Hey but there are tons of hardcore games that arent violent!I'm forced to play casual games. My mom won't let me play hardcore games even though I really want to because I'm thirteen. But I like ZombiU and I understand about your goddaughter and you being squemish. I'm sort of a ZombiU fanboy and I'm being nice here but again I like ZombiU. No offense though. Its a zombie game even though they're infected zombies are in awy still human which means they still have and the reason that there's so much is because like I said its a zombie game it needs those effects.
BTW 100th post :-)

I know what youre talking about. Star Fox Adventures had that charm too. And a 3D donkey kong has so much potential. They couldnt afford to screw it up.A DK64 sequel would be nice. Honestly, it never passed my mind only because I never thought it would be possible for anyone, even Rare, to recreate the charm of DK64. DK64 had something very special. Not sure what it was, but it was there. I'm afraid to even see DK in a 3D environment at this point. I can't explain it, but I truly fear...

It did suffer from foot missions but overall assault was way better than adventures, which wasn't even a star fox game just like how Kirby epic yarn wasn't a Kirby game, assault also had a fun multiplayer or at least I thought it was fun and it felt like a star fox game.
I will have to disagree with you guys. StarFox Adventures was definitely a StarFox game, just like Kirby Epic Yarn is. The story definitely fits in the StarFox storyline. The only thing that is different is that it is an adventure game and that it doesnt use technology. You guys are having the same reaction than when Zelda 2 was released. People complained about the fact that it was a sidescroller and that it didnt feel like Zelda. The thing that was wrong about that reasoning was that Zelda 2 was the second game of the series, so there wasnt any tendancy or rule stating that Zelda should be a top-down adventure to feel like a Zelda. But now it is considered as a classic Nintendo game. Same with StarFox Adventures. It was back then the second entry of the series (StarFox 64 was a remake) so there is no rule that says that StarFox should be a space shooter. If Mario became a beat em up game, then we could say its not a Mario. We cant do that with StarFox.I had heard that Assault was more "starfox-like". Adventures sure wasn't. They just threw fox into an action game with dinosaurs and called it Starfox.
IMO StarFox Adventures was the best StarFox and my personal favorite GameCube game.
I agree with you. Here is an old topic I posted to show my ideas concerning a new StarFox game, take a look if you want: http://thewiiu.com/t...timate-fantasm/What I see StarFox now as is just StarFox 64 ports or lousy portable versions *cough* StarFox Command *cough*.
But what about the sequel to the last great StarFox game Assault? Are they just sitting there expecting you to play it over and over until the disk breaks? I think they are working on a massive air to on foot adventure that they had back on the Gamecube just back in 2005. I definatly think its going to take advantage of the WiiU's controller to use it to shoot and the sticks to control the craft your riding in.
So do you want to see what they can do on this new system?
Any thoughts on this
Wish list:
-On foot missions and vast variety of weapons
-New Aperiods to set off the next story
-More realistic looking effects as in textures and ballistics
-A deep and immersive storyline
-New Characters (including the original cast)
-New planets
-Online Multiplayer
-Improved on foot mechanics
-New story (Multipath and multiending)
-Co-Op online and off
-Nothing like command
Anything else?

LOL Good Job man, you found out some great quotes! I needed a quick laugh so... thanksThis is just a topic for me just to rant on why he is the worst video game analyst so yeah
1. he makes statements that are just assumptions like
“Activision never said anything to me, but I know that [for] big games like Call Of Duty they said, ‘No, we’re not putting it on there if you don’t give us a conventional controller’. So they gave in." this is a quote from micheal patcher so based off of no fact or proof he said this
2. he said this “[The Wii] worked, they got lucky," do you think they just got lucky or is it because they found a new market of casual gamers
3.I don’t get it. I think that essentially this is a solution in search of a problem. I mean, somebody had an idea–’let’s make the controller a tablet’–and there aren’t many games that are going to take advantage of that.” another amazing quote from Micheal Patcher. So no games can use this what about MMOs or RTS that usally dont work on consoles RPGs and many other types of games how could you say that no games would take advantage of the touchscreen
4. so overall i just think michel patcher is the worst video game analyst that is biased to Nintendo making complete Bull crap statments so yeah
EDIT: sorry for the font coudnt figure out how to fix it

Youve got the Classic Controller...nintendo should have just listened to half there fan base to know we wanted a normal controller back
WATCH YOUR LANGUAGE ! ! ! You called it an industry analyst! BLASPHEMY ! ! ! GAAAAAAAAAARGH ! ! !This guy is just kind of weird in the sense that he just kind of talks out of nowhere all of the time, making assumptions, making stuff up. You know, what some industry analysts often do.
The thing is, that thing is not an analyst.

