Meh. I don't know. I think it would be a mistake to have the Wii U box art look so similar to the Wii box art, especially with Reggie talking about having both consoles on the market simultaneously.

I would have to agree. I don't think Capcom wants to confirm it, and I don't really know why. It's a perfect fit for Wii U. It seems to be me that Capcom hasn't been all that impressed by the console yet, which may be bad news... Or may not. It depends. There are a few developers right now that just seem to be on the fence, for one reason or another, and I think it's because Nintendo has hyped everyone up before, twice, and both times have failed to capture the core gaming audience. Developers may be understandably gun-shy and are waiting to see how the hardcore crowd reacts.
Or maybe not. I don't know. I'm just speculating.

We just saw the Wii U in the Nintendo Direct video and it wasn't redesigned, so I'm pretty sure it's not happening.
Well... 90% sure. Who knows, maybe what we saw in that video wasn't the final hardware, but I doubt that's the case.

While I do not believe Left 4 Dead will release on the Wii U, I do think the game they're hinting at may be a real software title in development. Who knows, it could be an unannounced title from Nintendo themselves.

When the Wii U Pro Controller was uneiled I screamed with glee, like a little school girl. Love it! It's obvious that I'm going to buy it on launch day, assuming it's available, I just have one question. Will it be available in black immediately or am I going to have to buy it twice (once in white and then again in black)?

Despite the fact that I've unlocked about 50% of all the achievements in Team Fortress 2, I don't like them. Actually I really don't like them. The purpose of playing is to have fun, not try and achieve some random, pointless, task just because the game says you need to.
Nobody tells me what I need to achieve, I do my own thing. And the only reason I've unlocked the Team Fortress 2 achievements is because I got most of them just playing. I wasn't really trying to get any of them.

Here's the thing. I never get to see E3 live because it always gets scheduled durring the week and I work a full-time job. Before that I was at school during E3, so I'll probably never get to watch it live until I retire when I'm old.
On the day of Nintendo's press conference I do not touch the Internet at work, for any reason, until I get home. I don't want to be spoiled. I know that I'll be able to watch the recorded conference at home and I want to be surprised as things get unveiled in front of me.
Other than, I may make some popcorn and grab a soda before I begin to stream the video. There really isn't much else a guy can do to prepare for it.
I hope this year is more exciting than the previous two. The unveiling of the 3DS was boring and just getting a glimpse of the Wii U was very anticlimactic... so... I guess we'll see what happens this time.

Besides the console itself, and maybe an extra Wii U controller (depending on whether or not 2 can be used simultaneously), not much else. One game for sure, but which one will depend on what I like the most at E3 this year.
I'd like to be able to purchase a first party title, like Mario. I don't know for sure that there will be a Mario launch title, though. Hopefully E3 will clarify this.
If there aren't any good Mario games at launch then I'll be forced to buy something 3rd party, but I don't know if there are any 3rd party launch titles I can get excited about yet. I haven't seen any good ones on the confirmed launch title list so far. Again, have to wait and see what really grabs my attention at E3.

While I'm not a fan of the fighter genre, I think I'm going to have to buy this game. It looks amazing in the announcement trailer, and I loves me some Batman. Picking this one up is an easy choice to make.

I can't really trust the source, so I will simply wait to see what is said at E3. Thank you for bringing this to my attention, though. It's a pretty awesome rumor, especially if it turns out to be true. We'll know soon enough.

As someone who works in the technology industry I think the likelihood of this happening is extremely low. First of all, DirectX is a Microsoft proprietary technology. For anyone to use it, they'd need to be running a Windows based OS, which I seriously doubt Nintendo will run on the Wii U.
What is more likely is using the latest OpenGL technology.
You can see OpenGL compared to DirectX on Youtube:

I'm not a huge CoD fan, but if BO2 turns out to be a real Wii U title then I'm all for it. I love first-person shooters, so the more the merrier in my own opinion.

I doubt they're going to charge anything to play online, but if they did I'd welcome it. Perhaps then there'd be a few less idiots ruining the online experience (Mario Kart Wii is infested with cheaters these days).
