motion animation. Sorry. These were good in MH3, not the physics...

#94527 Olimar's Absence in Pikmin 3.

Oh well, the stars of the game are the Pikmins. It doeant really matter if Olimar is not playable IMO.

Oh and MH3's physics were awesome.

#94414 Is the Wii U Ultimately Doomed?

Posted by Alianjaro on 19 July 2012 - 06:30 AM in Wii U Hardware

Nintendo is gonna dominate the gaming market with the Wii U. That is all. *drops mic and walks out*

*Silence everywhere... Suddenly, one man stands up and claps his hands. Then another one, and another one. In a matter of seconds, the whole room had denied the silence in a hour-long standing ovation...*

#94412 A personally weird thought...

Posted by Alianjaro on 19 July 2012 - 06:25 AM in General Gaming

This is coming from someone who has never owned a PS3 or Xbox 360 yet. Call me "noob" if you will.

I have this wishful feeling that Wii U is going to be somewhat of a savior for me. Prestigious games such as Mass Effect, Call of Duty, and the Batman: Arkham series are porting to Wii U, and it has me thinking; is there really a need to buy a PS3/360 at this point? Of course, we know that they both have their exclusivity as far as game library, but then again, the chances of me hitting two birds with one stone with some games seems hopeful. I'm a Nintendo head before Sony, and I've never been big on Microsoft outside of Windows. But there were a few games that I had like to play but wasn't willing to purchase the console just for said few. I don't even wanna THINK about PS4 or Xbox 720 right now...

I suppose the best (and only) thing I can do right now is wait it out since I still have some time. If this pulls off, I'll be shocked as an old gamer to pass through this gen without owning either of the big dogs.

Please keep your thoughts and opinions cordial.

The only criticism I'd like to tell you about your reasoning is... Why do you call it weird? I think the exact same way...

#94368 ExciteBike/ExciteTruck

Posted by Alianjaro on 18 July 2012 - 06:54 PM in Wii U Games and Software

Never played any of the Excite games besides the one on NES ( played it on my 3DS as a 3D Classic though). Truck looks cool to play and I will check it out sometime. I'm up for a sequel, but instead of a new ExciteTruck what about a new ExciteBike? Not 2D though.

I see no reason why ExciteBike and ExciteTruck should be two different games. I agree with you and I would like to see both trucks and bikes in the same game.

#94329 Grand Theft Auto Petition

Please sign this petition if you want GTA 5 on the Wii U: http://www.change.or...to-v-for-wii-u#
Even if your not going to play it or buy it. You should still sign it because it will drag more people onto the Nintendo consoles and get more users and offer Nintendo more success.

DAYUM I SWEAR I WAS THINKING ABOUT STARTING SUCH A PETITION ! ! ! I'm glad to see it. I'll sign and share the link everywhere. Hey, you should give a name to this operation since we're gonna talk about it...

#94294 Epic uses for the Wii U gamepad! (mockups and concepts)

Posted by Alianjaro on 18 July 2012 - 11:05 AM in Wii U Games and Software

Fifa 13 and Pes 13 are confirmed. But when did they ever talk about an announce?

They're already confirmed for the Wii U? That was the announce I was talking about. And for the tactics thing, I will try to find the quote.

#94293 ExciteBike/ExciteTruck

Posted by Alianjaro on 18 July 2012 - 11:03 AM in Wii U Games and Software

I just thought about it. ExciteTruck was a great game, yet a bit rushed and overlooked by Nintendo itself. You know, we've got three main categories in racing games. You've got the realistic ones in circuit (Forza, Gran Turismo, Project C.A.R.S.), the party-like unrealistic ones (Mario Kart) and you've got the realistic ones in an open world (Need For Speed). But, after a bit of thinking, its obvious that ExciteTruck is in none of these categories, meaning that it has no other games to keep up with and can have a whole new fanbase.

For those who don't know, ExciteTruck is a kind of realistic yet insanely fast-paced Monster truck racing game published by Nintendo that is part of the ExciteBike series.

This game has a lot of potential and can become a real hardcore game. So here's my idea.

No more 2D motorbike racing. This was fun in the 80's, but now there's no way that kind of game sells well now. If they want to do that, then its good for the e-Shop as a Wii U-Ware game. I'm thinking of a fast-paced and crazy motorbike game. It would go fast with mud all over the place and you would be able to perform a crazy chain of stunts (maybe using the GamePad?) while high (and I mean HIGH) in mid-air. You'd be racing in a rather opened area at a moment while in another situation you'd be hitting the hell out of your opponent in a confined space.

There would be an online exhibition (dunno if I wrote it well) mode where you'll have to perform as much crazy tricks as possible. The other guys waiting for their turn would be the judges panel giving you a mark out of ten. (No cheating, if someone gives an insanely bad mark that is totally different from what the other guys gave, then it would be ignored.)

There would also be a team race as well as a free-for-all race mode online and offline. There would be a racing exhibition mode (team and single) where the team that has the most points wins (considering that stunts make you earn points).

The exact same would apply to monster trucks.

There would also be deep bike and truck customisation.

What do you think of it? Discuss.

#94288 Project Cars

Posted by Alianjaro on 18 July 2012 - 10:21 AM in Wii U Games and Software

Yes, I'm surprised the car doesn't explode after the first turn I crash so hard. At the end of the race I'm like a minute behind the leader.

Yeah same with me. I remember playing that rally game were the car can stop working if it gets too much damage. That was so hard...

#94287 Epic uses for the Wii U gamepad! (mockups and concepts)

Posted by Alianjaro on 18 July 2012 - 10:18 AM in Wii U Games and Software

trading card games is pretty cool... if combined with the nfc functions.. it'll be a lot better.. you know, buy actual cards, scan on the nfc.. there you go :D

here is another one.. Fifa or any football games on the wii u.. imagine that you can change players and tactics on the fly using the screen, without having to pause the game.. I think this is a huge plus especially with in an offline multiplayer game with your friends....

i would do an image for this.. but i suck at image editing.. it'll take years.. lol

You know that Fifa's main dev said he would do that if a Fifa game was to be anounced (hopefully he'll announce it at that fall conference).

#94285 Project Cars

Posted by Alianjaro on 18 July 2012 - 10:11 AM in Wii U Games and Software

It looks fun and the graphics are great, but I'm not sure if I'll get it since I've always been terrible at realistic racing games.

LOL same here. Are you the kind of guy that NEVER wants to break even when you gotta do a hairpin turn? I'm asking because I am :P.
