#135380 ZombiU 2 possible only if ZombiU sells well

Posted by Ixchel on 21 November 2012 - 09:54 AM in Wii U Games and Software

I can't see this not doing well. I've bought it also.

#132598 zombi U review from ign

Posted by Ixchel on 18 November 2012 - 03:05 PM in Wii U Games and Software

Yeah... I'm just gonna take a gamble with the game. I think it'll be at least a 7.0 for me. I admit the textures do look muddier than they should... even in a dirty zombie world. But it's not stopping me from buying it. It seems to have good gameplay and I'll get it for 20% off, so either way it's worth it.

#229145 You go on a date, which one of you pays the bill?

Posted by Ixchel on 05 July 2013 - 04:57 PM in The Café

It depends. Sometimes, I pay exactly what my bill is, including tip, sometimes I split half, and sometimes we take turns paying. But uh, there's not exactly any guy to pay so haha. Unless a friend is forcing me out the house, in which case I make them pay for my presence. xD

#211473 Xbox One Haters: Does this change your opinion?

Posted by Ixchel on 26 May 2013 - 02:22 PM in General Gaming

Even if this rumor states that there's no fee for used games, it still says that trying to play the game on a second console disables the authentication on the original console. That still means that friends can't try games without screwing the original owner over; basically the same thing.

To be fair, normally lending a game to a friend means you can't play it until they return it, right? I don't really mind them doing what emulates physical copies.

#209553 Xbox 720 Official Reveal Thread

Posted by Ixchel on 21 May 2013 - 11:07 AM in General Gaming

Never had a Microsoft console and this reveal didn't tempt me over even with some of the cool stuff such as the speed of switching programs. No real opinion on it besides the console looking very ugly. Half of it seems to be grated, perhaps for airflow, so I can't really fault it for the aesthetics if it's for function. Eh, it'll probably sell well if it's priced low. I've always assumed the 360 did well because the PS3 was expensive, so I really don't know what to expect if it's priced to make a profit. Neither look like "budget hardcore shooter" consoles.

#131035 wow the black friday looks crazy...

Posted by Ixchel on 16 November 2012 - 05:27 PM in The Café

And people wonder why prices are naturally so damn high. There just can't be good bargains everywhere all the time or the worst of people will be unleashed.

Wouldn't be bargains if it's the normal price :P The fact that there's good bargains at only one time of the year is what causes this. Black Friday doesn't bother me. I get good deals and avoid those situations.

#131043 wow the black friday looks crazy...

Posted by Ixchel on 16 November 2012 - 05:37 PM in The Café

Yea, I know. That's my point. If bargains were frequent, Black Friday would be a normal day.

Thought you were suggesting people would be raging all the time lol.

#237749 Would you had done anything different with releasing the WiiU?

Posted by Ixchel on 08 August 2013 - 12:46 AM in Wii U Games and Software

Rambling conjecture:

Spoiler

Honestly... I think Nintendo just wants the Wii U to sell on word of mouth and brand recognition. Look at them talking about their 4mil from the Miiverse games that they put almost no effort in acknowledging it exists.

#239794 Would you buy a Legacy Controller (gamecube style)?

Posted by Ixchel on 17 August 2013 - 08:23 AM in Wii U Hardware

I wouldn't buy it just to have it unless... Perhaps it came in an awesome color, or I wanted more controllers for multiplayer. Which probably won't happen as I have the gamepad, pro, and a couple of wiimotes and nunchucks, along with a classic controller if necessary.

#240210 would you buy a Gamepad XL?

Posted by Ixchel on 19 August 2013 - 03:33 AM in Wii U Hardware

Nope. Even for artists, you can just zoom in. Text could be fixed with settings... The Gamepad right now is already borderline with its weight. Lighter than it looks, but you kinda notice the weight if you play all day...

#127709 Worst Wii U launch titles

Posted by Ixchel on 11 November 2012 - 02:39 PM in Wii U Games and Software

Eh. SiNG really IS a game, right? Not just unscored karaoke? I've seen no mention of scores, etc, just chicks reading lyrics off the GamePad and people pretending to enjoy her singing lol.

#238399 Wonderful 101 is the reason to own a Wii U

Posted by Ixchel on 10 August 2013 - 08:12 PM in Wii U Games and Software

Did pretty poorly myself, but I suck at action games. :P Couldn't figure out how to do anything beyond the basic B+A and having multiple unite morphs out at once. And I don't mean the drawing and controls, that stuff was fine. I looked at the options before playing the demo, and it listed the controls. I'm questioning reviews where people somehow had trouble drawing the symbols... Though I admit it was a little picky with the right angle morph, the circle and straight lines worked perfectly. I liked it, considering purchasing. It has a nice aesthetic too.

#238699 Wonderful 101 is the reason to own a Wii U

Posted by Ixchel on 11 August 2013 - 10:57 PM in Wii U Games and Software

Looks like there is something special in Platinum games only their fans could understand and, guess what - they're not that many. It's not the company having a curse, it is it just sucking pretty hard.

