What about a Yoshi game? There's a possibility since the last Yoshi game was a remake of yoshi's island, so I think it's time for a new Yoshi game.

Meh. Yoshi's Island 3 and we'll talk... Maybe. I'd rather see that on the 3DS, though. Using 2D sprites, just like the SNES game... But that's just me.

I am definitely buying this game. I have played every Mario game Nintendo has ever released (Including Mario is Missing, Mario Teaches Typing, and other obscure titles. Helps to have been born in the 80's...) so I see no reason to stop now. I have the same concerns as you do. I mean, there must be more the Wii U Game Pad than just creating platforms. I thought being Player 2 in Super Mario Galaxy was bad, but this appears to be worse.
Then again, maybe it'll be fun? I don't know. Won't know until I play it.

I can't really see smart glass working with it as not everyone has a tablet and it will be difficult to use since the tablet's not the controller so you have to use two devices at once.
I'm going to agree with you on all points. This game was designed to be played on the WiiU.

The launch line-up looks pretty solid. I don't care for the casual games they've got listed, but they're few and far between, so that's a plus.
It has become apparent to me that I won't be buying many of the launch window games, and that's ok. With buying the console, and andextra Wii U Gamepad, I'll already be spending way too much money this holiday season. In my opinion I'd rather pick up a few choice titles at launch and save up for more AAA titles that release soon after.
Just my two cents.

While I have no inside information to share, I'd still bet a fairly large sum of money on a Zelda game releasing on the WiiU. Nintendo would be pretty dumb not to do it.

Well, hopefully they aren't too slow on the Virtual console releases. They would release games only once in a while, and then it's not even really that good. Hopefully Nintendo fixes the output resolution problems on the games. I can't even play Neo Geo games on the Wii because I have the component cables and they set the resolution to one that my tv doesn't support.
I don't expect the release pace to pick up, but maybe with this news Nintendo may realise the potential.
I've never had any resolution problems, but that may be because my TV is only 720p. I'm considering upgrading to 1080p when the WiiU finally releases.

I pretty much lost all hope with the Wii U. Sorry but I can't risk another 6 years of Wii scenario again, this gen was the worst for me. Hoping that the Wii U delivers even if i'll be waiting for the next consoles
Alrighty, well I hope you're not basing this all on the E3 press conference. Honestly look at the individual developer websites. They paint a better picture. Especially look at Aliens: Colonial Marines. That game looks very promising.

Awesome! I completely quit buying VC games years ago, when the DSi released, because Nintendo was stupid. Now they're no longer stupid. I can resume buying VC games now.

I am disappointed with the software titles shown at E3 as well, but I do have several choice games that I am buying immediately, and none of them are "casual" titles.
You have to pay attention to the core titles that you know are coming out, but may not have been demonstrated at E3. Fore example Aliens: Colonial Marines is a "core" title and it wasn't demonstrated. I've been paying attention to this title and everything I've seen on various websites says I must own it on the WiiU; mostly because it's going to be the *best* version of the game. Another good example is Mass Effect 3. That one was not demonstrated either, but I have been paying attention to it as well and it also looks like a must-have game!
As far what was seen at E3 I am getting the WiiU exclusive ZombiU, Batman: Arkham City, and New Super Mario Bros. U (So that last title is not necessarily a "hardcore" title, but damn. It's Mario. I'm buying it anyway).
There are some really great games releasing on the WiiU, just look beyond E3. You will find a lot of games with enhancements that are exclusive to the console.

I would love to see an F-Zero game on the WiiU! I'm not going to get my hopes up, though. They tried to replace Wave Race with Wii Sports Resort, and it was a huge fail.

No. At least, that much wasn't obvious in the little that was shown. For example, nothing was mentioned about "survivors" or scanning zombies.

The only conferences I ever watch at E3 are the Nintendo conferences. The only exception was the year Microsoft unveiled the Kinnect. That one was terrible. Nothing presented there made me want one.