Based on what could you say that? I know I posted this earlier but I am going to repeat it. StarFox Adventures really is a StarFox game. Just like Zelda 2 is a Zelda game. You know, people complained about the fact that Adventures was an adventure game just like how people complained about Zelda 2 being a sidescroller. But there is no valuable reason for that. Zelda 2 was the second game of the series, so there was no tendancy or rule that stated that Zelda should be a top-down adventure game, so why not be a sidescroller? Its EXACTLY the same thing with SF: Adventures, which is also the second game of its series (SF64 is a remake of the first StarFox). Why not making Fox investigate in an on-foot adventure?"Star Fox Assault 2" is just a placeholder name for the next entry in the series...which happens to be exactly what I was talking about. It could be Star Fox Command Wii U for all we know. What's the difference?
It seems a lot more relevant to compare aspects of older Star Fox games than to bring up, say, Battlefield 3. But hey, maybe I'm just wrong.
I just finished reading somewhere that Miyamoto stated that the series is not doing as well as Nintendo had projected. Sales are just not strong with it. I personally don't think it's any coincidence, the brand has an identity problem. It used to be just about flying in space blowing things up. Now you buy a SF game and you really don't know what you're getting.
I don't even count Adventures. It's really not a SF game at all, but we all know that.
The story makes total sense in the series. It's not like Fox went in another solar system to beat up a certain nobody random ennemy. It's still Andross and its still in the Lylat system. The storyline is flawless and doesn't screw up the whole series like SF: Command's multiple endings.
With that being said (for the second time

Actually the original game (Dinosaur Planet: Tricky's Adventure) was planned for N64 and then was abandoned. When they decided to restart it, then they chose to tag Fox in. We've gotta consider SF: Adventures as an extra game. They originally werent planning on making a new SF game at the time. They just transformed a new IP into StarFox. If they had continued with the original game, we just would never have had that StarFox game.I think lot of people were upset with Adventures because the genre completely changed. And there is the fact that when Adventures was originally being developed, it was not affiliated with Star Fox, just near the end, they decided to replace some of the original characters with Star Fox characters and fit it in with the Star Fox plot line.
I guess most people were expecting the space shooter that Star Fox has always been up until that point.
"The Zelda-like gameplay was also considered one of the game's strengths, but some argued that it was too much of a departure from previous Star Fox games." -from Wikipedia
When people heard that a new StarFox game was in development, they shouldnt have expected a conventional SF game because they knew Nintendo would do an adventure game, so if they were upset, it only because they werent well informed. If the game originally was a StarFox game and that they decided then to transform it into an adventure game, I'd be upset, too. But it's not the case.
I can understand though why some people were surprised, but I can't stand to hear people saying its not a SF game.
BTW sorry for all the flaming, SFA is my all-time favorite GC game

You know that Fifa's main dev said he would do that if a Fifa game was to be anounced (hopefully he'll announce it at that fall conference).trading card games is pretty cool... if combined with the nfc functions.. it'll be a lot better.. you know, buy actual cards, scan on the nfc.. there you go
here is another one.. Fifa or any football games on the wii u.. imagine that you can change players and tactics on the fly using the screen, without having to pause the game.. I think this is a huge plus especially with in an offline multiplayer game with your friends....
i would do an image for this.. but i suck at image editing.. it'll take years.. lol

Yeah same with me. I remember playing that rally game were the car can stop working if it gets too much damage. That was so hard...Yes, I'm surprised the car doesn't explode after the first turn I crash so hard. At the end of the race I'm like a minute behind the leader.

For those who don't know, ExciteTruck is a kind of realistic yet insanely fast-paced Monster truck racing game published by Nintendo that is part of the ExciteBike series.
This game has a lot of potential and can become a real hardcore game. So here's my idea.
No more 2D motorbike racing. This was fun in the 80's, but now there's no way that kind of game sells well now. If they want to do that, then its good for the e-Shop as a Wii U-Ware game. I'm thinking of a fast-paced and crazy motorbike game. It would go fast with mud all over the place and you would be able to perform a crazy chain of stunts (maybe using the GamePad?) while high (and I mean HIGH) in mid-air. You'd be racing in a rather opened area at a moment while in another situation you'd be hitting the hell out of your opponent in a confined space.
There would be an online exhibition (dunno if I wrote it well) mode where you'll have to perform as much crazy tricks as possible. The other guys waiting for their turn would be the judges panel giving you a mark out of ten. (No cheating, if someone gives an insanely bad mark that is totally different from what the other guys gave, then it would be ignored.)
There would also be a team race as well as a free-for-all race mode online and offline. There would be a racing exhibition mode (team and single) where the team that has the most points wins (considering that stunts make you earn points).
The exact same would apply to monster trucks.
There would also be deep bike and truck customisation.
What do you think of it? Discuss.

I see no reason why ExciteBike and ExciteTruck should be two different games. I agree with you and I would like to see both trucks and bikes in the same game.Never played any of the Excite games besides the one on NES ( played it on my 3DS as a 3D Classic though). Truck looks cool to play and I will check it out sometime. I'm up for a sequel, but instead of a new ExciteTruck what about a new ExciteBike? Not 2D though.

The only criticism I'd like to tell you about your reasoning is... Why do you call it weird? I think the exact same way...This is coming from someone who has never owned a PS3 or Xbox 360 yet. Call me "noob" if you will.
I have this wishful feeling that Wii U is going to be somewhat of a savior for me. Prestigious games such as Mass Effect, Call of Duty, and the Batman: Arkham series are porting to Wii U, and it has me thinking; is there really a need to buy a PS3/360 at this point? Of course, we know that they both have their exclusivity as far as game library, but then again, the chances of me hitting two birds with one stone with some games seems hopeful. I'm a Nintendo head before Sony, and I've never been big on Microsoft outside of Windows. But there were a few games that I had like to play but wasn't willing to purchase the console just for said few. I don't even wanna THINK about PS4 or Xbox 720 right now...
I suppose the best (and only) thing I can do right now is wait it out since I still have some time. If this pulls off, I'll be shocked as an old gamer to pass through this gen without owning either of the big dogs.
Please keep your thoughts and opinions cordial.