Just kidding, don't overreact again. But they shouldn't have published such an elaborate game to the mass public because they aren't nearly as many Platinum Games fans owning a Wii U as the company needs to sell the game successfully. It may be a great game but judging by the comments it's complexity is putting people off. We don't live in the '90s anymore when you had to use your brain to beat a game, nowadays people are too lazy to play a game like the W101 the way it is meant to be played.

Honestly... I don't think it's overly complicated in a hard to play way. And I'm saying it as someone who scored very poorly by the end of the demo lol. The only flaw of the demo was dropping you right into the action, with the only obvious help for noobs being short on screen hints, no time to practice one feature at a time, with other help being relatively hidden. (visited the menu several times and didn't even realize that there were gems to cheat your way out)

I'm sure the actual game will be easier and less chaotic from the start. So... I think this game can easily have mass appeal in a sort of "easy to learn hard to master" sort of way, even if that means a lot of people who enjoyed the game ends up with bronze trophies or lower lol. This seems to be similar to the whole Monster Hunter demo problem. It was more a demo for previous fans than people looking to get into the series. They did over power you, but you were sorta on your own to figure it all out.

#159928 Woman Dies After having Sex w/Dog, Owner Freed

.........................................
I just..... Well that's not weirder than the story about that guy who f***ed a cow.

I think Mr. Hands is the worst...

#158500 Woman Dies After having Sex w/Dog, Owner Freed

Posted by Ixchel on 11 January 2013 - 05:42 AM in The Café

Poor dog! I'm surprised she had that bad of an allergic reaction though. I don't usually hear about sperm allergies. Even within the same species it's usually mild. I guess zoophiles need to be more careful now...

Did here a story of a lady being stuck on her dog and couldny get him off for a few hrs.

That's quite normal if the dog's big enough. They have features to keep female dogs stuck. Sucks for them. >>;;

#238721 Wind Waker U Discussion

Posted by Ixchel on 12 August 2013 - 03:20 AM in Wii U Games and Software

I can always borrow the game from my brother. I suppose it depends on if Nintendo gives me a reason to. I have no problems at all with playing older games. Maybe if I find that the sailing really is THAT slow I'll consider.

#231469 Will you buy Pikmin3, or not?

Posted by Ixchel on 14 July 2013 - 08:51 AM in Wii U Games and Software

Launch day. Pikmin 3 was the "system seller" for me. One of my favorite Nintendo franchises. :)

#116734 Will there be a revised Wii U in the future?

Posted by Ixchel on 11 October 2012 - 12:34 PM in Wii U Hardware

Actually, Nintendo revised the Wii twice, first without that bulky Silver stand, and the next without Gamecube ports, because the latest versions don't come with Gamecube controller ports. Google it if you don't believe me. Nintendo made them like the last year into selling the Wii, because they knew they were concentrating on the Wii U.

What does the stand have to do with it? It can stand without one... I'm confused lol. Never heard of this.

#137991 WiiU Console Freezing

Posted by Ixchel on 25 November 2012 - 10:52 AM in Wii U Hardware

I wasn't going to wait a long time to send and receive a WiiU. I decided to return and exchange it from my place of purchase. ... Now I'm in the process of having my Nintendo Network Account transfered to my new console by a Nintendo Administrator.

This is what caught my attention. Confirmation for remote account transfer?

#135644 Wii Updating

Posted by Ixchel on 21 November 2012 - 03:23 PM in General Gaming

I've never heard of an update bricking a modded Wii. I've done it before and all's that happened is it removed the HBC.

#135676 Wii Updating

Posted by Ixchel on 21 November 2012 - 04:20 PM in General Gaming

But what happened to Priiloader and Wiiflow? Did they delete too?

I've never used those honestly. Never found the need to. Can't you just reinstall the original stuff to completely unmod though, if you really are that worried? Did you make a NAND backup?

#135763 Wii Updating

Posted by Ixchel on 21 November 2012 - 06:42 PM in General Gaming

I already deleted HBC and BootMii. When I made the backup every bit of modding software was still on my Wii, so I think it might have been copied into the NAND backup.

I think you should just google how to uninstall Priiloader and stuff if you're that worried.

#135757 Wii Updating

Posted by Ixchel on 21 November 2012 - 06:34 PM in General Gaming

My backup files are nand.bin, keys.bin and a Bootmii file. Bootmii is already off my Wii so, how would I install my backup if I needed to???

Um. I think you would have to reinstall Bootmii to use your NAND backup. If you did it like how I did, then your NAND should be clean except for BootMii and the HBC. If that's the case, then you can have an unmodded wii after doing the nand backup, then uninstalling bootmii and HBC. I would look to see how to simply uninstall Priiloader and Wiiflow, since it sounds like the most direct route...

Edit: Actually, now that I think about. You may want to leave BootMii on your Wii when you do the update, so that if it bricks you can apply the NAND backup.
Edit 2: Just remembered that it might only work if you install BootMii as Boot2.

#132225 Wii U's RAM is slower than PS3/Xbox 360.

What's the significance of it only running on 1 core? Epic programming skills? Strong cpu?
