Gliscor just because of the lack of black pupils. I never really got bothered by either, tbh. I like Watchhog's eyes.

Nothing really. I'm currently reading a Harry Potter book and last night in chat I changed my avatar to some of the Dursley characters.

For the first time or a reread? :3 Those books made my childhood so magical ha.

10/10, saved.

Hehe thanks. xD

#172433 My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic

Would've preferred a better musical to cartoon ratio and better lyrics for the "True Friend" song. Regardless, it worked better than I expected for something that needs to be two episodes, mostly because of forcing plot development into songs. As for the "certain game with a Wolf Link" *cough*. Eh. I was never fond of the idea and still dislike it but the episode hasn't made MLP "ruined forever" for me or anything yet. I'll have to wait for season 4 to see how bad it is. Umn... yeah. TL;DR: Shoulda been a two parter.

I almost want to watch it just to see her fail at being human. I really hope that orange pony at 0:06 and 0:22 doesn't become her love interest. X_X Looks like Shining fell in a vat of orange juice.

While on this topic, FS/PP's VA is soooooo adorable. Hahaha.

Oh and look, I drew a pony a while back.

I find half the parody videos creepier than actual MLP. xD

The premier could've been better. I get that Sombero was supposed to be more of a constant "presence" sort of threat, and that once he infiltrated it basically meant game over... So it was "okay" for him to sit on his smokey butt and growl all day. But I agree that he needed more characterization, even if he himself didn't get any more lines.

Also wanted to facepalm at RD being overly aggressive... and Shining throwing his wife wtf lol. Looking forward to more eps.

Always a little jarring to see how much he supports the Wii U. I've seen other people praise it but never with this much excitement lol

What's the significance of it only running on 1 core? Epic programming skills? Strong cpu?

#147398 Atheism.

Posted by Ixchel on 12 December 2012 - 09:16 PM in The Café

Why would god be nice?

Eh. I'd just hope that a god would be nice to the playthings it created. And we're really just playthings used to fuel a bet between him and Lucifer according to the Christian bibles. :P

In terms of the Garden of Eden it does. Be it that God made man directly from a star dust and then ripped a rib out of Adam to make Eve. http://en.wikipedia....ki/Adam_and_Eve

Um yes, I well know about the creation story. Been in Catholic school most of my life and all. :P
I just... Well. The Bible was never taught literally, so I forget that some people actually believe their god performed some weird surgery on a guy and created a female lol. Although, there's still not too many contradictions, if you believe that through stardust and evolution God created humans. Though the whole thing with the snake annoys me. It's called a snake even when it still has legs. Bah, whatever.

#146979 Atheism.

Posted by Ixchel on 12 December 2012 - 08:18 AM in The Café

Ehh. Agnostic leaning on athiest. I was raised in a half Catholic home, went to Catholic/Private school from preschool to 12th grade.
Both of my schools taught evolution with no mention of it conflicting with religion. I had no idea it was an issue until I found it on the internet.

I believed in a God unquestioningly until about the middle school grades I guess. The longer the Catholic environment went on, the more I began to lose faith. Too many inconsistencies, etc, and the god of the Bible is a jerk. If I were to be Catholic, I'd take the majority of the Bible as fabricated fairy tales used to teach morals. Such as the story of Job, creation, etc. I lost faith completely somewhere in my highschool years, but I still have that instilled guilt and fear.

Anyways, how did evolution come up as an issue? It doesn't go against the existence of a god in the slightest. Besides, you only have to look at species of bacteria and viruses to see that it happens. How do you think we keep getting new strains of germs after we vaccinate ourselves? Surely a god isn't just popping them into existence to troll us. Then again, it'd fit with his personality in the Bible. :/

#238399 Wonderful 101 is the reason to own a Wii U

Posted by Ixchel on 10 August 2013 - 08:12 PM in Wii U Games and Software

Did pretty poorly myself, but I suck at action games. :P Couldn't figure out how to do anything beyond the basic B+A and having multiple unite morphs out at once. And I don't mean the drawing and controls, that stuff was fine. I looked at the options before playing the demo, and it listed the controls. I'm questioning reviews where people somehow had trouble drawing the symbols... Though I admit it was a little picky with the right angle morph, the circle and straight lines worked perfectly. I liked it, considering purchasing. It has a nice aesthetic too.

#238699 Wonderful 101 is the reason to own a Wii U

Posted by Ixchel on 11 August 2013 - 10:57 PM in Wii U Games and Software

Looks like there is something special in Platinum games only their fans could understand and, guess what - they're not that many. It's not the company having a curse, it is it just sucking pretty hard.

Just kidding, don't overreact again. But they shouldn't have published such an elaborate game to the mass public because they aren't nearly as many Platinum Games fans owning a Wii U as the company needs to sell the game successfully. It may be a great game but judging by the comments it's complexity is putting people off. We don't live in the '90s anymore when you had to use your brain to beat a game, nowadays people are too lazy to play a game like the W101 the way it is meant to be played.

Honestly... I don't think it's overly complicated in a hard to play way. And I'm saying it as someone who scored very poorly by the end of the demo lol. The only flaw of the demo was dropping you right into the action, with the only obvious help for noobs being short on screen hints, no time to practice one feature at a time, with other help being relatively hidden. (visited the menu several times and didn't even realize that there were gems to cheat your way out)

I'm sure the actual game will be easier and less chaotic from the start. So... I think this game can easily have mass appeal in a sort of "easy to learn hard to master" sort of way, even if that means a lot of people who enjoyed the game ends up with bronze trophies or lower lol. This seems to be similar to the whole Monster Hunter demo problem. It was more a demo for previous fans than people looking to get into the series. They did over power you, but you were sorta on your own to figure it all out.

#209553 Xbox 720 Official Reveal Thread

Posted by Ixchel on 21 May 2013 - 11:07 AM in General Gaming

Never had a Microsoft console and this reveal didn't tempt me over even with some of the cool stuff such as the speed of switching programs. No real opinion on it besides the console looking very ugly. Half of it seems to be grated, perhaps for airflow, so I can't really fault it for the aesthetics if it's for function. Eh, it'll probably sell well if it's priced low. I've always assumed the 360 did well because the PS3 was expensive, so I really don't know what to expect if it's priced to make a profit. Neither look like "budget hardcore shooter" consoles.

#219524 Official PS4 E3 Conference discussion thread

Wow... So far I think I liked Sony's the best, but that's a given considering they had a whole console to unveil.

Seriously though, is there a double agent? How do two companies independently come up with the idea to mix textures like that? Haven't seen it before.

Pikmin 3 is also the reason I got one. I was hesitant at first because I had other things I could get for Xmas... But Pikmin solidified it. I'd have to wait til the summer to get it as a bday gift otherwise. >>;;

I agree, I find the original way more fun because of it. The second almost feels like Animal Crossing because of how leisurely I can be. o-o
